¹For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

¹از خانوادۀ قورَح که برای نگهبانی عبادتگاه تعیین شدند، اینها بودند: مَشَلمیا، یکی از اولادۀ آساف.

²Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

²پسران مَشَلمیا: اولی زِکَریا، دومی یَدیعئیل، سومی زَبَدیا، چهارمی یتن ئیل، پنجمی عیلام، ششمی یَهُوحانان، و هفتمی الیهو عینای بود.

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

³پسران عوبید ادوم: اولی شِمَعیه، دومی یَهُوزاباد، سومی یوآخ، چهارمی ساکار، پنجمی نتنئیل، ششمی عَمیئیل، هفتمی ایسَسکار و هشتمی فَعَلتای بود که خداوند او را با عطای فرزندان زیاد برکت داد.

⁴Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

⁴پسران شِمَعیه: آن ها رؤسای خانواده های خود و همگی مردان شجاع و جنگجو و عبارت بودند از: عُتنی، رَفائیل، عوبید، اَلزاباد، الیهو و سَمَکیا. الیهو و سَمَکیا شهرت و لیاقت زیادتری داشتند.

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

⁵همۀ اینها اولادۀ عوبید ادوم بودند. آن ها و پسران و برادران همه اشخاص کاردان و لایق بودند و تعداد شان به شصت و دو نفر می رسید.

⁶Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

⁶مَشَلمیا هم هجده نفر مردان لایق از پسران و برادران خود داشت.

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

⁷حوسه که از اولادۀ مَراری بود پسرانی داشت که شِمری رئیس شان بود. اگر چه او پسر اولی نبود، اما پدرش او را بحیث رئیس خانواده تعیین کرد.

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

⁸دومی حِلقیا، سومی طَبَلیا، چهارمی زکریا ـ تعداد پسران و برادران حوسه سیزده نفر بود.

⁹Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

⁹فرقۀ دروازه بانان بنام رهبران شان یاد می شدند و وظیفه ای مثل خویشاوندان خود داشتند.

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

¹⁰تمام خاندان ها چه کوچک و چه بزرگ به حکم قرعه به وظایف شان تعیین می شدند.

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹مسئولیت دروازۀ شرقی بدوش شلمیا و دستۀ او افتاد. قرعۀ دوم بنام پسرش، زکریا اصابت کرد. زکریا یک مشاور برجسته و دانا بود که برای نگهبانی دروازۀ شمالی به حکم قرعه انتخاب گردید.

¹²Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of Yahweh.

¹²عوبید ادوم و دسته اش مسئول دروازۀ جنوبی شدند و پسران عوبید ادوم در تحویلخانه ها وظیفه داشتند.

¹³They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.

¹³قرعۀ دروازۀ غربی و دروازۀ شَلَکَت، در جاده ای که بطرف بالا می رفت، بنام شفیم و حوسه اصابت کرد. وظیفۀ دروازه بانان به نوبت تعیین می شد.

¹⁴The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

¹⁴در سمت شرق شش نفر، بطرف شمال چهار نفر، بطرف جنوب چهار نفر و دو نفر هم هر روزه در هر دو تحویلخانه پهره می دادند

¹⁵To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

¹⁵و در سمت غرب، چهار نفر در جادۀ بالائی و دو نفر از خود حویلی مراقبت می کردند.

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch.

¹⁶اینها فرقۀ دروازه بانان بودند که از اولادۀ قورَح و مَراری انتخاب شده بودند.

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.

¹⁷یکنفر دیگر از خانوادۀ لاوی، اخیا بود که وظیفۀ امور خزانۀ عبادتگاه و تحویلخانۀ اشیائی را که برای خداوند وقف شده بودند، بعهده داشت.

¹⁸For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

¹⁸لادان، یکی از پسران جرشون، جد چند خانواده، بشمول خاندان پسرش، یحیئیل، بود.

¹⁹These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

¹⁹پسران یحیئیل: زیتام و برادرش، یوئیل مأمورین خزانۀ عبادتگاه خداوند بودند.

²⁰Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

²⁰شبوئیل یکی از اولادۀ جرشوم، پسر موسی، رئیس و آمر خانواده های عَمرامیان، یزهاریان، حِبرونی ها و عُزی ئیلیان بود.

²¹The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

²¹از خویشاوندان او که از خانوادۀ اَلِعازار بودند: سلسلۀ خانوادۀ اَلِعازار به این ترتیب بود: رَحَبیا، یشیه، یُورام، زِکری و شلومیت.

²²The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Yahweh.

²²شلومیت و برادرانش مسئولیت تمام تحویلخانه های اشیائی را که داود پادشاه برای خداوند وقف کرده بود، بعهده داشتند. اینها همچنین مسئول اخذ هدایائی بودند که از طرف سران خانواده، رهبران قبایل و فرماندهان نظامی وقف خدا می شدند.

²³Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

²³زیرا این اشخاص همه غنایمی را که در جنگها به دست آوردند برای پیشبرد امور عبادتگاه خداوند و حفظ مراقبت آن هدیه دادند.

²⁴and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

²⁴برعلاوه، شلومیت و برادرانش از تمام اشیائی که سموئیل نبی، شائول پادشاه پسر قَیس، آبنیر پسر نیر و یوآب پسر زِرویه وقف کرده بودند، مراقبت می کردند.

²⁵His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

²⁵از خانوادۀ یزهار کَنَنیا و پسرانش امور اداری، عدلی و قضائی مردم اسرائیل را بدوش داشتند.

²⁶This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

²⁶حَشَبیای حِبرونی و یکهزار و هفتصد نفر از قبیلۀ او که همه مردان کاردان و لایق بودند، امور مذهبی و دولتی را در غرب دریای اُردن اداره می کردند.از خانوادۀ حِبرونی ها، یریا بر دوهزار و هفتصد نفر از اشخاص برجستۀ حِبرونی ها ریاست داشت. این اشخاص ادارۀ امور مذهبی و دولتی قبایل رؤبین، جاد و نیم قبیلۀ مَنَسّی را بعهده داشتند. اینها همه مردان فوق العاده لایق، برحسب سلسلۀ نسبی و لیاقت شان در چهلمین سال سلطنت داود پادشاه از ناحیۀ یعزیر جِلعاد انتخاب شدند.

²⁷They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of Yahweh.

²⁷از خانوادۀ حِبرونی ها، یریا بر دوهزار و هفتصد نفر از اشخاص برجستۀ حِبرونی ها ریاست داشت. این اشخاص ادارۀ امور مذهبی و دولتی قبایل رؤبین، جاد و نیم قبیلۀ مَنَسّی را بعهده داشتند. اینها همه مردان فوق العاده لایق، برحسب سلسلۀ نسبی و لیاقت شان در چهلمین سال سلطنت داود پادشاه از ناحیۀ یعزیر جِلعاد انتخاب شدند.

²⁸All that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brothers.

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

³⁰Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Yahweh, and for the service of the king.

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

³²His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
