1Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat began Abijam to reign over Judah.
1در سال هجدهم سلطنت یَرُبعام، پسر نباط، ابیام پادشاه یهودا شد.
2He reigned three years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
2و مدت سه سال در اورشلیم پادشاهی کرد. نام مادرش مَعکه، دختر ابشالوم بود.
3He walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his God, as the heart of David his father.
3او همان راه خطا را که پدرش قبل از او پیش گرفته بود تعقیب کرد و دلش مانند جدش، داود نبود که نسبت به خداوند، خدایش راست باشد.
4Nevertheless for David’s sake, Yahweh his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem;
4باوجود آن خداوند، خدای او بخاطر داود برایش پسری عطا کرد تا جانشین او شود و چراغ او در اورشلیم روشن و حکومتش برقرار باشد،
5because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, and didn’t turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
5زیرا که داود مطابق رضای خداوند رفتار می کرد و در تمام عمر خود، به استثنای کار بدی که در حق اوریای حِتی کرد از هیچکدام امر خداوند سرپیچی ننمود.
6Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
6جنگی که بین رَحُبعام و یَرُبعام شروع شد تا آخر عمر ابیام هم دوام کرد.
7The rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
7بقیۀ وقایع دوران سلطنت ابیام و کارروائی های او و جنگ بین رَحُبعام و یَرُبعام همه در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان یهودا ثبت اند.
8Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his place.
8وقتی ابیام فوت کرد او را با اجدادش در شهر داود بخاک سپردند. بعد از او پسرش آسا جانشین او شد.
9In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Asa to reign over Judah.
9در سال بیستم حکومت یَرُبعام، پادشاه اسرائیل، آسا زمام دولت یهودا را به دست گرفت
10He reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
10و مدت چهل و یک سال در اورشلیم پادشاهی کرد. نام مادر کلان او معکه، دختر ابشالوم بود.
11Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, as did David his father.
11آسا مثل جد خود، داود کارهائی کرد که خداوند را خوشنود و راضی ساخت.
12He put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
12لواط گران را از آن سرزمین بیرون راند و بتهائی را که اجدادش ساخته بودند از بین بُرد.
13Also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
13او همچنان مادر خود، معکه را که ملکۀ کشور بود از مقامش خلع کرد، زیرا او بت اَشیره را ساخت و آسا آنرا شکست و در وادی قِدرون سوختاند.
14But the high places were not taken away: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with Yahweh all his days.
14گرچه معابد بالای تپه را خراب نکرد، اما بازهم در سراسر عمر خود ایمان راسخ به خداوند داشت.
15He brought into the house of Yahweh the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
15او همه چیزهائی را که خودش و پدرش وقف خداوند کرده بودند همراه با ظروف نقره و طلا به عبادتگاه خداوند آورد.
16There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
16جنگ بین آسا و بعشا، پادشاه اسرائیل در تمام دوران سلطنت شان دوام داشت.
17Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
17بعشا، پادشاه اسرائیل برای اینکه راهِ رفت و آمد به اورشلیم را قطع کند شروع بساختن شهر مستحکم رامه نمود.
18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and king Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,
18بعد آسا تمام نقره و طلای عبادتگاه خداوند و قصر شاه را به مأمورین خود داد که برای بنهدد، پسر طبرمون، نواسۀ حزیون، پادشاه ارام که در دمشق حکومت می کرد با این مضمون ببرد:
19“There is a treaty between me and you, between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
19«همانطوریکه پدران من و تو با هم متحد بودند بیا که ما هم دست اتفاق را بهم بدهیم. این تحفۀ نقره و طلا را از طرف من بپذیر و عهد و پیمانت را با بعشا، پادشاه اسرائیل قطع کن تا او اینجا را ترک کند و ما را آرام بگذارد.»
20Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Beth Maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
20بنهدد خواهش آسا را قبول کرد و سپاه خود را برای جنگ به شهرهای اسرائیل فرستاد و عیون، دان، آبل بیت معکه، تمامی کِنروت و همه سرزمین نفتالی را فتح کرد.
21It happened, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and lived in Tirzah.
21وقتی خبر حمله بگوش بعشا رسید از آبادی شهر رامه صرف نظر کرد و به تِرزه برگشت.
22Then king Asa made a proclamation to all Judah; none was exempted: and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and king Asa built therewith Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
22بعد آسا به تمام سرزمین یهودا اعلامیه ای صادر کرد که تمام مردم، بدون استثناء، همه سنگ و چوبی را که بعشا می خواست شهر رامه را با آن آباد کند بیاورند. آسا آن ها را برای آبادی جِبَع بنیامین و مِصفه به کار بُرد.
23Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
23بقیه وقایع دوران سلطنت آسا، شجاعت و همه کارهای دیگر او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان یهودا ثبت اند. آسا در زمان پیری به مرض پادردی مبتلا شد
24Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.
24و بعد از مدتی فوت کرد و در شهر جدش، داود، در جوار پدرانش دفن شد. پس از او پسرش، یهوشافاط به سلطنت رسید.
25Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years.
25در سال دوم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا ناداب، پسر یَرُبعام بر تخت سلطنت اسرائیل نشست.
26He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin.
26او آنچه را در نظر خداوند ناپسند بود، بجا می آورد و در راه پدر خود و در گناه او که اسرائیل را مرتکب گناه ساخته بود، قدم بر می داشت.
27Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha struck him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.
27بعشا، پسر اخیا که از خاندان ایسَسکار بود برضد ناداب شورش کرد و او را در جِبتون که با تمام سپاه اسرائیل آنرا محاصره کرده بود بقتل رساند.
28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha killed him, and reigned in his place.
28قتل ناداب در سال سوم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه اسرائیل رُخداد و بعشا بعوض او زمام حکومت را در دست گرفت.
29It happened that, as soon as he was king, he struck all the house of Jeroboam: he didn’t leave to Jeroboam any who breathed, until he had destroyed him; according to the saying of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite;
29بمجردیکه بعشا پادشاه شد تمام خاندان یَرُبعام را بقتل رساند و هیچ زنده جانی را برای او زنده نگذاشت. قراریکه خداوند به بندۀ خود اخیای شیلونی در شیلوه فرموده بود همۀ خاندان یَرُبعام از بین رفتند ـ
30for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and with which he made Israel to sin, because of his provocation with which he provoked Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger.
30بخاطر گناهانیکه یَرُبعام مرتکب شد و سبب گردید که مردم اسرائیل دست بگناه بزنند، خداوند، خدای اسرائیل خشمگین شد.
31Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
31سایر وقایع زمان حکومت ناداب و همه کارهای او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل نوشته شده اند.
32There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
32و جنگ بین آسا و بعشا در تمام دوران سلطنت شان دوام داشت.
33In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel in Tirzah for twenty-four years.
33در سال سوم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا، بعشا، پسر اخیا بر تمام خاک اسرائیل شروع به سلطنت کرد و مدت بیست و چهار سال در تِرزه پادشاه بود.او آنچه را در نظر خداوند ناپسند بود، بجا می آورد و در راه یَرُبعام و در گناه او که اسرائیل را مرتکب گناه ساخته بود، قدم بر می داشت.
34He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin.
34او آنچه را در نظر خداوند ناپسند بود، بجا می آورد و در راه یَرُبعام و در گناه او که اسرائیل را مرتکب گناه ساخته بود، قدم بر می داشت.
