¹Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you.

¹धनवान लोगो सुना! जउन विपत्तियन तोह प आवइवाली बाटिन, ओकरे बरे रोवा अउर ऊँचा स्वरे मँ बिलाप करा।

²Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten.

²तोहर धन सड़ा चुका बा। तोहार पोसाकन कीड़न द्वारा खाइ लीन्ह गइ बा।

³Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you, and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days.

³तोहार सोना, चाँदी जंग लग जाइसे रंग बिगड़ गवा बा। ओह पे लगी जंग तोहरे विरोध मँ साच्छी देई अउर तोहरे सरीर को आगी की तरह चाट जाई। तू अन्तिम दिनन ब्बरे आपन खजाना बचाइके रक्खो अहा।

⁴Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies Greek: Sabaoth (for Hebrew: Tze’va’ot) .

⁴सोचा, तोहरे खेतन मँ जउन मजूदरन काम किहेन, तू ओनकर मेहनताना नाहीं दिए अहा ओका रोकि रखे अहा। उहई मेहनताना चीख पुकार करत बाटइ। अउर खेतन मँ काम करइवालन क उ चीख पुकारइ सर्वसक्तिमान पर्भू क कानन तलक जाइ पहुँची बा।

⁵You have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

⁵धरती पे तू बिलासपूर्ण व्यर्थ जीवन जिए अहा अउर अपने आपके भोग बिलासन मँ हुबोए रखे अहा। एह तरह तू अपने आपके बध कीन्ह जाइके दिनके बरे पाल पोसी क हिस्ट-पुस्ट कइ लिहे अहा।

⁶You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

⁶तू भोले लोगन क दोसी ठहराइके ओनके कीहीउ प्रतिरोध क अभाव मँ ही ओनकर हतिया कइ डाया ह।

⁷Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.

⁷तउन भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, पर्भू क फिन स आवइ तलक धीरज धरा। उ किसान क धियान धरा जउन आपन धरती क मूल्यवान उपज क बरे बाट जोहत रहत ह। एकरे बरे उ सुरु क बरखा स लइके बाद क बरखा तलक हमेसा। धीरज क साथे बाट जोहत रहत ह।

⁸You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

⁸तोहे भी धीरज क साथे बाट जोहइ चाही। अपने हिरदइ क मजबूत बनाए रखा काहेकि पर्भू क द्वारा आउब लगे ही बा।

⁹Don’t grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won’t be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.

¹⁰Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of patience, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

¹⁰भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, ओन नबियन क याद रखा जे पर्भू क बरे बोलेन ह। उ हमरे बरे जातना झेलइ अउर धीरज स भरी समहनसीलता क उदाहरण हयेन।

¹¹Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

¹¹धियान रखा, हम ओनकर सहनसीलता क कारण ओनका धन्य मानित अही। तू अय्यूब क धीरज क बारे मँ सुने ही अहा। अउर पर्भू तउ ओका ओकर आखिर मँ कउन परिणाम प्रदान किहेस, काहेकि तू भी जनतइ अहा कि पर्भू केतॅना दयालु अउर करुनापूर्ण अहइ।

¹²But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes,” and your “no,” “no”; so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy. TR reads “under judgment” instead of “into hypocrisy”

¹²मोर भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, सबसे बड़ी बात इ बा कि सरग क अउर धरती क या कीहीउ तरह क कसम खाइ छोड़ि द्या। तोहार “हाँ, हाँ होइ चाही, अउर “ना”, ना होइ चाही। ताकि तोहका दोसी न ठहरावा जाइ सकइ।

¹³Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.

¹³अगर तोहमाँ स कउनो विपत्ति मँ पड़ा बा तउ ओका पराथना करइ चाही अउर अगर केउ खुस बा तउ ओका स्तुति-गीत गावइ चाही।

¹⁴Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,

¹⁴अगर तोहरे बीच कउनो रोगी बा तउ ओका कलीसिया क निरीच्छकन क बोलावइ चाही कि उ ओकरे बरे पराथना करइ अउर ओह प पर्भू क नाउँ मँ तेल मलइ।

¹⁵and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

¹⁵बिसवास क साथे कीन्ह गइ पराथना स रोगी निरोगी होत ह। अउर पर्भू ओका उठाइके खड़ा कइ देत ह। अगर उ पाप किहे अहइ त पर्भू ओका छमा कइ देइ।

¹⁶Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

¹⁶इही बरे अपने पापन क परस्पर स्वीकार अउर एक दुसरे क बरे पराथना करा ताकि तू भला चंगा होइ जा। अच्छा मनई क पराथना सक्तिसाली अउर प्रभावपूर्ण होत ह।

¹⁷Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.

¹⁷एलिय्याह एक मनई ही रहा ठीक हमरे जइसा। उ तेजी क साथे पराथना किहेस कि बरखा न होइ अउर साढ़े तीन साल छह महीना तलक धरती प बरखा नाहीं भइ।

¹⁸He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.

¹⁸उ फिन पराथना किहेस अउर अकास मँ बरखा उमड़ि पड़ी अउर धरती आपन फसल उपजाएस।

¹⁹Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,

¹⁹मोर भाइयो तथा बहिनियो, तोहमाँ स कउनो अगर सत्य स भटकि जाइ अउर ओका कउनउ फिन लउटाइ लइ आवइ तउ ओका इ पता होइ चाही कि

²⁰let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins.

²⁰0जउन कीहीउ पापी क पाप क रस्ता स लउटाइ लियावत ह उ ओह पापी क आतिमा क अनन्त मउत स बचावत ह अउर ओकरे कइयउ पापन क छमा कीन्ह जाइ क कारण बनत ह।
