¹समूचइ यहूदिया मँ भाइयन अउर प्रेरितन सुनेन कि परमेस्सर क बचन गैर यहूदी भी मान लिहे अहइँ।

²When Peter had come up to Jerusalem, those who were of the circumcision contended with him,

²तउ जब पतरस यरुसलेम पहोंचा तउ उ पचे जउन खतना क चाहत रहेन, ओकर नुक्ताचीनी किहेन।

³saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men, and ate with them!”

³उ सबइ कहेन, “तू खतना क बिना मनइयन क घरे गवा अहा अउर तू ओनकइ संग खइया क खाया ह!”

⁴But Peter began, and explained to them in order, saying,

⁴ऍह पइ पतरस सच जउन भवा रहा, ओका सुनावइ समुझावइ लाग।

⁵“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision: a certain container descending, like it was a great sheet let down from heaven by four corners. It came as far as me.

⁵“मइँ याफा सहर मँ पराथना करत भवा समाधि मँ एक दर्सन कीन्ह। मइँ निहारेउँ कि एक बड़की चद्दर जइसी कउनो चीज खाले उतरत बा, ओका चारिहुँ कोना स धइके अकासे स धरती प उतारा जात अहइ। फिन उ उतरिके मोरे लगे आइ गइ।

⁶When I had looked intently at it, I considered, and saw the four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky.

⁶मइँ ओका धियान स लखेउँ कि ओहमाँ धरती क चौपाया जीव-जतुं, जंगली पसु रेंगइ वाला जीव अउर अकासे क पंछी रहेन।

⁷I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter, kill and eat!’

⁷फिन मइँ एक अवाज सुनेउँ, जउन मोसे कहत रही, ‘पतरस उठा, मारा अउर खाइ ल्या।’

⁸But I said, ‘Not so, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered into my mouth.’

⁸“मुला मइँ कहेउँ, ‘पर्भू, निहचय रूप स तउ नाहीं, काहेकि मइँ कबहुँ भी कउनो तुच्छा या समइ क अनुसार कउनो बे पवित्तर अहार क नाहीं खाएउँ ह।’

⁹But a voice answered me the second time out of heaven, ‘What God has cleansed, don’t you call unclean.’

⁹“अकास स दूसर दाई उ अवाज फिन कहेस, ‘जेका परमेस्सर पवित्तर बनएस ह, ओका तू अपवित्तर जिन समुझा।’

¹⁰This was done three times, and all were drawn up again into heaven.

¹⁰“तीन दाई अइसा ही भवा। फिन उ सब अकास मँ वापिस उठाइ लीन्ह गवा।

¹¹Behold, immediately three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent from Caesarea to me.

¹¹उहइ समइ जहाँ मइँ ठहरा रहेउँ, उ घरे मँ तीन मनई आइ गएन। उ पचे मोरे लगे कैसरिया स पठवा ग रहेन।

¹²The Spirit told me to go with them, without discriminating. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house.

¹²आतिमा मोका ओनकइ संग बेझिझके चला जाइ बरे कहेस। इ छ: भाई भी मोरे संग गएऩ। अउर हम पचे उ मनई क घरे मँ चला गए।

¹³He told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying to him, ‘Send to Joppa, and get Simon, whose surname is Peter,

¹³उ हमका बताएस कि एक सरगदूत क आपन घरे मँ ठाड़ उ कइसे लखेस। जउऩ कहत रहा, ‘याफा पठइके पतरस कहावावइवाला समौन क बोलवाइ ल्या।

¹⁴who will speak to you words by which you will be saved, you and all your house.’

¹⁴उ तोहका बचन सुनाई जेहॅसे तोहार परिवार क उद्धार होइ।’

¹⁵As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning.

¹⁵“जब मइँ प्रबचन सुरु कीन्ह तब पवित्तर आतिमा ओन पइ उतरि आइ। ठीक वइसेन जइसे सुरू मँ हम पइ उतरी रही।

¹⁶I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.’

¹⁶फिन मोका पर्भू क कहा भवा बचन याद होइ गवा, ‘यूहन्ना पानी स बपतिस्मा देत रहा मुला तोहका पवित्तर आतिमा स बपतिस्मा दीन्ह जाइ।’

¹⁷If then God gave to them the same gift as us, when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?”

