¹Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus Christ, our Lord? Aren’t you my work in the Lord?

¹का मइँ स्वतन्त्र नाहीं हउँ? का मइँ भी एक प्रेरित नाही हऊँ? का मइँ हमार पर्भू ईसू मसीह क दर्सन नाहीं किहे अहउँ? का तू लोग पर्भू मँ मोर इ करम क उदाहरण नाहीं अहा।?

²If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

²चाहे दुसरन क बरे मइँ प्रेरित न भी होउँ तबउ मइँ तोहरे बरे त प्रेरित हउँ। काहेकि तू एक अइसेन मोहर क समान अहा जउन पर्भू मँ मोरे प्रेरित होइ क प्रमाणित करत ह।

³My defense to those who examine me is this.

³उ लोग जउन मोर जाँच करइ चाहत हीं, ओनके बरे आपन आत्मरच्छा मँ मोर उत्तर इ अहइ:

⁴Have we no right to eat and to drink?

⁴का हमका खाइ पियइ क अधिकार नाहीं बाटइ?

⁵Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

⁵का हमका इ अधिकार नाहीं कि कउनो बिसवासिनी पत्नी क हम अपने साथे लइ जाइ? जइसेन क दूसर प्रेरित, पर्भू क बन्धु अउर पतरस किहे रहेन।

⁶Or have only Barnabas and I no right to not work?

⁶अउर का बरनाबास अउर मोरे लगे ही इ अधिकार बा कि आपन आजीविका कमाइ क बरे हम कउनउ काम न करीं?

⁷What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn’t eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn’t drink from the flock’s milk?

⁷सेना मँ अइसेन के होइ जउन एक सिपाही क रूपे मँ अपने क वेतन देइ। अउर के होइ जउन अंगूर क बगिया लगाइके ओकर फल न चखी? या कउन अइसा अहइ जउन भेड़न क खरका क देखभाल न करत होइ पर ओकर दूध न पीअत होइ?

⁸Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn’t the law also say the same thing?

⁸का हम मानवीय चिन्तन क रूपे मँ ही अइसेन करत हई? आखिरकार का व्यवस्था क विधान भी अइसेन नाहीं कहत?

⁹For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Deuteronomy 25:4 Is it for the oxen that God cares,

¹⁰or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.

¹⁰(निस्चित रूप स उ एका क हमरे बरे नाहीं बतावत अहइ? हाँ, इ) हमरे बरे ही लिखा गवा रहा। काहेकि खेत जोतइवाला कीहीउ आसा स ही खेत जोतइ अउर खरिहाने मँ भूसा स अनाज अलगावइवाला फसल क कछू भाग पावइ क आसा तउ रखी।

¹¹If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?

¹¹फिन अगर हम तोहरे हिते क बरे आत्मिक बिया बोए अही तउ हम तोहसे भौतिक चीजन क फसल काटइ चाहित ह, इ का कउनउ बहुत बड़ी बात बा?

¹²If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ.

¹²अगर दूसर लोग तोहसे भौतिक चीजन पावइ क अधिकार रखत हीं तउ हमार तउ तोह पइ का अउर भी जियादा अधिकार नाहीं बा? मुला हम इ अधिकार क उपयोग नाहीं किहे अही। बल्कि हम तउ सब कछू सहत रहे ताकि हम मसीह क सुसमाचार क रस्ता मँ कउनउ बाधा न डाली देइ।

¹³Don’t you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar?

¹³का तू नाहीं जानत बाटया कि जउन लोग मंदिर मँ काम करत हीं उ पचे आपन खाना मंदिर स ही पावत हीं। अउर जउन नियमित रूप स वेदी क सेवा करत हीं वेदी क चढ़ावा मँ ओनकर हिस्सा होत ह?

¹⁴Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.

¹⁴इही तरह पर्भू व्यवस्था दिहे अहइ कि सुसमाचार क प्रचारकन क आजीविका सुसमाचार क प्रचार स ही होइ चाही।

¹⁵But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.

¹⁵मुला ओन्हन अधिकारन मँ स मइँ एक क कभउँ प्रयोग नाहीं किहेउँ। अउर इ बात मइँ ऍह बरे लिखेउँ नाहीं कि अइसेन कछू मोरे बिसय मँ कीन्हा जाई। बजाय एकरे कि कउनउ मोसे ओह बात केउ छीन लेइ जेकर मोका गरब बा। ऐसे तउ मइँ मरि जाब ही ठीक समझब।

¹⁶For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don’t preach the Good News.

