1Then Job answered,
1Job progovori i reče:
2“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!
2"Kako dobro znadeš pomoći nemoćnom i mišicu iznemoglu poduprijeti!
3How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
3Kako dobar savjet daješ neukome; baš si preveliku mudrost pokazao.
4To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?
4Kome li si ove uputio riječi i koji duh je iz tebe govorio?"
5“Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
5Pred Bogom mrtvi pod zemljom dolje strepe, vode morske dršću i nemani njine.
6 Sheol Sheol is the lower world or the grave. is naked before God, and Abaddon Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.
6Pred njegovim okom otkriven zja Šeol i bezdan smrti nema vela na sebi.
7He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.
7On povrh praznine Sjever razapinje, on drži zemlju o ništa obješenu.
8He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.
8On zatvara vodu u svoje oblake, a oblaci se pod njome ne prodiru.
9He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.
9On zastire puno lice mjesečevo razastirući svoj oblak preko njega.
10He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.
10On je na vodi označio kružnicu gdje prestaje svjetlost i tmine počinju.
11The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.
11Svodu se nebeskom potresu stupovi i premru od straha kada on zaprijeti.
12He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.
12Svojom je snagom on ukrotio more i neman Rahaba smrvio mudrošću.
13By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.
13Nebesa je svojim razbistrio dahom, a ruka mu je brzu zmiju probola.
14Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
14Sve to samo djelić je djela njegovih, od kojih tek slabu jeku mi čujemo. Ali tko će shvatit' grom njegove moći?"
