¹Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

¹भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, मइँ चाहित हउँ कि तू जान ल्या हमरे पूर्वजन क का भवा रहा जउन मूसा क व्यवस्था क मानत रहेन। अउर उ सबहिं बादल क छत्र छाया मँ सुरच्छापूर्वक लाल सागर पार कइ ग रहेन।

²and were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

²ओन्हन सब क बादल क नीचे अउर समुद्दर मँ मूसा क अनुयायी क रूप मँ बपतिस्मा दीन्ह गवा रहा।

³and all ate the same spiritual food;

³ओन सभन क समान आत्मिक भोजन खाए रहेन।

⁴and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.

⁴अउर उ सबइ समान आत्मिक पेय पिए रहेन काहेकि उ अपने साथे चलत रही उ आत्मिक चट्टान स ही जल ग्रहण करत रहेन। अउर उ चट्टान रही मसीह।

⁵However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

⁵मुला ओहमें स अधिकांस लोगन स परमेस्सर खुस नाहीं रहा, इही बरे उ पचे मरुभूमि मँ मरि गएन।

⁶Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

⁶इ बातन अइसेन घटिन कि हमरे बरे उदाहरण सिद्ध होइ गइन। ऍहसे हम खराब बातन क कामना न करी जइसेन ओन्हन किहे रहेन।

⁷Neither be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” Exodus 32:6

⁷मूर्ति पूजक न बना, जइसेन कि ओहमाँ स कछू रहेन। पवित्तर सास्तरन कहत ह: “मनई खाइ पिअइ क बरे बइठा अउर परस्पर आनन्द मनावइ क बरे उठा।”

⁸Neither let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.

⁸तउन आवा हम कभउँ व्यभिचार न करी जइसेन ओनमें स कछू किहे रहेन। इही नाते ओहमें स 2,300 मनई एक्कइ दिन मरि गएन।

⁹Neither let us test the Lord, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.

⁹आवा हम मसीह क परिच्छा न लेइ, जइसेन कि ओहमे स कछू जने लिहे रहेनन। परिणाम उ लोग साँप द्वारा मारा गएन।

¹⁰Neither grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.

¹⁰सिकवा सिकायत न करा जइसेन कि ओनमें स कछू करत रहत रहेन अउर इही कारण विनास क सरगदूत क जरिये मार डावा गएन।

¹¹Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.

¹¹इ बात ओनके साथे अइसेन घटी कि उदाहरण बन जाइ। अउर ओन्हे लिख दीन्हा गवा कि हमरे बरे जेह पर युगे क अंत उतरा भवा बा, चेतावनी रहइ।

¹²Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.

¹²एह बरे जउन इ सोचत ह कि उ मजबूती स खड़ा अहइ, ओन्हे सावधान रहइ चाही कि उ गिर न पड़इ।

¹³No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

¹³तू पचे कउनो अइसेन परिच्छा मँ नाहीं पड़ा अहा जउन, मनइयन क बरे सामान्य नाहीं बा। परमेस्सर बिसवासनीय अहइ। उ तोहार सक्ति स ज्यादा तोहे परीच्छा मँ न पड़इ देई। परीच्छा क साथे-साथे ओसे बचइ क रस्ताभी तोहे सबन क देइ ताकि तू परीच्छा क उत्तीर्ण कइ सका।

¹⁴Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

¹⁴हमर पिआरा दोस्तन, अंत मँ मइँ कहत हउँ मूर्ति पूजा स दूर रहा।

¹⁵I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.

¹⁵तोहे समझदार समझिके मइँ अइसेन कहत हउँ। जउन मइँ कहत हउँ, ओका अपने आप परखा।

¹⁶The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Christ?

¹⁶धन्यबाद क उ पियाला जेकरे बरे हम धन्यबाद देत हई, उ का मसीह क लहू (मृत्यु) मँ हमार साझेदारी नाहीं बा? उ रोटी जेका हम तोड़त त हई, का ईसू देह मँ महमार साझेदारी नाहीं बा?

¹⁷Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.

¹⁷रोटी क होब एक अइसा तथ्य अहइ, जेकर अर्थ बा कि हम सब एक्कइ सरीर स अही। काहेकि ओही रोटी मँ ही हम सब का साझेदारी बाटइ।

¹⁸Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

¹⁸ओन्हन इस्राएलियन (यहूदियन) क बारे मँ सोचा, जउन बलि क चीज खात हीं। का ओनकर ओह वेदी मँ साझेदारी नाहीं अहइ?

