¹Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals: and the number of those who did the work according to their service was:

¹داود و سرکردگان نظامی یک عده از اولادۀ آساف، هیمان و یدوتون را انتخاب کردند تا با نوای چنگ و رباب و دایره نبوت کنند. اینها فهرست نامهای کسانی است که برای این وظیفه تعیین شده بودند:

²of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.

²از اولادۀ آساف: زَکور، یوسف، نَتَنیا و اَشرَئیلَه. آساف برحسب فرمان پادشاه نبوت می کرد و رهبری پسران خود را هم بعهده داشت.

³Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Yahweh.

³پسران یدوتون: جَدَلیا، صَری، اشعیا، شمعی، حَشَبیا و مَتتیا. این شش نفر تحت رهبری پدر خود، یدوتون با نوای چنگ نبوت می کردند و سرود حمد و سپاس خداوند را می نواختند.

⁴Of Heman; the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

⁴پسران هیمان: بُقَیا، مَتَنیا، عزیئیل، شبوئیل، یَریموت، حَنَنیا، حَنانی، اَلِیاتَه، جِدَلتی، رومَمتی ـ عَزَر، یُشبِقاشه، مَلوتی، هوتیر و مَحزیوت.

⁵All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

⁵همۀ اینها پسران هیمان، نبی پادشاه، بودند. خداوند قرار وعده ای که فرموده بود به او این افتخار را داد که دارای چهارده پسر و سه دختر شود.

⁶All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of Yahweh, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

⁶آن ها تحت رهبری پدر خود با نواختن دایره، چنگ و رباب مشغول خدمت خداوند در عبادتگاه بودند. آساف، هیمان و یدوتون زیر نظارت پادشاه کار می کردند.

⁷The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.

⁷تعداد آن ها با خویشاوندان شان دوصد و هشتاد و هشت نفر بود و همۀ آن ها در فن موسیقی مهارت کامل داشتند تا سرود حمد و سپاس خداوند را بنوازند.

⁸They cast lots for their offices, all alike, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

⁸وظیفۀ هر کدام، از کوچک تا بزرگ، معلم و شاگرد، بحکم قرعه تعیین شده بود.

⁹Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah; he and his brothers and sons were twelve:

⁹قرعۀ اول بنام یوسف، از خانوادۀ آساف افتاد و قرعۀ دوم بنام جَدَلیا و پسران و برادران او که دوازده نفر می شدند.

¹⁰the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁰قرعۀ سوم بنام زَکور و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹¹the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹¹قرعۀ چهارم بنام یزری و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹²the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹²قرعۀ پنجم بنام نَتَنیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹³the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹³قرعۀ ششم بنام بُقَیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁴the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁴قرعۀ هفتم بنام یِشَرئیله و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁵the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁵قرعۀ هشتم بنام اشعیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁶the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁶قرعۀ نهم بنام مَتَنیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁷the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁷قرعۀ دهم بنام شِمعی و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁸the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁸قرعۀ یازدهم بنام عَزرئیل و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

¹⁹the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

¹⁹قرعۀ دوازدهم بنام حَشَبیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁰for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁰قرعۀ سیزدهم بنام شوبائیل و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²¹for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²¹قرعۀ چهاردهم بنام مَتتیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²²for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²²قرعۀ پانزدهم بنام یَریموت و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²³for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²³قرعۀ شانزدهم بنام حَنَنیا و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁴for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁴قرعۀ هفدهم بنام یُشبِقاشه و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁵for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁵قرعۀ هجدهم بنام حَنانی و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁶for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁶قرعۀ نوزدهم بنام مَلوتی و پسران برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁷for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁷قرعۀ بیستم بنام اِیلِیاتَه و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁸for the one and twentieth to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁸قرعۀ بیست و یکم بنام هوتیر و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

²⁹for the two and twentieth to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

²⁹قرعۀ بیست و دوم بنام جِدَلتی و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

³⁰for the three and twentieth to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve:

³⁰قرعۀ بیست و سوم بنام مَحزیوت و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.قرعۀ بیست و چهارم بنام رومَمتی عَزَر و پسران و برادران او، دوازده نفر.

³¹for the four and twentieth to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
