1 Yr henuriad at Gaius, y gu373?r annwyl yr wyf fi yn ei garu yn y gwirionedd.
2Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.
2 Gyfaill annwyl, yr wyf yn dymuno iechyd iti, a llwyddiant ym mhob peth, fel y mae dy enaid yn llwyddo.
3For I rejoiced greatly, when brothers came and testified about your truth, even as you walk in truth.
3 Oherwydd yr oedd yn llawenydd mawr i mi pan fyddai cyfeillion yn dod ac yn tystio i'th wirionedd di, i'r modd yr wyt ti'n rhodio yn y gwirionedd.
4I have no greater joy than this, to hear about my children walking in truth.
4 Nid oes dim sy'n fwy o lawenydd i mi na chlywed bod fy mhlant yn rhodio yn y gwirionedd.
5Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers.
5 Gyfaill annwyl, yr wyt ti'n gwneud peth teilwng wrth wasanaethu'r cyfeillion, a hwythau'n ddieithriaid.
6They have testified about your love before the assembly. You will do well to send them forward on their journey in a way worthy of God,
6 Y maent hwy wedi tystio gerbron yr eglwys i'th gariad di; da ti, rho iddynt ar eu taith gymorth teilwng o Dduw.
7because for the sake of the Name they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
7 Oherwydd er mwyn yr Enw yr aethant allan, heb dderbyn dim gan y Cenhedloedd.
8We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.
8 Felly dylem ni gynorthwyo pobl o'r fath, er mwyn inni fod yn gydweithwyr dros y gwirionedd.
9I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, doesn’t accept what we say.
9 Ysgrifennais air at yr eglwys, ond nid yw Diotreffes, sy'n chwenychu bod yn ben arnynt, yn derbyn ein hawdurdod.
10Therefore if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words. Not content with this, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and those who would, he forbids and throws out of the assembly.
10 Felly, pan ddof, byddaf yn galw sylw at yr hyn y mae'n ei wneud, yn clebran yn ein herbyn � geiriau drygionus; ac yn wir, nid yw'n fodlon ar eiriau � y mae'n gwrthod derbyn y cyfeillion, ac yn gwahardd y rhai sydd am eu derbyn, ac yn eu bwrw allan o'r eglwys.
11Beloved, don’t imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil hasn’t seen God.
11 Gyfaill annwyl, efelycha ddaioni, nid drygioni. Y sawl sy'n gwneud daioni, o Dduw y mae; ond y sawl sy'n gwneud drygioni, nid yw wedi gweld Duw.
12Demetrius has the testimony of all, and of the truth itself; yes, we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.
12 Y mae gair da i Demetrius gan bawb, a chan y gwirionedd ei hun; ac yr ydym ninnau hefyd yn tystio iddo, a gwyddost fod ein tystiolaeth ni yn wir.
13I had many things to write to you, but I am unwilling to write to you with ink and pen;
13 Y mae gennyf lawer o bethau i'w hysgrifennu atat, ond gwell gennyf beidio ag ysgrifennu atat � phen ac inc.
14but I hope to see you soon, and we will speak face to face. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.
14 Rwy'n gobeithio dy weld yn fuan, a chawn siarad wyneb yn wyneb. {cf2 (1:15)} Tangnefedd i ti! Y mae'r cyfeillion yma yn dy gyfarch. Cyfarch di y cyfeillion yna, bob un wrth ei enw.