¹⁹What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?

¹⁹इ बात क मोरे कहइ क प्रयोजन का बा? का मइँ इ कहई चाहित ह कि मूर्तियन पर चढ़ावा गवा भोजन कछू महत्व क बाटइ? या कि मूर्ति कछू भी नाहीं बाटइ।

²⁰But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.

²⁰बल्कि मइँ इ कहत हउँ कि अधर्मी जउन बलि चढ़ावत हीं, उ पचे परमेस्सर क बरे नाहीं बल्कि दुस्ट आतिमन क बरे चढ़ावत हीं। मइँ नाहीं चाहत हउँ कि तू पचे दुस्ट आतिमन क बरे चढ़ावाा। मइँ नाहीं चाहित्त कि तू दुस्ट आतिमन क साझेदार बना।

²¹You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.

²¹तू पर्भू क कटोरा अउर सइतान क कटोरा मँ स एक साथ नाहीं पी सकत्या। तू सबइ पर्भू क भोज क चौकी अउर दुस्ट आतिमन क खाना क चौकी, दुइनउँ मँ एक साथे हींसा नाहीं बटाइ सकत्या।

²²Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

²²का हम पर्भू क चिढ़ावइ चाहित ह? का जेतना सक्तिसाली उ अहइ, हम ओसे जियादा सक्तिसाली हई?

²³“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.

²³जइसेन की कहा गवा बा कि, “हम कछू भी करइ क बरे स्वतन्त्र हई।” पर सब कछू हितकारी तउ नाहीं अहइँ। “हम कछू भी करइ क बरे स्वतन्त्र हई।” मुला हर कउनो बात स बिसवास मजबूत तउ नाहीं होत।

²⁴Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.

²⁴केउ क भी मात्र सुवारथ क ही चिन्ता न करइ चाही बल्कि अउरन क भलाई क बारे मँ सोचइ चाही:

²⁵Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,

²⁵बजार मँ जउन्न कछू बिकाइ, अपने अन्तरमने क अनुसार उ सब कछू खा। ओकरे बारे कउनउ प्रस्न न करा।

²⁶for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.” Psalm 24:1

²⁶काहेकि सास्तर कहत ह, “इ धरती अउर एह पर जउन कछू बा, सब पर्भू क अहइ।”

²⁷But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.

²⁷अगर अबिसवासियन मँ स कउनउ मनई तोहे खाना पर बोलावइ अउर तू उहाँ जाइ चाहत अहा तउ तोहरे सामने जउनउ परोसा गवा बा, आपने अर्न्तमने क अनुसार सब खा। कउनउ प्रस्न न पूछा।

²⁸But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

²⁸मुला अगर केउ तोहे लोगन क इ बतावइ, “इ देवता पर चढ़ावा गवा चढ़ावा अहइ” तउ जे तोहे इ बतावइ, ओकरे कारण अउर अपने अर्न्तमने क कारण ओका न खा।

²⁹Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?

²⁹मइँ जब अर्न्तमन कहत हउँ तउ हमार मतलब तोहरे अर्न्तमने स नाहीं बल्कि ओह दुसरे मनई क अर्न्तमने स बा। एकमात्र इहई कारण अहइ। काहेकि मोर स्वतन्त्रता भला दूसरे मनई क अर्न्तमने क जरिये लीन्ह गए निर्णय स सीमित काहे रहइ?

³⁰If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for that for which I give thanks?

³⁰अगर मइँ धन्यबाद दइके, खाना मँ हिस्सा लेइत ह तउ जेह चीज क बरे मइँ परमेस्सर क धन्यबाद देइत ह, ओकरे बरे मोर आलोचना नाहीं कीन्ह जाइ चाही।

³¹Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

³¹इही बरे चाहे तउ खा, चाहे पिआ, चाहे कछू अउर करा, सब कछू परमेस्सर क महिमा क बरे करा।

³²Give no occasions for stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;

³²यहूदियन क बरे रहा या गैर यहूदियन क बरे जउन परमेस्सर क कलीसिया क अहइँ, ओनके बरे कभउँ बाधा न बना

³³even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.

³³जइसे मइँ खुद सब तरह स हर कउनो क खुस रखइ क जतन करत अहउँ, अउर बिना इ सोचे कि मोर सुवारथ का अहइ, परमार्थ क सोचत हउँ ताकि ओनकर उद्धार होइ।
