1There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
1 Yr oedd dyn o fynydd-dir Effraim o'r enw Mica.
2He said to his mother, “The eleven hundred pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse, and also spoke it in my ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it.” His mother said, “Blessed be my son of Yahweh.”
2 Dywedodd wrth ei fam, "Ynglu375?n 'r un cant ar ddeg o ddarnau arian a ddygwyd oddi arnat, ac y clywais di'n cyhoeddi melltith arnynt dyma'r arian gennyf fi; myfi a'u cymerodd." Ac meddai ei fam, "Bendith yr ARGLWYDD fo ar fy mab!"
3He restored the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother; and his mother said, “I most certainly dedicate the silver to Yahweh from my hand for my son, to make an engraved image and a molten image. Now therefore I will restore it to you.”
3 Rhoddodd yr un cant ar ddeg o ddarnau arian yn l i'w fam; a dywedodd hithau, "Yr wyf am lwyr gysegru'r arian hwn i'r ARGLWYDD, a'i roi i'm mab i wneud cerfddelw a delw dawdd; felly dyma fi'n ei roi yn l iti."
4When he restored the money to his mother, his mother took two hundred pieces of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made of it an engraved image and a molten image: and it was in the house of Micah.
4 Ond dychwelodd ef yr arian i'w fam, ac yna cymerodd hi ddau gant o'r darnau a'u rhoi i'r eurych, a gwnaeth yntau gerfddelw a delw dawdd i fod yn nhu375? Mica.
5The man Micah had a house of gods, and he made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
5 Yr oedd gan y dyn hwn, Mica, gysegr, a gwnaeth effod a teraffim, ac urddo un o'i feibion i fod yn offeiriad iddo.
6In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
6 Yn y dyddiau hynny nid oedd brenin yn Israel; yr oedd pob un yn gwneud yr hyn oedd yn iawn yn ei olwg ei hun.
7There was a young man out of Bethlehem Judah, of the family of Judah, who was a Levite; and he lived there.
7 Yr oedd llanc o Lefiad o Fethlehem Jwda yn crwydro ymysg tylwyth Jwda,
8The man departed out of the city, out of Bethlehem Judah, to live where he could find a place, and he came to the hill country of Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he traveled.
8 ac wedi iddo adael tref Bethlehem Jwda i fyw ymhle bynnag y ci le, digwyddodd ddod ar ei daith i fynydd-dir Effraim ac i du375? Mica.
9Micah said to him, “Where did you come from?” He said to him, “I am a Levite of Bethlehem Judah, and I am looking for a place to live.”
9 Gofynnodd Mica iddo, "O ble'r wyt ti'n dod?" Atebodd yntau, "Lefiad wyf fi o Fethlehem Jwda, ac rwyf am aros ymhle bynnag y caf le."
10Micah said to him, “Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.
10 Ac meddai Mica wrtho, "Aros gyda mi, a bydd yn dad ac yn offeiriad i mi. Rhoddaf finnau iti ddeg darn arian y flwyddyn, dy ddillad a'th fwyd."
11The Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.
11 Cytunodd y llanc o Lefiad i fyw gyda'r dyn, a bu fel un o'i feibion.
12Micah consecrated the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
12 Urddodd Mica y Lefiad ifanc, a bu'n offeiriad iddo ac yn aros yn nhu375? Mica.
13Then Micah said, “Now know I that Yahweh will do good to me, since I have a Levite to my priest.”
13 A dywedodd Mica, "Gwn yn awr y bydd yr ARGLWYDD yn fy llwyddo, oherwydd daeth y Lefiad yn offeiriad imi."
