1It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yahweh.
1 Yn y flwyddyn pedwar cant wyth deg ar �l i'r Israeliaid ddod allan o wlad yr Aifft, ym mhedwaredd flwyddyn ei deyrnasiad ar Israel, ym mis Sif, yr ail fis, dechreuodd Solomon adeiladu tu375?'r ARGLWYDD.
2The house which king Solomon built for Yahweh, its length was sixty cubits, and its breadth twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
2 Yr oedd y tu375? a adeiladodd y Brenin Solomon i'r ARGLWYDD yn drigain cufydd ei hyd, yn ugain cufydd ei led ac yn ddeg cufydd ar hugain ei uchder.
3The porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was its length, according to the breadth of the house. Ten cubits was its breadth before the house.
3 Yr oedd y cyntedd o flaen corff y tu375? yn ugain cufydd ei hyd, gyda lled y tu375?, a deg cufydd o led o flaen y tu375?.
4For the house he made windows of fixed lattice work.
4 A gwnaeth ffenestri i'r tu375? yn goleuo at i lawr trwy ddelltwaith.
5Against the wall of the house he built stories all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side rooms all around.
5 Cododd adeilad yn erbyn mur y tu375? o gylch corff y tu375? a'r cysegr mewnol; a gwnaeth fwtresi o amgylch.
6The nethermost story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.
6 Yr oedd y celloedd isaf yn bum cufydd o led, y rhai canol yn chwe chufydd, a'r drydedd res yn saith gufydd, oherwydd gwnaeth rabadau oddi allan i'r tu375? o amgylch fel na rwymid y trawstiau ym muriau'r tu375?.
7The house, when it was in building, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
7 Adeiladwyd y tu375? o gerrig wedi eu cyweirio yn y chwarel, fel nad oedd su373?n morthwyl na neddau nac unrhyw erfyn haearn i'w glywed yn y tu375? wrth ei adeiladu.
8The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.
8 Ar ochr dde'r tu375? yr oedd y mynediad i'r llawr isaf, gyda grisiau tro yn esgyn i'r llawr canol ac o'r un canol i'r trydydd.
9So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
9 Wedi iddo orffen ei adeiladu, coediodd y tu375? � thrawstiau ac ystyllod o gedrwydd.
10He built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
10 Cododd adeilad pum cufydd ei uchder yn erbyn yr holl du375?, a'i gydio wrth y tu375? � chedrwydd.
11The word of Yahweh came to Solomon, saying,
11 Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Solomon, gan ddweud,
12“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
12 "Ynglu375?n �'r tu375? hwn yr wyt yn ei adeiladu, os bydd iti rodio yn fy neddfau a chyflawni fy marnedigaethau a chadw fy holl orchmynion a'u dilyn, yna cyflawnaf iti yr addewid a wneuthum i'th dad Dafydd;
13I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”
13 a thrigaf ymysg plant Israel, ac ni adawaf fy mhobl Israel."
14So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
14 Adeiladodd Solomon y tu375? a'i orffen;
15He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.
15 a byrddiodd barwydydd y tu375? ag ystyllod cedrwydd, a'u coedio o'r llawr hyd dulathau'r nenfwd, a llorio'r tu375? � phlanciau ffynidwydd.
16He built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.
16 Caeodd ugain cufydd yn nhalcen y tu375? ag ystyllod cedrwydd, o'r llawr hyd y tulathau, a'i neilltuo iddo'i hun yn gysegr mewnol, i fod yn gysegr sancteiddiaf.
17In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits.
17 Yr oedd y tu375?, sef corff y deml o flaen y cysegr mewnol, yn ddeugain cufydd o hyd.
18There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
18 Yr oedd y cedrwydd y tu mewn i'r tu375? wedi eu cerfio'n gnapiau ac yn flodau agored; yr oedd yn gedrwydd i gyd, heb garreg yn y golwg.
19He prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.
19 Darparodd y cysegr mewnol yn y man nesaf i mewn yn y tu375? i dderbyn arch cyfamod yr ARGLWYDD.
20Within the oracle was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar.
20 Yr oedd y cysegr mewnol yn ugain cufydd o hyd, ugain o led ac ugain o uchder, a goreurodd hi ag aur pur; gwnaeth hefyd allor gedrwydd.
21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
21 Goreurodd Solomon y tu375? oddi mewn ag aur pur, a gosododd gadwyni aur ar draws, o flaen y cysegr mewnol a oreurwyd.
22The whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.
22 Gwisgodd yr holl du375? o'i gwr ag aur, a'r allor i gyd, a oedd yn perthyn i'r cysegr mewnol.
23In the oracle he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
23 Yn y cysegr mewnol gwnaeth ddau gerwb, deg cufydd o uchder, o bren olewydd.
24Five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
24 Yr oedd dwy adain y naill gerwb yn bum cufydd yr un, sef deg cufydd o flaen un adain i flaen y llall.
25The other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
25 Yr oedd yr ail gerwb yn ddeg cufydd hefyd, gyda'r un mesur a'r un ffurf i'r ddau.
26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
26 Deg cufydd oedd uchder y naill a'r llall.
27He set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
27 Gosododd y cerwbiaid yng nghanol y cysegr mewnol. Yr oedd eu hadenydd ar led, ac adain y naill yn cyffwrdd ag un pared ac adain y llall yn cyffwrdd �'r pared arall, a'u hadenydd yn cyffwrdd �'i gilydd yn y canol.
28He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
28 Yr oedd wedi goreuro'r cerwbiaid.
29He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside.
29 Cerfiodd holl barwydydd y cysegr mewnol o amgylch � lluniau cerwbiaid a phalmwydd a blodau agored, y tu mewn a'r tu allan;
30The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.
30 a goreurodd lawr y cysegr mewnol oddi mewn ac oddi allan.
31For the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
31 Gwnaeth ddorau o goed olewydd i fynedfa'r cysegr mewnol, a'r capan a'r cilbyst yn bumochrog.
32So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the cherubim, and on the palm trees.
32 Cerfiodd gerwbiaid a phalmwydd a blodau agored ar y ddwy dd�r o goed olewydd; wedyn goreurodd hwy, a rhedeg aur dros y cerwbiaid a'r palmwydd.
33So also made he for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall;
33 Yn yr un modd gwnaeth gilbyst sgw�r o goed palmwydd i fynedfa corff y deml.
34and two doors of fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
34 Yr oedd y ddwy dd�r o goed ffynidwydd, y naill a'r llall yn ddeuddarn yn plygu ar ei gilydd.
35He carved cherubim and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
35 Cerfiodd gerwbiaid a phalmwydd a blodau agored arnynt, a'u goreuro'n gytbwys dros y cerfiad.
36He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams.
36 Adeiladodd y cyntedd nesaf i mewn � thri chwrs o gerrig nadd ac � chwrs o drawstiau cedrwydd.
37In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of Yahweh laid, in the month Ziv.
37 Gosodwyd sylfaen tu375?'r ARGLWYDD ym mis Sif o'r bedwaredd flwyddyn;
38In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its fashion. So was he seven years in building it.
38 a gorffennwyd y tu375? yn �l holl ofynion y cynllun ym mis Bul (dyna'r wythfed mis) o'r unfed flwyddyn ar ddeg. Felly saith mlynedd y bu'n ei adeiladu.
