¹He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.

¹फिन ईसू क जगह छोड़ि दिहस अउर यहूदिया क पहँटा अउर यरदन नदी क पार गवा। फिन भीर प भीर ओकरे नगिचे आवइ लाग। जउसे ओकर रीति रही, ईसू ओनका उपदेस देइ लाग।

²Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

²अउर कछू फरीसियन ओकरे लगे आएन अउर उ सबइ ओसे पूछेन, “का इ कनून पुरुस क लिये नीक बाटइ कि उ आपन पत्नी क तलाक देइ दे?” उ सबइ ओसे ओका जाँचइ बरे पूछेन।

³He answered, “What did Moses command you?”

³ईसू ओनका जबाव दिहेस, “मूसा तोहका का आदेस दिए बाटेन?”

⁴They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”

⁴उ सबइ कहेन, “मूसा पुरुस क एक ठु तलाक क त्याग पत्र लिखिवाइ आपन पत्नी क तलाक बरे हुकुम देहेस।”

⁵But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

⁵ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “मूसा इ आदेस एह बरे लिखेस कि तू सबइ नासमुझ अहा।

⁶ But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. Genesis 1:27

⁶सृस्टि क सुरुआत स, ‘परमेस्सर पुरुस अउर स्त्री बनाएस।’

⁷ For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,

⁷“एह बरे पुरुस आपन महतारी बाप क छोड़ि देइ अउर आपन पत्नी क संग रही।’

⁸ and the two will become one flesh, Genesis 2:24 so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

⁸दुइनउँ एक तन होइ जइहीं। तइसे उ दुइनउँ अलग नाहीं, मुला एक ठु अहइँ।

⁹ What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

⁹एह बरे जेकर परमेस्सर जोरि दिहे अहइँ, ओहका मनई क अलग नाहीं करइ चाही।”

¹⁰In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.

¹⁰जब उ सबइ गरवा मँ फिन स आएन, तउ चेलन ऍकरे बारे मँ ओसे पूछेन।

¹¹He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her.

¹¹अउर ईसू ओनसे पूछेस, “जउन आपन पत्नी क तलाक दइ देत ह, अउर दूसर स्त्री स बियाह करत ह, उ ओकरे खिलाफ व्यभिचार करत ह।

¹² If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.”

¹²अगर स्त्री आपन पति क तजि देत ह अउर दूसर पुरुस स बियाह करत ह, तो उ व्यभिचारी ह।”

¹³They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.

¹³फिन मनइयन गदेलन क ओकरे लगे लइ आवइ लागेन, इ नाते कि उ ओनका छुइ लेइ अउर आसीर्बाद देइ मुला चेलन ओनका फटकारि दिहन।

¹⁴But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

¹⁴जब ईसू इ देखेस, उ कोहाय ग अउर उ ओनसे कहेस, “गदेलन क मोरे निअरे आवइ द्या। ओनका जिन रोका, इ नाते परमेस्सर क राज्य अइसन स नाता जोरत ह।

¹⁵ Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

¹⁵मइँ तोहका सच सच बतावत हउँ, जउन परमेस्सर क राज्य क गदेलन क नाईं सुआगत न करी, उ राज्य मँ कबहुँ न घुसी।”

¹⁶He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

¹⁶ईसू आपन कोरा मँ गदेलन क उठाएस। उ आपन हथवा ओनके ऊपर धरेस अउर आसीर्बाद दिहेस।

¹⁷As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

¹⁷जइसे उ जात्रा प जाइ क रहा, एक मनई ओकरे लगे आइ अउर घुटुनवा टेकिके बोला अउ ओसे पूछेस, “उत्तम गुरु! अनन्त जीवन पावइ क हक बरे ओका का करइ क चाही?”

¹⁸Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.

¹⁸ईसू ओसे कहेस, “तू मोका उत्तम काहे कहत ह सिरिफ परमेस्सर क छोड़िके कउनो उत्तम नाहीं।

¹⁹ You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’” Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20

¹⁹तू आदेस क जानत ह। ‘जीउ जिन मारा, व्यभिचार जिन करा, चोरी जिन करा, झूठी गवाही जिन द्या, ठगी जिन करा, आपन महतारी बाप क इज्जत करा।”

²⁰He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”

²⁰उ मनई ओसे कहेस, “गुरु मइँ आपन लरिकइँ स इन सब बातन पर चलत आवत हउँ।”

²¹Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

²¹ईसू ओका निहारेस। ओकरे बरे पिरेम भाउ रखेस अउर ओसे कहेस, “तोहमाँ ऍक बात क कमी अहइ जा अउर बेंचि आवा जउन तू धरे अहा। तब एक गरीबे क द्या। ओकरे बाद तू सरगे मँ खजाना रखब्या। तब्बई तू आवा अउर मोरे पाछे चला।”

²²But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.

