¹Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”

¹फिन कछू लोग यहूदिया स आएन अउर भाई लोगन क सिच्छा देइ लागेन, “जदि मूसा क व्यवस्था क मुताबिक तोहार खतना नाहीं भवा अहइ तउ तोहार उद्धार नाहीं होइ सकत।”

²Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

²पौलुस अउर बरनाबास क बिचार मेल नाहीं खात रहा, तउ ओनमाँ एक बड़ा मत भेद पइदा होइ गवा। यह बरे पौलुस अउर बरनाबास अउर ओनके कछू अउर संगी इ समस्या क हल निकारइ बरे प्रेरितन अउर मुखियन क लगे यरुसलेम पठवइ क ठान लिहेन।

³They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”

³उ पचे कलीसियन क जरिए पठवा गाएऩ अउर फीनीके अउर सामरिया होत भए अधर्मियन क हिरदय बदलत भए भाई बहिनियन क समाचार सुनाइके खुस करत रहेन।

⁴When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all things that God had done with them.

⁴फिन जब उ पचे यरुसलेम पहोंचेन तउ कलिसिया, प्रेरितन अउर बुजुर्ग लोगन अगवानी किहेन। अउर उ पचे ओनके संग परमेस्सर जउन किहे रहा, उ सब कछू ओनका कहिके सुनाएन।

⁵But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

⁵ऍह पइ फरीसियन क दल क कछू बिसवासि खड़ा भएऩ अउर बोलेन, “ओनकइ खतना जरुर कीन्ह जाइ चाही अउर ओनका हुकुम देइ चाही कि उ पचे मूसा क व्यवस्था क पालन करइँ।”

⁶The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.

⁶तउ इ सवाल प बिचार करइ बरे प्रेरितन अउर बुजुर्गन आपुस मँ बटुर गएऩ।

⁷When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News, and believe.

⁷एक लम्बी चौड़ी तहत्तुक पाछे पतरस खड़ा भवा अउर ओनसे बोला, “भाइयो, तू पचे जानत ह कि बहोत दिना पहिले तोहमाँ स परमेस्सर एक चुनाव किहे रहा कि मोरे हीला स गैर यहूदियन लोग सुसमाचार क संदेसा सुनइहीं अउर बिसवास करिहीं।

⁸God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.

⁸अउर अन्तर्यामी परमेस्सर हमरे ही तरह ओनका भी पवित्तर आतिमा क बरदान दइके, ओकरे बारे मँ आपन समर्थन देखाए रहा।

⁹He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

⁹बिसवास क जरिए ओनकइ हिरदय क पवित्तर कइके हमरे अउर ओनके बेच उ कउनो भेद-भाव नाहीं किहेस।

¹⁰Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

¹⁰तउ अब चेलन क गटइया प एक अइसा जुआ लादिके जेका न हम उठाइ सकित अही अउर न हमार पूर्वज तू पचे परमेस्सर क गुस्सा करावइ चाहत ह?

¹¹But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, TR adds “Christ” just as they are.”

¹¹मुला हमार तउ इ बिसवास अहइ कि पर्भू ईसू क अनुग्रह स जइसे हमार उद्धार भवा ह, वइसे ही हमका भरोसा अहइ कि ओनकइ भी बचाव जाई!”

¹²All the multitude kept silence, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.

¹²ऍह पइ समूचा दल सन्न मारि गवा अउर बरनाबास अउर पौलुस क बोलब सुनई लागेन। उ पचे, गैर यहूदियन क बीच परमेस्सर ओनकइ हीला स दुइ अद्भुत कारजन परगट किहे रहा, अउर अचरज कारजन किहे रहा, ओकरे बाबत बतावत रहेन।

¹³After they were silent, James answered, “Brothers, listen to me.

¹³उ पचे जब बोल चुकेन तउ याकूब कहइ लाग, “भाइयो, मोरउ सुना।

¹⁴Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations, to take out of them a people for his name.

