¹Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

²Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.

²Evo ja, Pavao, velim vam: ako se obrežete, Krist vam ništa neće koristiti.

³Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

³I ponovno jamčim svakom čovjeku koji se obreže: dužan je opsluživati sav Zakon.

⁴You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.

⁴Prekinuli ste s Kristom vi koji se u Zakonu mislite opravdati; iz milosti ste ispali.

⁵For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

⁵Jer mi po Duhu iz vjere očekujemo pravednost, nadu svoju.

⁶For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

⁶Uistinu, u Kristu Isusu ništa ne vrijedi ni obrezanje ni neobrezanje, nego - vjera ljubavlju djelotvorna.

⁷You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?

⁷Dobro ste trčali; tko li vas je samo spriječio da se više ne pokoravate istini?

⁸This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

⁸Ta pobuda nije od Onoga koji vas zove!

⁹A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

⁹Malo kvasca cijelo tijesto ukvasa.

¹⁰I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.

¹⁰Ja se uzdam u vas u Gospodinu: vi nećete drukčije misliti. A tko vas zbunjuje, snosit će osudu, tko god bio.

¹¹But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

¹¹A ja, braćo, ako sveudilj propovijedam obrezanje, zašto me sveudilj progone? Onda je obeskrijepljena sablazan križa!

¹²I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.

¹²Uškopili se oni koji vas podbunjuju!

¹³For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

¹³Doista vi ste, braćo, na slobodu pozvani! Samo neka ta sloboda ne bude izlikom tijelu, nego - ljubavlju služite jedni drugima.

¹⁴For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Leviticus 19:18

¹⁴Ta sav je Zakon ispunjen u jednoj jedinoj riječi, u ovoj: Ljubi bližnjega svoga kao sebe samoga!

¹⁵But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.

¹⁵Ako li pak jedni druge grizete i glođete, pazite da jedni druge ne proždrete.

¹⁶But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

¹⁶Hoću reći: po Duhu živite pa nećete ugađati požudi tijela!

¹⁷For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

¹⁷Jer tijelo žudi protiv Duha, a Duh protiv tijela. Doista, to se jedno drugomu protivi da ne činite što hoćete.

¹⁸But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

¹⁸Ali ako vas Duh vodi, niste pod Zakonom.

¹⁹Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,

¹⁹A očita su djela tijela. To su: bludnost, nečistoća, razvratnost,

²⁰idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,

²⁰idolopoklonstvo, vračanje, neprijateljstva, svađa, ljubomor, srdžbe, spletkarenja, razdori, strančarenja,

²¹envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

²¹zavisti, pijančevanja, pijanke i tome slično. Unaprijed vam kažem, kao što vam već rekoh: koji takvo što čine, kraljevstva Božjega neće baštiniti.

²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, or, faithfulness

²²Plod je pak Duha: ljubav, radost, mir, velikodušnost, uslužnost, dobrota, vjernost,

²³gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

²³blagost, uzdržljivost. Protiv tih nema zakona.

²⁴Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

²⁴Koji su Kristovi, razapeše tijelo sa strastima i požudama.

²⁵If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.

²⁵Ako živimo po Duhu, po Duhu se i ravnajmo!

²⁶Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.

²⁶Ne hlepimo za taštom slavom! Ne izazivajmo jedni druge, ne zaviđajmo jedni drugima!
