Daniel

3

1Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits, and its breadth six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
1 Gwnaeth y Brenin Nebuchadnesar ddelw aur drigain cufydd o uchder a chwe chufydd o led, a'i gosod yng ngwastadedd Dura yn nhalaith Babilon.
2Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the satraps, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
2 A gwysiodd y Brenin Nebuchadnesar y tywysogion, y penaethiaid, y pendefigion, y rhaglawiaid, y trysorwyr, y barnwyr, y cyfreithwyr, a holl lywodraethwyr y taleithiau i ddod ynghyd i gysegru'r ddelw a wnaeth y Brenin Nebuchadnesar.
3Then the satraps, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
3 Yna daeth y tywysogion, y penaethiaid, y pendefigion, y rhaglawiaid, y trysorwyr, y barnwyr, y cyfreithwyr, a holl lywodraethwyr y taleithiau at ei gilydd i gysegru'r ddelw a wnaeth Nebuchadnesar, a sefyll o'i blaen.
4Then the herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, peoples, nations, and languages,
4 Gwaeddodd y cyhoeddwr yn uchel, "Dyma'r gorchymyn i chwi bobloedd, genhedloedd ac ieithoedd.
5that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;
5 Pan glywch su373?n y corn, y pibgorn, y delyn, y trigon, y crythau, a'r bagbib, a phob math o offeryn, syrthiwch ac addoli'r ddelw aur a wnaeth y Brenin Nebuchadnesar.
6and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
6 Pwy bynnag sy'n gwrthod syrthio ac addoli, caiff ei daflu ar unwaith i ganol ffwrn o dn poeth."
7Therefore at that time, when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
7 Felly, cyn gynted ag y clywodd yr holl bobl su373?n y corn, y pibgorn, y delyn, y trigon, y crythau, a'r bagbib, a phob math o offeryn, syrthiodd y bobloedd a'r cenhedloedd a'r ieithoedd ac addoli'r ddelw aur a wnaeth Nebuchadnesar.
8Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and brought accusation against the Jews.
8 Dyna'r adeg y daeth rhai o'r Caldeaid chyhuddiad yn erbyn yr Iddewon,
9They answered Nebuchadnezzar the king, O king, live for ever.
9 a dweud wrth y Brenin Nebuchadnesar, "O frenin, bydd fyw byth!
10You, O king, have made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image;
10 Rhoddaist orchymyn, O frenin, fod pawb a glywai su373?n y corn, y pibgorn, y delyn, y trigon, y crythau, a'r bagbib, a phob math o offeryn, i syrthio ac addoli'r ddelw aur,
11and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
11 a bod pob un sy'n gwrthod syrthio ac addoli i'w daflu i ganol ffwrnais o dn poeth.
12There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not respected you. They don’t serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
12 Y mae rhyw Iddewon a benodaist yn llywodraethwyr yn nhalaith Babilon Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego heb gymryd dim sylw ohonot, O frenin. Nid ydynt yn gwasanaethu dy dduwiau, nac yn addoli'r ddelw aur a wnaethost,"
13Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
13 Yna, mewn tymer wyllt, anfonodd Nebuchadnesar am Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego. Pan ddygwyd hwy o flaen y brenin,
14Nebuchadnezzar answered them, Is it on purpose, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you don’t serve my god, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
14 dywedodd, "Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego, a yw'n wir nad ydych yn gwasanaethu fy nuwiau i nac yn addoli'r ddelw aur a wneuthum?
15Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, well: but if you don’t worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands?
15 Yn awr, a ydych yn barod i syrthio ac addoli'r ddelw a wneuthum, pan glywch su373?n y corn, y pibgorn, y delyn, y trigon, y crythau, a'r bagbib, a phob math o offeryn? Os na wnewch, teflir chwi ar unwaith i ganol ffwrnais o dn poeth. Pa dduw a all eich gwaredu o'm gafael?"
16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
16 Atebodd Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego y brenin, "Nid oes angen i ni dy ateb ynglu375?n hyn.
17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
17 Y mae'r Duw a addolwn ni yn alluog i'n hachub, ac fe'n hachub o ganol y ffwrnais danllyd ac o'th afael dithau, O frenin;
18But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
18 a hyd yn oed os na wna, yr ydym am i ti wybod, O frenin, na wasanaethwn ni dy dduwiau nac addoli'r ddelw aur a wnaethost."
19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.
19 Yna cynddeiriogodd Nebuchadnesar, a newid ei agwedd tuag at Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego.
20He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
20 Gorchmynnodd dwymo'r ffwrnais yn seithwaith poethach nag arfer, ac i filwyr praff o'i fyddin rwymo Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego a'u taflu i'r ffwrnais dn.
21Then these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
21 Felly rhwymwyd y tri yn eu dillad cotiau, crysau a chapiau a'u taflu i ganol y ffwrnais dn.
22Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
22 Yr oedd gorchymyn y brenin mor chwyrn, a'r ffwrnais mor boeth,
23These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
23 yswyd y dynion oedd yn cario Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego gan fflamau'r tn, a syrthiodd y tri gwron, Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego, yn eu rhwymau i ganol y ffwrnais dn.
24Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spoke and said to his counselors, Didn’t we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered the king, True, O king.
24 Yna neidiodd Nebuchadnesar ar ei draed mewn syndod a dweud wrth ei gynghorwyr, "Onid tri dyn a daflwyd gennym yn rhwym i ganol y tn?" "Gwir, O frenin," oedd yr ateb.
25He answered, Look, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are unharmed; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods.
25 "Ond," meddai yntau, "rwy'n gweld pedwar o ddynion yn cerdded yn rhydd ynghanol y tn, heb niwed, a'r pedwerydd yn debyg i un o feibion y duwiau."
26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace: he spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come forth, and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came forth out of the midst of the fire.
26 Yna aeth Nebuchadnesar at geg y ffwrnais a dweud, "Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego, gweision y Duw Goruchaf, dewch allan a dewch yma." A daeth Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego allan o ganol y tn.
27The satraps, the deputies, and the governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed, neither were their pants changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them.
27 Pan ddaeth tywysogion, penaethiaid, pendefigion a chynghorwyr y brenin at ei gilydd, gwelsant nad oedd y tn wedi cyffwrdd chyrff y tri. Nid oedd gwallt eu pen wedi ei ddeifio, na'u dillad wedi eu llosgi, ac nid oedd arogl tn arnynt.
28Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
28 A dywedodd Nebuchadnesar, "Bendigedig yw Duw Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego, a anfonodd ei angel i achub ei weision, a ymddiriedodd ynddo a herio gorchymyn y brenin, a rhoi eu cyrff i'r tn yn hytrach na gwasanaethu ac addoli unrhyw dduw ond eu Duw eu hunain.
29Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other god who is able to deliver after this sort.
29 Yr wyf yn gorchymyn fod unrhyw un, beth bynnag fo'i bobl, ei genedl, neu ei iaith, sy'n cablu Duw Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego yn cael ei rwygo'n ddarnau, a bod ei du375? i'w droi'n domen. Nid oes duw arall a all waredu fel hyn."
30Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
30 Yna parodd y brenin lwyddiant i Sadrach, Mesach ac Abednego yn nhalaith Babilon.