¹⁴समौन बताए रहा कि परमेस्सर गैर यहूदियन मँ स कछू लोगन्क आपन नाउँ बरे चुनिके सबन ते पहिले कइसे पिरेम परगट किहे रहा।

¹⁵This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written,

¹⁵नबी लोगन्क बचन भी इ बात क समर्थन करत हीं। जइसा कि लिखा बाटइ:

¹⁶‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up,

¹⁶अउर जाबइ मइँ एकरे पाछे, फिन स दाऊद क उ घरे क खड़ा करब जउन गिर चुका ह। फिन स ओकर खण्डहर क सँवारब, फिन स पुराने क उद्धार करब।

¹⁷That the rest of men may seek after the Lord; All the Gentiles who are called by my name, Says the Lord, who does all these things. Amos 9:11-12

¹⁷काहेकि जउन बचा अहइँ उ सबइ गैर यहूदी सबहिं जउन अब मोर कहवावत हीं, पर्भू क हेरइँ। आमोस 9:11-12

¹⁸उहइ पर्भू इ बात क कहत ह, जउन जुग-जुग स इ बातन क परगट करत रहा।’

¹⁹“Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,

¹⁹“इ तरह मोर इ निर्णय अहइ कि हमका ओन मनइय़न क, जउन गैर यहूदी होत भए परमेस्सर कइँती घूमा अहइँ, सतावइ नाहीं चाही।

²⁰but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.

²⁰मुला हमका तउ ओऩके लगे लिखिके पठवइ चाहीं। हमका ओनका इ बातन क बतावइ चाही: मूरत क चढ़ावा भवा खइया क जिन खा (ऍहसे खइया क अपवित्तर होत ह।) कउनो तरह क व्यभिचार जिन करा लहू क कबहुँ जिन चखा। गटइ घोटिके मारा गवा गोरू क मांस जिन खा।

²¹For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

²¹ओऩ पचन्क क इ बात न करइ चाही, काहेकि हर सहर मँ मनइयन (यहूदी) बाटेन जउन मूसा क व्यवस्था सिखावत हीं। हर सबित क दिन मूसा क व्यवस्था क तरीका स पाठ आराधनालय मँ बरिसन स होत आवत ह।”

²²Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers. The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.”

²²फिन प्रेरितन अउर बुजुर्गन समूचइ कलीसिया क संग इ निहचय किहेन कि ओनमाँ स कछू लोगन क चुनिके पौलुस अउर बरनाबास क संग अन्ताकिया पठवा जाइ। तउ उ पचे बरसब्बा कहा जाइवाला यहूदा अउर सीलास क चुन लिहेन। उ सबइ भाइयन मँ यरूसलेम मँ मान्य रहेन।

²³They wrote these things by their hand: “The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.

²³उ पचे ओनकइ हाथे स इ चिट्ठी पठएन: तोहरे बंधु, बुजुर्ग अउर प्रेरितन कइँती स अन्ताकिया, सीरिया अउर किलिकिया क गैर यहूदी भाइयन क नमस्ते पहुँचइ मोरे भाइयन,

²⁴Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

²⁴हम पचे जब त इ सुना ह कि हम स कउनो आदेस पाए बिना ही, हम पचन मँ स कछू मनइयन जाइके आपन सब्दन स तोहार जिअर दुखी किहेन हे, अउर तोहरे मन क नाहीं थिरइ दिहेन।

²⁵it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

²⁵हम पचे आपुस मँ एक मत होइके इ निहचय कीन्ह ह हम सबइ आपन मँ स कछू मनई चुनी अउर आपन पिआरा बरनाबास अउर पौलुस क संग ओनका तोहरे लगे पठई।

²⁶men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁶इ सबइ उ पचे ही लोग अहइँ जउऩ हमरे पर्भू ईसू मसीह क नाउँ बरे आपन प्राण क बाजी लगाइ दिहे रहे।

²⁷We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves will also tell you the same things by word of mouth.

