1Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
1اینها نامهای اشخاص معروف و شجاعی هستند که وقتی داود از ترس شائول پادشاه، پسر قیس پنهان شده بود، در جنگها همراه او بودند و با او کمک کردند.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow: they were of Saul’s brothers of Benjamin.
2آن ها تیراندازان ماهری بودند که از فلاخن و کمان با دست راست و چپ کار گرفته می توانستند و همگی از قبیلۀ بنیامین و از خویشاوندان شائول بودند.
3The chief was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite,
3سرکردگان شان به ترتیب اینها بودند: اَخیعَزَر (رئیس شان)، بعد از او برادرش، یوآش که هردو پسران شَماعَۀ جِبعاتی بودند؛ یَزی ئیل و فالط، پسران عَزموت؛ بَراکَه و یِیهُوی عَناتوتی؛
4and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite,
4یِشمَعیای جِبعونی که شجاعترین شخص در میان آن سی نفر فرمانده نظامی و سرکردۀ آن ها بود، ارمیا، یحزیئیل، یُوحانان، یوزابادِ جَدیراتی،
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
5اَلعُوزای، یَریموت، بَعلیا، شَمریا، شَفَطیای حَروفی،
6Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites,
6اَلقانَه، یشیه، عَزرئیل، یُوعَزَر، یَشُبعام (از خانوادۀ قورَحیان)،
7and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
7یُوعیلَه و زَبَدیا، پسران یِروحَم جَدوری.
8Of the Gadites there separated themselves to David to the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes on the mountains;
8یک عده از مردان قبیلۀ جاد که در فن جنگ آزموده و اشخاص دلاور بودند، در قلعۀ بیابانی پیش داود آمدند. آن ها همه مسلح با سپر، تیراندازان ماهر، مانند شیرِ هیبتناک و مثل آهو در کوهها و تپه ها تیز و چابک بودند.
9Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
9نامهای شان به ترتیب رتبه و مقام از اینقرار اند: اولی عازَر (رئیس)، دومی عوبَدیا، سومی اِلیاب،
10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
10چهارمی مِشمَنه، پنجمی ارمیا،
11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
11ششمی عَتای، هفتمی اَلِی ئیل،
12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
12هشتمی یُوحانان، نهمی اَلزاباد،
13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
13دهمی ارمیا و یازدهمی مکبَنای.
14These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army: he who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to one thousand.
14این جادیان فرماندهان نظامی و قوماندانهای یکصد نفری و یکهزار نفری بودند.
15These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
15آن ها در ماه اول سال که زمان آبخیزی بود از دریای اُردن عبور کردند و همه ساکنین وادیهای دو سمت دریا را مغلوب و پراگنده کردند.
16There came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the stronghold to David.
16بعضی از مردان قبایل بنیامین و یهودا برای ملاقات با داود در قلعۀ مسکونی او رفتند.
17David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart shall be knit to you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.”
17داود به استقبال شان بیرون رفت و به آن ها گفت: «اگر شما از روی دوستی و برای کمک من تشریف آورده اید، خوش آمدید و با هم دوست می شویم، اما اگر به این منظور آمده اید که مرا، با وجود اینکه ظلمی نکرده ام، به دست دشمنانم تسلیم کنید، از خدای اجداد خود می خواهم که ببیند و شما را جزا بدهد.»
18Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
18آنگاه روح خدا بر عَماسای (که بعد رئیس آن سی نفر شد) فرود آمد و گفت: «ما همه از آن تو هستیم، ای داود؛ ما طرفدار تو هستیم، ای پسر یسی! صلح و سلامتی نصیب تو باد، سلامت باد کسانیکه از تو حمایت می کنند! زیرا خداوند مددگار تو است.» پس داود آن ها را پذیرفت و بعنوان سرکردگان لشکر خود مقرر کرد.
19Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle; but they didn’t help them; for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
19وقتیکه داود با فلسطینی ها برای جنگ در مقابل شائول می رفت، عده ای از مردم مَنَسّی طرفدار داود شدند، (اما داود و مردانش با فلسطینی ها کمک نکردند، زیرا رهبران فلسطینی ها بعد از آنکه با هم مشوره کردند، او را واپس به صِقلَغ فرستادند، چون ترسیدند که مبادا بودن داود و همراهانش به قیمت جان آن ها تمام شود و او به طرفداری از آقای خود با آن ها بجنگد.)
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
20اینها نامهای مردان مَنَسّی هستند که با داود به صِقلَغ رفتند: عَدناح، یُوزاباد، یدیعئیل، میکائیل، یُوزاباد، الیهو و صِلتای. اشخاص نامبرده قوماندان های هزار نفری مَنَسّی بودند.