¹⁶एह बरे अगर मइँ सुसमाचार क प्रचार करित ह तउ एहमाँ मोका गरब करइके कउनउ हेतु नाहीं बा काहेकि मोर त इ कर्तव्य बा। अउर अगर मइँ सुसमाचार क प्रचार न करउँ तउ मोरे बरे इ केतना खराब होइ।

¹⁷For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

¹⁷फिन अगर इ मइँ अपने इच्छा स करित ह तउ मइँ एकर पुरस्कार पावइ योग्ग हई, परन्तु अगर आपन इच्छा स नाहीं बल्कि कउनो नियुक्ति क कारण इ काम मोका सौंपा गवा ह।

¹⁸What then is my reward? That, when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.

¹⁸तउ फिन मोर पुरस्कार काहे क? इही बरे जब मइँ सुसमाचार क प्रचार करीत हउँ बिना कउनउ मूल लिहे ही ओका करउँ। ताकि सुसमाचार क प्रचार मँ जउन कछू पावइ क मोर अधिकार बा, मइँ ओकर कुल उपयोग न करउँ।

¹⁹For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.

¹⁹जद्यपि मइँ किहू मनई क बन्धन मँ नाहीं हउँ, फन मइँ खुद क तोहरे सबन क गुलाम बनाइ लिहे हउँ। ताकि मइँ अधिकतर लोगन क जीत सकउँ।

²⁰To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;

²⁰यहूदियन क बरे मइँ एक यहूदी जइसेन बनउँ, ताकि मइँ यहूदियन क उद्धार मँ मदद करि सकउँ मइँ खुद व्यवस्था क अधीन नाहीं अहउँ। जउन लोग व्यवस्था क अधीन अहइँ, ओनके बरे मइँ एक अइसेन मनई बरे जउन व्यवस्था क अधीन जइसेन बनेउँ। इ मइँ एह बरे किहे कि मइँ व्यवस्था क अधीनन क उद्धार करवइ मँ मदद कइ सकउँ।

²¹to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law.

²¹मइँ एक अइसेन मनई बने जउन व्यवस्था क नाहीं मानत। जद्यपि मइँ परमेस्सर क व्यवस्था स रहित नाहीं हउँ बल्कि मसीह क व्यवस्था क अधीन हउँ। तउ कि मइँ जउन व्यवस्था क नाहीं मानत हउँ ओन्हे जीत सकउँ।

²²To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.

²²जउन मनइयन कमजोर अहइँ, ओनके बरे मइँ कमजोर बनेउँ ताकि मइँ कमजोरन क उद्धार करावइ मँ मदद कइ सकी। हर किहू क बरे मइँ हर किहू जइसेन बनेउँ त कि हर सम्भव उपाय स ओनकर उद्धार कइ सकउँ।

²³Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it.

²³इ सब कछू मइँ सुसमाचार क बरे करत हउँ ताकि एकरे बरदानन मँ मोर भी कछू भाग होइ।

²⁴Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win.

²⁴का तू लोग इ नाहीं जानत अहा कि खेल क मैदान मँ दौड़त सबहिं धावक बाटेन मुला इनाम कउनो एक क मिलत ह। अइसेन दउड़ा कि जीत तोहार होइ सकइ।

²⁵Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

²⁵कउनो खेल प्रतियोगिता मँ हर एक प्रतियोगी क हर तरह क आतिमा संयम करब होत ह। उ एक नासमान कीर्तिमान स सम्मानित होइ क बरे करत हीं मुला हम तउ एक अविनासी मुकुट क पावइ बरे इ करित ह।

²⁶I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air,

²⁶एह तरह मइँ ओह मनई क समान दौड़त हउँ जेकरे सामने एक लच्छ बा। मइँ अहइ मुक्केबाज क तरह मुक्का मारत मारत हउँ मुला मइँ हवा मँ मुक्का नाहीं मारत हउँ।

²⁷but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

²⁷बल्कि मइँ तउ आपन सरीर क कठोर अनुसासन मँ तपाइके, ओका अपने बस मँ करत हउँ। ताकि कहूँ अइसेन न होइ जाइ कि दुसरन क उपदेस देइ क बाद परमेस्सर क जरिये मइँ इ बेकार ठहराइ दीन्ह जाउँ।