¹⁷इ तरह जदि परमेस्सर ओनका ही उहइ बरदान दिहेस जेका उ जब हम पचे पर्भू ईसू मसीह मँ बिसवास कीन्ह, तब्बइ हमका दिहे रहा, तउ खिलाफत करइवाला मइँ कउन होत हउँ?”

¹⁸When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life!”

¹⁸बिसवासी मनइयन जब इ सुनेन तउ उ पचे प्रस्न करब बंद कइ दिहेन। उ पचे परमेस्सर क महिमा करत भए कहइ लागेन, “अच्छा, तउ परमेस्सर गैर यहूदी मनइयन तलक क मनफिराववइ बरे उ औसर दिहेस ह, जउन जिन्नगी कइँती लइ जात ह।”

¹⁹They therefore who were scattered abroad by the oppression that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews only.

¹⁹उ पचे जउन स्तिफनुस क समइ मँ दीन्ह जात सबइ यातना क कारण तितराइ बितराइ ग रहेन, दूर-दूर तलक फीनीक, साइप्रस अउर अन्ताकिया तलक चलाग रहेन। इ पचे यहूदियन क तजिके कउनो अउर क सुसामाचार नाहीं सुनावत रहेन।

²⁰But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, A Hellenist is someone who keeps Greek customs and culture. preaching the Lord Jesus.

²⁰एनही बिसवासी मनइयन मँ स कछू साइप्रस क अउर कुरेनी क रहेन। तउ जब उ पचे अन्ताकिया आएन तउ यूनानियन क भी प्रबचन देत भए पर्भू ईसू क सुसमाचार सुनावइ लागेन।

²¹The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

²¹पर्भू क सक्ती ओनकइ संग रही। तउ एक बड़ा मनइयन क मजमा बिसवास धइके पर्भू कइँती मुड़ि गवा।

²²The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem. They sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch,

²²ऍकर खबर जब यरुसलेम मँ कलीसिया क काने तलक पहुँची तउ उ पचे बरनाबास क अन्ताकिया जाइके पठएऩ।

²³who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.

²³जब बरनाबास हुँवा पहोंचिके परमेस्सर क अनुग्रह क सकारथ होत लखेस तउ उ बहोत खुस भवा अउर उ ओन सबहिं क पर्भू बरे भक्ति भरा हिरदय स बिसवासी बनइ बरे हिम्मत देवॉएस।

²⁴For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and many people were added to the Lord.

²⁴काहेकि उ पवित्तर आतिमा अउर बिसवास स भरा भवा एक भरपूर उत्तिम मनई रहा। फिन पर्भू क संग एक बड़वार मनइयन क मजमा जुड़ गवा।

²⁵Barnabas went out to Tarsus to look for Saul.

²⁵बरनाबास साऊल क हेरइ तरसुस क चला गवा।

²⁶When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. It happened, that for a whole year they were gathered together with the assembly, and taught many people. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

²⁶फिन उ ओका हेरिके अन्ताकिया लइ आवा। पूरे साल भइ उ पचे कलीसिया स मिलत जुलत अउर बड़का मनइयन क मजमा क उपदेस देत रहेन। अन्ताकिया मँ सबन त पहिले ऍनही चेलन क “मसीही” कहा गवा।

²⁷Now in these days, prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

²⁷इहइ समइ यरुसलेम स कछू नबी अन्ताकिया आएऩ।

²⁸One of them named Agabus stood up, and indicated by the Spirit that there should be a great famine all over the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius.

²⁸ओनमाँ स अगबुस नाउँ क एक नबी खड़ा होइके पवित्तर आतिमा क जरिये इ भविस्सबाणी किहेस कि सारी दुनिया मँ एक खउफनाक अकाल पड़ी (क्लौदियुस क समइ इ अकाल पड़ा रहा।)

²⁹As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;

²⁹तब हर चेलन आपन ताकत देखिके यहूदिया क बसइयन बंधु क मदद बरे कछू पठवइ क ठान लिहेन।

³⁰which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

³⁰तउ उ पचे अइसा ही किहेन अउर उ पचे बरनावास अउर साऊल क हाथ स यहूदिया मँ आपन बुजुर्गन क लगे उपहार पठएन।