²⁷हम पचे यहूदा अउर सीलास क पठावत अही। उ सबइ तोहका आपन मुँह स इ सब बातन क बतइहीं।

²⁸For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:

²⁸पवित्तर आतिमा क अउर हमका इ नीक जान पड़ा कि तू सबन प इ जरूरी बात क अलावा क अउर कउनो बात क बोझा न डावा जाइ:

²⁹that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell.”

²⁹मूरतिन प चढ़ावा गवा भोजन तोहका नाहीं ग्रहण करइ चाही। खून, गटइ घोटिके बधा गवा पसु अउर व्यभिचार स बचा रहा। जदि तू आपन आप क इ बातन स बचाए रखब्या तउ तोहार कल्याण होइ। अच्छा बिदा।

³⁰So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch. Having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.

³⁰इ तरह ओनका बिदा कइ दीन्ह गवा अउर उ सबइ अन्ताकिया पहोंचेन। हुवाँ उ पचे बिसवासियन क धरम सभा क बोलाएन अउर ओऩका उ चिट्ठी दइ दिहेन।

³¹When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.

³¹चिट्ठी बाँचिके जउन उछाह ओनका मिला ओह पइ उ पचे आनंद मनाएन।

³²Judas and Silas, also being prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers with many words, and strengthened them.

³²यहूदा अउर सीलास, जउन खुद ही दुइनउँ नबी रहेन, आइयन क समन्वा ओनकइ हिम्मत बँधावत भए अउर मजबूती देत भए, एक लम्बा प्रबचन दिहेन।

³³After they had spent some time there, they were sent back with greetings from the brothers to the apostles.

³³हुवाँ कछू समइ बिताए क पाछे, भाई लोग ओनका सांति क साथ ओनही क लगे लौटि जाइ बरे बिदा किहेन जउन ओनका पठए रहेन।

³⁴ Some manuscripts add: But it seemed good to Silas to stay there.

³⁴[This verse may not be a part of this translation]

³⁵But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

³⁵पौलुस अउर बरनाबास अन्ताकिया मँ कछू समइ बिताएन। बहोत स दूसर मनइयन क संग उ पचे पर्भू क बचन क उपदेस देत भए मनइयन मँ सुसमाचार क प्रचार किहेन।

³⁶After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

³⁶कछू दिनन क बाद बरनाबास स पौलुस कहेस, “आवा, जउन जउन नगरन मँ हम पचे पर्भू क बचन क प्रचार कीन्ह ह, हुवाँ आपन भाई लोगन क लगे बापिस लौटिके इ लखी कि उ पचे का कछू करत बाटेन।”

³⁷Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.

³⁷बरनाबास चाहत रहा कि मरकुस कहवावइवाला यूहन्ना क भी उ पचे संग लइ चलइँ।

³⁸But Paul didn’t think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and didn’t go with them to do the work.

³⁸मुला पौलुस इहइ ठीक समझेस कि उ पचे ओका आपन संग न लेइँ जउऩ पंफूलिया मँ ओनकइ संग छोड़ दिहे रहा अउर (पर्भू क) काम मँ जउऩ ओनकइ साथ नाहीं दिहेस।

³⁹Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away to Cyprus,

³⁹ऍह पइ उ दुइनउँ मँ घोर खिलाफत जन्मी। नतीजा इ भवा कि उ पचे आपुस मँ एक दूसर स अलगाइ गएन। बरनाबास मरकुस क लइके पानी क जहाजे स साइप्रस गवा।

⁴⁰but Paul chose Silas, and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of God.

⁴⁰पौलुस सीलास क चुनिके हुवाँ स चला गवा अउर भाइयन ओका पर्भू क छत्रछाया मँ सौंपेन।

⁴¹He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the assemblies.

⁴¹तउ पौलुस सीरिया अउर किलिकिया क जात्रा करत भवा हुवाँ क कलीसियन क मजबूत करत रहा।
