¹James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Dispersion: Greetings.

¹याकूब क जउन परमेस्सर अउर पर्भू ईसू मसीह क दास अहइ, संतन क बारह कुलन क नमस्कार पहुँचइ जइन समूचे संसार मँ फइला भवा अहइँ।

²Count it all joy, my brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , when you fall into various temptations,

²मोर भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, जब कबहुँ तू तरह तरह क परीच्छा मँ पड़ा तउ एका बड़ा आनन्द क बात समझा।

³knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

³काहेकि तू इ जानत अहा कि तोहार बिसवास जब परीच्छा मँ सफल होत ह तउ ओसे धीरजपूर्ण सहन सक्ती पैदा होत ह।

⁴Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

⁴अउर उ धीरजपूर्ण सहन सक्ती एक अइसेन पूर्णता क जनम देत ह जेहसे तू अइसेन सिद्ध अउर पूर्ण बन सकत ह जेहमाँ कउनउ कबहुँ नाहीं रहि जात।

⁵But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.

⁵तउन अगर तोहमाँ कछू विवेक क कमी अहइ तउ ओका परमेस्सर स मांग सकत ह। उ सबहिं क उदारता क साथे देत ह। उ सबहिं क उदार होइ क देइ मँ खुस होत ह।

⁶But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

⁶बस बिसवास क साथे माँगा जाइ। तनिकउ भी संदेह न होइ चाही काहेकि जेका संदेह होत ह, उ सागर क ओह लहर क समान बा जउन हवा स उठत ह अउर थरथरात ह।

⁷For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord.

⁸He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

⁹But let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position;

⁹साधारण परिस्थितियन वाला भाइयन क गरब करइ चाही कि परमेस्सर तउ ओका आतिमा क धन दिहे अहइ।

¹⁰and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.

¹⁰अउर धनी भाइ क गरब करइ चाही कि परमेस्सर ओका आत्मिक गरीबी देखाए अहइ। काहेकि ओका त घास खिलइवाला फूल क नाई झर जाइ क बा।

¹¹For the sun arises with the scorching wind, and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in his pursuits.

¹¹सूरज कड़कड़ात धूप लइके उगत ह अउर पउधा क झुराइ डावत ह। ओनकर फूल पत्तियन झर जात हीं अउर सुन्दरता समाप्त होइ जात ह। इही तरह धनी मनई धन बरे योजना बनाने मँ ही समाप्त होइ जात ह।

¹²Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

¹²उ मनई धन्य अहइ जउन परीच्छ मँ अटल रहत ह काहेकि परिच्छा मँ खरा उतरइ क बाद उ जीवन क ओह बिजय मुकुट क धारण करी जेका परमेस्सर अपने पिरेम करइवालन क देइ क बचन दिहे अहइ।

¹³Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.

¹³परीच्छा क घड़ी मँ कीहीउ क इ नाहीं कहइ चाही, “परमेस्सर मोर परीच्छा लेत अहइ,” काहेकि खराब बातन स परमेस्सर क कउनउ लेब-देब नाहीं होत। उ कउनो क परीच्छा नाहीं लेत।

¹⁴But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed.

¹⁴हर कउनो आपन ही खराब इच्छन स भ्रम मँ फंसिके परीच्छा मँ पड़त ह।

¹⁵Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.

¹⁵फिन जब उ इच्छा गर्भवती होत ह तउ पाप पूरा बढ़ जात ह अउर उ मउत क जनम देत ह।

¹⁶Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers.

¹⁶तऊन मोर पिआर भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, धोखा न खा।

¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

¹⁷हर एक उत्तिम दान अउर परिपूर्ण उपहार उप्पर स मिलत ह। अउर उ सबइ ओह परमपिता क जरिये जे सरगीय प्रकास (सूरज चाँद अउर तारन) क जनम दिहे अहइ, नीचे लइ आवत ह। उ जउन सभन प्रकासन का पिता अहइ। जो न कभउ बदलत ह अउर न छाया स प्रभावित होत ह।

¹⁸Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

¹⁸परमेस्सर अपने इच्छा स सत्य क बचन दुआरा हमे जनम दिहेस जेहसे हम ओकरे द्वारा रचे गएन प्रानियन मँ सबसे महत्वपूर्ण सिद्ध होइ सकी।

¹⁹So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;

¹⁹मोर पिआरे भाइयो तथा बाहिनियो, खियाल रखा, हर कीहीउ क पत्परता क साथे सुनइ चाही, बोलइ मँ जल्दी न करा, अउर जल्दी सा किरोध न करा कर।

²⁰for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.

²⁰काहेकि मनई जब किरोध करत ह तब उ परमेस्सर क द्वारा बनाए भए रस्ता का पालन नाहीं कइ पावत।

²¹Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls or, preserve your life. .

²¹सब घिनौना आचरण अउर चारहुँ ओर फइलत दुस्टताई स दूर रहा। अउर नरमी क साथे तोहरे हिरदइ मँ रोपा भवा परमेस्सर क बचन क पालन करा जउन तोहार आतिमन क उद्धार देवाई सकत ह।

²²But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.

²²परमेस्सर क उपदेस पे चलइ वाला बना, न कि केवल ओका सुनइवाला। अगर तू केवल ओका सुनबइ भर रहत ह तउ अपने आप क छलत अहा।

²³For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror;

²³काहेकि अगर केउॅ परमेस्सर क उपदेस क सुनत तउ बाटइ मुला ओह प चलत नाहीं, तउ उ ओह मनई क समान बाटइ जउन अपने भौतिक मुँहे क दरपन मँ देखतेइ भर बाटइ।

²⁴for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

²⁴उ खुद क अच्छी तरह देखतइ बा, पर जब उहाँ स चला जात ह तउ तुरन्त भूल जात ह कि उ कइसेन देखॉत रहा।

²⁵But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

²⁵किन्तु जो परमेस्सर क उहइ सम्पूर्ण व्यवस्था क नजदीक स देखत ह, जेससे स्वतन्त्रता प्राप्त होत ह, अउर उही प आचरण भी करत ह अउर सुनिके ओहका भूले बिना आपन आचरण मँ उतार लेत ह, उही अपने करमन क बरे धन्य होइ।

²⁶If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

²⁶अगर केऊ सोचत ह कि उ भक्त अहइ अउर अपने जीभ प कसिके लगाम नाहीं लगावत त उ धोखा मँ बा। ओकर भक्ति बेकार बा।

²⁷Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

²⁷परमेस्सर क सामने सच्चे अउर सुद्ध आराधना ऊहई अहइ: जेहमाँ अनाथ अउर विधवन क ओनके दुख दर्द मँ सुधि लीन्हि जाइ अउर खुद क कउनउ सांसारीक कलंक न लागइ दीन्ह जाइ।