²²अइसे बयान पर ओकर मुँह उतर गवा अउर निरास होइ के चला गवा। इ नाते कि उ धनवान रहा।

²³Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!”

²³ईसू चारिहुँ कइँती देखेस अउर आपन चेलन स कहेस, “केतना मुस्किल बाटइ ओनके बरे जउन धनी होइके परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुसइ चाहत अहइँ।”

²⁴The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!

²⁴चेलन इ बचनन प अचरजि मँ परि गएन। तउ फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “मोर गदेलन! परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुसब केतना मुस्किल अहइ।

²⁵ It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”

²⁵ऊँट क सुई क नोंके स घुसरब असान अहइ, बजाय एक धनी मनई क परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ जाब!”

²⁶They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”

²⁶ओनका अउ जिआदा अचरज भवा, अउर आपुस मँ एक दुसरे स बतियाइ लागेन, “तब कउने क उद्धार होई?”

²⁷Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

²⁷ओनका लखत, ईसू कहेस, “मनई अइसा कबहुँ नाहीं कइ सकत, मुला इ परमेस्सर बरे अइसा नाहीं।”

²⁸Peter began to tell him, “Behold, we have left all, and have followed you.”

²⁸पतरस ओसे कहइ लाग, “देखा, हम सब कछू तजि दिहन अउर तोहरे पाछे होइ गएन!”

²⁹Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,

²⁹ईसू कहेस, ‘मइँ तोसे सच सच कहत हउँ, कउनो अइसा नाहीं जउन मोरे बरे अउर सुसमाचार बरे घर-दुआर, भाइयन, बहिनियन, महतारी, बाप, गदेलन, खेत अउर क तजि देइ,

³⁰ but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

³⁰जउन इ जुगे मँ घरन भाइयन, बहिनियन, महतारीयन, गदेलन अउर खेतन क संग सताव सउ गुना जिआदा न पाइ, अउर आवइवाला जुग मँ अनन्त जीवन।

³¹ But many who are first will be last; and the last first.”

³¹मुला बहोत जने जउन आज सबते पाछे अहइँ, उ सबते पहिले होइहीं। जउन सबते पहिले अहइँ, उ सबइ पाछे होइहीं।”

³²They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.

³²फिन उ सबइ यरूसलेम जात जात रस्ता मँ रहेन, ओनमें ईसू सबते आगे चलत जात रहा। उ सबइ खुबइ अचिरजे मँ डेरानेन। जउन पाछे रहेन, उ पचे ससान रहेन। ईसू बारहु प्रेरितन क एक कइँती लइ गवा अउर ओनका बतावइ लाग कि ओकरे संग का घटइवाला अहइ।

³³ “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.

³³“सुन, हम पचे यरूसलेम जात अही, अउर मनई क पूत क दुराव स मुख्ययाजकन अउर धरम सास्तिरियन पकड़वाइ के दइ देइहीं। अउर उ सबइ ओका मउत क सजा देइके गैर यहूदी क दइ देइहीं।

³⁴ They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”

³⁴जउन ओकर हँसी करिहीं अउर उ पचे ओह पइ थुकिहीं। उ सबइ ओका कोड़ा स पिटहीं अउर मारि डइहीं। तीन दिना क पाछे उ जी जाई।”

³⁵James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”

³⁵फिन जब्दी क बेटवन याकूब अउर यूहन्ना ओका लगे आएन अउर ओसे कहेन, “गुरु, हम चाहित ही कि हम जउन तोसे करइ क कही, ओका तू हमरे बरे कइ द्या।”

³⁶He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

³⁶ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू मोसे आपन बरे का करवावइ क चाहत ह”

³⁷They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand, and one at your left hand, in your glory.”