21They helped David against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the army.
21آن ها مردان نیرومند و سرکردگان سپاه بودند که با داود در جنگ با مهاجمین عمالَقه کمک کردند.
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of God.
22مردم هر روزه برای کمک به داود می آمدند تا اینکه سپاه او مثل لشکر خدا عظیم و بیشمار گردید.
23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of Yahweh.
23تعداد افرادی که برای جنگ مسلح شده بودند و به حبرون آمدند تا مطابق فرمان خداوند، سلطنت شائول را به داود بسپارند قرار آتی است:
24The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
24از قبیلۀ یهودا: مسلح با سپر و نیزه، شش هزار و هشتصد نفر.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
25از قبیلۀ شمعون، مردان شجاع و آماده برای جنگ، هفت هزار و یکصد نفر.
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
26از قبیلۀ لاوی: چهار هزار و ششصد نفر.
27Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,
27یَهویاداع، رئیس خانوادۀ هارون همراه با سه هزار و هفتصد نفر.
28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
28صادوق، جوان شجاع، با بیست و دو نفر از رؤسای خانوادۀ پدرش.
29Of the children of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
29از قبیلۀ بنیامین: سه هزار نفر (خویشاوندان شائول)، بسیاری از آن ها تا آنزمان به شائول وفادار ماندند.
30Of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
30از قبیلۀ افرایم: بیست هزار و هشتصد نفر ـ همگی جنگجویان شجاع معروف خانوادۀ خود بودند.
31Of the half-tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
31از نیم قبیلۀ منسی: هجده هزار نفر که به نمایندگی از قبیلۀ خود برای مراسم تاجپوشی داود آمده بودند.
32Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their commandment.
32از قبیلۀ ایسَسکار: مردانی مجرب که از سیاست روز آگاهی کامل داشتند و از روی احوال زمان مشوره می دادند ـ دو صد نفر از رهبران با خویش و قوم شان.
33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array, with all kinds of instruments of war, fifty thousand, and who could command and were not of double heart.
33از قبیلۀ زبولون: پنجاه هزار نفر جنگجویان با تجربه، آماده برای جنگ و مجهز با هر گونه سلاح، تا به داود با وفاداری و یکدلی کمک کنند.
34Of Naphtali one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
34از قبیلۀ نفتالی: یکهزار نفر فرمانده نظامی بشمول سی و هفت هزار افراد مسلح با سپر و نیزه
35Of the Danites who could set the battle in array, twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
35از قبیلۀ دان: بیست و هشت هزار و ششصد نفر مردان آماده برای جنگ.
36Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array, forty thousand.
36از قبیلۀ اَشیر: چهل هزار نفر مردان با تجربه و آماده برای جنگ
37On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle, one hundred twenty thousand.
37از قبایل رؤبین، جاد و نصف قبیلۀ منسی (شرق دریای اُردن) یکصد و بیست هزار نفر، همه مجهز با انواع اسلحه.
38All these being men of war, who could order the battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
38همۀ این مردان جنگجو به خواهش خود به حبرون آمدند و داوطلب شدند که در هر رتبه مقام برای خدمت حاضر باشند و با جان و دل بکوشند تا سلطنت داود را در سراسر سرزمین اسرائیل وسعت بخشند. به همین ترتیب، سایر مردم اسرائیل داود را با یکدل و یک زبان بعنوان پادشاه خود قبول کردند.
39They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had made preparation for them.
39آن ها در آنجا مدت سه روز با داود ماندند و در خوردنی و نوشیدنی که خانواده های شان تهیه کرده بودند، اشتراک کردند.همچنین همسایگان شان، از قبایل ایسَسکار، زبولون و نفتالی آمدند و برای شان بر خرها، شترها، قاطرها و گاوها خوراکه از قبیل آرد، کیک انجیر، شراب، روغن و رمه و گلۀ گاو و گوسفند را بفراوانی آوردند و دلهای همۀ مردم در اسرائیل سرشار از خوشی بودند.
40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, food of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and cattle, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Israel.
40همچنین همسایگان شان، از قبایل ایسَسکار، زبولون و نفتالی آمدند و برای شان بر خرها، شترها، قاطرها و گاوها خوراکه از قبیل آرد، کیک انجیر، شراب، روغن و رمه و گلۀ گاو و گوسفند را بفراوانی آوردند و دلهای همۀ مردم در اسرائیل سرشار از خوشی بودند.
