1Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don’t want you to be ignorant.
1و اما دربارۀ عطایای روح القدس، ای برادران، من نمی خواهم در این خصوص بی اطلاع باشید.
2You know that when you were heathen or Gentiles , you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.
2شما می دانید زمانی که هنوز خدا ناشناس بودید، به سوی بُتهای بی زبان کشیده می شدید و گمراه می گشتید.
3Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.
3پس باید بفهمید که اگر کسی تحت تأثیر روح خدا باشد، نمی تواند عیسی را لعن کند و کسی هم نمی تواند عیسی را خداوند بداند، مگر به وسیلۀ روح القدس.
4Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
4عطایای روحانی گوناگون است اما همۀ آن ها را یک روح می بخشد.
5There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.
5خدمات ما گوناگون است، اما تمام این خدمات برای یک خداوند است.
6There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.
6فعالیت های ما نیز مختلف است اما یک خداست که در همه عمل می کند.
7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.
7در هر فرد، روح خدا به نوعی خاص برای خیریت تمام مردم تجلی می کند.
8For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;
8مثلاً روح القدس به یکی بیان حکمت عطا می کند و به دیگری بیان معرفت.
9to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;
9به یکی ایمان می بخشد و به دیگری قدرت شفا دادن،
10and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.
10به یکی قدرت معجزه کردن و به دیگری قدرت پیشگویی و به سومی عطیۀ تشخیص ارواح عطا می کند. به یکی قدرت سخن گفتن به زبان ها و به دیگری قدرت ترجمۀ زبان ها را می بخشد.
11But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.
11اما کلیۀ این عطایا کار یک روح واحد است و او آن ها را مطابق ارادۀ خود به هر کس عطا می فرماید.
12For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
12بدن انسان، واحدی است که از اعضای بسیار تشکیل شده و اگرچه دارای اعضای متفاوت می باشد، بازهم بدن واحد است و مسیح هم همین طور می باشد.
13For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.
13پس همۀ ما خواه یهود، خواه یونانی، خواه برده، خواه آزاد به وسیلۀ یک روح در یک بدن تعمید یافته ایم و همه از همان روح پُر شده ایم تا از او بنوشیم.
14For the body is not one member, but many.
14بدن از یک عضو ساخته نشده، بلکه شامل اعضای بسیار است.
15If the foot would say, “Because I’m not the hand, I’m not part of the body,” it is not therefore not part of the body.
15اگر پا بگوید: «چون دست نیستم، به بدن تعلق ندارم،» آیا به خاطر این حرف، دیگر عضو بدن نیست؟
16If the ear would say, “Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body.
16یا اگر گوش بگوید: «به علت اینکه چشم نیستم، به بدن متعلق نیستم» آیا به این دلیل دیگر عضو بدن شمرده نمی شود؟
17If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?
17اگر تمام بدن چشم می بود، چگونه می توانست بشنود؟ و اگر تمام بدن گوش می بود، چگونه می توانست ببوید؟
18But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.
18در حقیقت خدا جای مناسبی را به همه اعضای بدن مطابق ارادۀ خود بخشیده است.
19If they were all one member, where would the body be?
19اگر تنها یک عضو می بود، بدنی وجود نمی داشت!
20But now they are many members, but one body.
20اما در واقع اعضا بسیار است، ولی بدن یکی است.
21The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.”
21پس چشم نمی تواند به دست بگوید: «محتاج تو نیستم.» یا سر نمی تواند به پا بگوید: «به تو احتیاج ندارم.»
22No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
22برعکس، اعضای که به ظاهر ضعیف اند وجود شان بیش از همه ضروری است؛
23Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant propriety;
23و اعضای را که پست می شماریم، با دقت بیشتری می پوشانیم و آن قسمت از اعضای بدن خود را که زیبا نیستند، با توجه خاصی می آرائیم،
24whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part,
24حال آنکه اعضای زیبای ما به چنین آرایشی احتیاج ندارد. بلی، خدا اعضای بدن را طوری به هم مربوط ساخته که به اعضای پست تر بدن اهمیت بیشتری داده می شود.
25that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
25تا به این ترتیب در بین اعضای بدن ناهماهنگی به وجود نیاید، بلکه تمام اعضا نسبت به یکدیگر توجه متقابل داشته باشند.
26When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
26اگر عضوی به درد آید، اعضای دیگر در درد آن عضو شریک هستند. همچنین اگر یکی از اعضا مورد تعریف واقع شود، اعضای دیگر نیز خوشحال خواهند بود.
27Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
27به این ترتیب، شما جمعاً بدن مسیح و فرداً فرد عضوی از اعضای بدن او هستید.
28God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.
28مقصودم این است که خدا در کلیسا اشخاص معینی را به شرح زیر قرار داده است: اول رسولان، دوم انبیاء، سوم معلمین و بعد از اینها معجزه کنندگان و شفا دهندگان و مددگاران و مدیران و آنانی که به زبان های مختلف سخن می گویند.
29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?
29آیا همه رسول یا نبی یا معلم هستند؟ آیا همه معجزه می کنند؟
30Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret?
30یا قدرت شفا دادن دارند؟ آیا همه به زبان ها سخن می گویند؟ یا همه زبان ها را ترجمه می کنند؟پس با شوق زیاد خواهان بهترین عطایا باشید و اکنون بهترین راه را به شما نشان خواهم داد.
31But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
31پس با شوق زیاد خواهان بهترین عطایا باشید و اکنون بهترین راه را به شما نشان خواهم داد.