³⁷उ सबइ ओसे कहेन, “तू आपन महिमा मँ हम पचेन क बइठइ क अधिकार द्या। हम पचेन मँ एक ठु तोहरे दाएँ अउर एक ठु तोहरे बाएँ बइठइ।”

³⁸But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

³⁸ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “तू जानत ह नाहीं कि तू सबइ का कहत ह। जउन लुटिया मइँ पिअइ जात हउँ, का तू पी सकत ह का जउन बपतिस्मा मइँ लेवइ क हउँ, का तू पचे उ बपतिस्मा क लइ सकत ह”

³⁹They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;

³⁹उ पचे ओसे कहेन, “हम वइसा करि सकित ह।” फिन ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “का तू सबइ लुटिया भरि के पीब्या जउन मइँ करि सकत हउँ। जउन बपतिस्मा मइँ लेइ का हउँ, का तू सबइ लइ सकत ह।

⁴⁰ but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”

⁴⁰मुला मोरे दाँए अउर बाँए बइठइ का जगहिया देब मोर अधिकार नाहीं अहइ। इ जगहियन ओनही मनइयन क बरे अहइँ, जेनके बरे उ सबइ तइयार कीन्ह ग अहइँ?”

⁴¹When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant towards James and John.

⁴¹जब बाकि दसहु ऍकरे बारे मँ सुनेन तउ उ पचे याकूब अउर यूहन्ना प गुस्सा करेन।

⁴²Jesus summoned them, and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

⁴²फिन ईसू आपन लगे ओनका बोलाएस अउर ओनसे कहेस, “तू जानत ह कि जउन गैर यहूदियन प राज करत हीं, उ हुकुम ओन पइ चलावत हीं अउर ओनका अउर ओनके मुख्य नेतन क ओन प प्रभाव बाटइ।

⁴³ But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

⁴³मुला तोहरे संग अइसा नाहीं बाटइ। तू सबन मँ जउन बड़वार होइ चाहत ह, उ तोहार नउकर बनइ।

⁴⁴ Whoever of you wants to become first among you, shall be bondservant of all.

⁴⁴अउर तू पचन मँ जउन मुखिया बना चाहइ उ तोहार गुलाम बनइ।

⁴⁵ For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

⁴⁵मनइँ क पूत हु सेवा करावइ नाहीं आइ अहइ मुला उ सेवा करइ आइ अहइ अउर आपन जीउ क बहोतन क छुटकारा बरे आइ अहइ।”

⁴⁶They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

⁴⁶फिन उ सबइ यरीहो आएन अउर जब ईसू एक भारी भीर क संग आपन चेलन क लइके यरीहो जात रहा तउ तिमाई क बेटवा बरतिमाई नाउँ क एक ठो आँधर भिखमंगा सरक क किनारे बइठा रहा।

⁴⁷When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁷जब उ सुनेस कि नासरत क ईसू अहइ, उ चिचिआइ क कहइ लाग, “ईसू, दाऊद क पूत! मो पर दाया कर!”

⁴⁸Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁸पर अउर बहोत मिला ओका डाटेन अउर ओका चुप रहइ क कहेन। तब ओकर अवाज ऊँच स ऊँच होत गइ, “दाऊद क पूत! मो प दाया कर!”

⁴⁹Jesus stood still, and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”

⁴⁹तउ ईसू रुका अउ कहेस, “ओका मोरे लगे बोलॉवा।” एह पइ उ सबइ आँधर क बोलाएन अउर ओसे कहेन, “मनवा क मजबूत कर। खरा ह्वा। ईसू तोहका बोलावत ह।”

⁵⁰He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.

⁵⁰उ आँधर आपन लबादा फेंकि दिहस अउर उछरि पड़ा अउर फिन ईसू क लगे गवा।

⁵¹Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, Rabboni is a transliteration of the Hebrew word for “great teacher.” that I may see again.”

⁵¹तब ईसू ओसे कहेस, “तू मोसे आपन बरे का करवावइ चाहत ह” आँधर ओसे कहेस, “हे गुरु, मइँ पुनि देखइ चाहत हउँ।”

⁵²Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

⁵²तउ ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “जा। तोहरे बिसवास स तोहार उद्धार भवा।” अउर उ फउरन देखइ लायक होइ सका। फिन उ ईसू का पाछे सरक प होइ गवा।
