¹Give thanks to Yahweh, “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

¹ Diolchwch i'r ARGLWYDD, oherwydd da yw, ac y mae ei gariad hyd byth.

²Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

² Fel yna dyweded y rhai a waredwyd gan yr ARGLWYDD, y rhai a waredodd ef o law'r gelyn,

³And gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

³ a'u cynnull ynghyd o'r gwledydd, o'r dwyrain a'r gorllewin, o'r gogledd a'r de.

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.

⁴ Aeth rhai ar goll mewn anialdir a diffeithwch, heb gael ffordd at ddinas i fyw ynddi;

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

⁵ yr oeddent yn newynog ac yn sychedig, ac yr oedd eu nerth yn pallu.

⁶Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁶ Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd hwy o'u hadfyd;

⁷he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.

⁷ arweiniodd hwy ar hyd ffordd union i fynd i ddinas i fyw ynddi.

⁸Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

⁸ Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.

⁹For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.

⁹ Oherwydd rhoes eu digon i'r sychedig, a llenwi'r newynog � phethau daionus.

¹⁰Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

¹⁰ Yr oedd rhai yn eistedd mewn tywyllwch dudew, yn gaethion mewn gofid a haearn,

¹¹because they rebelled against the words of God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” , and condemned the counsel of the Most High.

¹¹ am iddynt wrthryfela yn erbyn geiriau Duw, a dirmygu cyngor y Goruchaf.

¹²Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was none to help.

¹² Llethwyd eu calon gan flinder; syrthiasant heb neb i'w hachub.

¹³Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

¹³ Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.

¹⁴ daeth � hwy allan o'r tywyllwch dudew, a drylliodd eu gefynnau.

¹⁵Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁵ Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.

¹⁶For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut through bars of iron.

¹⁶ Oherwydd torrodd byrth pres, a drylliodd farrau heyrn.

¹⁷Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.

¹⁷ Yr oedd rhai yn ynfyd; oherwydd eu ffyrdd pechadurus a'u camwedd fe'u cystuddiwyd;

¹⁸Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.

¹⁸ aethant i gas�u pob math o fwyd, a daethant yn agos at byrth angau.

¹⁹Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

¹⁹ Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;

²⁰He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.

²⁰ anfonodd ei air ac iachaodd hwy, a gwaredodd hwy o ddistryw.

²¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

²¹ Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.

²²Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

²² Bydded iddynt ddod ag offrymau diolch, a dweud am ei weithredoedd mewn gorfoledd.

²³Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters;

²³ Aeth rhai i'r m�r mewn llongau, a gwneud eu gorchwylion ar ddyfroedd mawr;

²⁴These see Yahweh’s works, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁴ gwelsant hwy weithredoedd yr ARGLWYDD, a'i ryfeddodau yn y dyfnder.

²⁵For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.

²⁵ Pan lefarai ef, deuai gwynt stormus, a pheri i'r tonnau godi'n uchel.

²⁶They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.

²⁶ Cawsant eu codi i'r nefoedd a'u bwrw i'r dyfnder, a phallodd eu dewrder yn y trybini;

²⁷They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

²⁷ yr oeddent yn troi yn simsan fel meddwyn, ac wedi colli eu holl fedr.

²⁸Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.

²⁸ Yna gwaeddasant ar yr ARGLWYDD yn eu cyfyngder, a gwaredodd ef hwy o'u hadfyd;

²⁹He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.

²⁹ gwnaeth i'r storm dawelu, ac aeth y tonnau'n ddistaw;

³⁰Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.

³⁰ yr oeddent yn llawen am iddi lonyddu, ac arweiniodd hwy i'r hafan a ddymunent.

³¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works for the children of men!

³¹ Bydded iddynt ddiolch i'r ARGLWYDD am ei gariad, ac am ei ryfeddodau i ddynolryw.

³²Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.

³² Bydded iddynt ei ddyrchafu yng nghynulleidfa'r bobl, a'i foliannu yng nghyngor yr henuriaid.

³³He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,

³³ Y mae ef yn troi afonydd yn ddiffeithwch, a ffynhonnau dyfroedd yn sychdir;

³⁴and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

³⁴ y mae ef yn troi tir ffrwythlon yn grastir, oherwydd drygioni'r rhai sy'n byw yno.

³⁵He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.

³⁵ Y mae ef yn troi diffeithwch yn llynnau du373?r, a thir sych yn ffynhonnau.

³⁶There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,

³⁶ Gwna i'r newynog fyw yno, a sefydlant ddinas i fyw ynddi;

³⁷sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.

³⁷ heuant feysydd a phlannu gwinwydd, a ch�nt gnydau toreithiog.

³⁸He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.

³⁸ Bydd ef yn eu bendithio ac yn eu hamlhau, ac ni fydd yn gadael i'w gwartheg leihau.

³⁹Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

³⁹ Pan fyddant yn lleihau ac wedi eu darostwng trwy orthrwm, helbul a gofid,

⁴⁰He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

⁴⁰ bydd ef yn tywallt gwarth ar dywysogion, ac yn peri iddynt grwydro trwy'r anialwch diarffordd.

⁴¹Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.

⁴¹ Ond bydd yn codi'r tlawd o'i ofid, ac yn gwneud ei deulu fel praidd.

⁴²The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.

⁴² Bydd yr uniawn yn gweld ac yn llawenhau, ond pob un drygionus yn atal ei dafod.

⁴³Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.

⁴³ Pwy bynnag sydd ddoeth, rhoed sylw i'r pethau hyn; bydded iddynt ystyried ffyddlondeb yr ARGLWYDD.
