¹The word of Yahweh came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

¹پیام خداوند که حاوی محکومیت بعشا بود به ییهُو، پسر حنانی رسید که فرمود:

²“Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

²«من ترا از خاک برداشتم و بعنوان پیشوای قوم برگزیدۀ خود، اسرائیل ساختم، اما تو راه یَرُبعام را پیش گرفتی و باعث شدی که مردم اسرائیل مرتکب گناه شوند و خشم مرا برافروختی.

³behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

³پس من ترا و خاندانت را از بین می برم و آن بلائی را که بر سر خانوادۀ یَرُبعام آوردم بر سر فامیل تو هم می آورم.

⁴The dogs will eat Baasha’s descendants who die in the city; and he who dies of his in the field the birds of the sky will eat.”

⁴هر کسیکه از متعلقین یَرُبعام باشد و اگر در شهر بمیرد خوراک سگها و اگر در صحرا بمیرد طعمۀ مرغان هوا می شود.»

⁵Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

⁵بقیۀ وقایع دوران حکومت بعشا و همه کارروائی ها و اقتدار او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل ثبت اند.

⁶Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his place.

⁶وقتی بعشا فوت کرد او را با اجدادش در تِرزه بخاک سپردند و پسرش، اِیله جانشین او شد.

⁷Moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Yahweh against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.

⁷برعلاوه پیام خداوند در مورد بعشا و خاندانش به یِیهُوی نبی، پسر حنانی آمد که چون بعشا با اعمال زشت خود خداوند را ناراضی و خشمگین ساخت و از کارهای بد یَرُبعام پیروی کرد و هم به سببیکه تمام خاندان یَرُبعام را بقتل رساند باید کشته شود.

⁸In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.

⁸در سال بیست و ششم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا، اِیله، پسر بعشا در تِرزه پادشاه اسرائیل شد و مدت دو سال سلطنت کرد.

⁹His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:

⁹بعد زِمری، یکی از افسران نظامی او که قوماندان نصف عراده هایش بود برضد او توطئه کرد. یکروز که اِیله پادشاه، در خانۀ ارصا، ناظر قصر شاهی در تِرزه شراب می خورد و نشئه می کرد،

¹⁰and Zimri went in and struck him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.

¹⁰زِمری به آن خانه داخل شد و او را کشت. این واقعه در سال بیست و هفتم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا رُخداد و زِمری خودش پادشاه شد.

¹¹It happened, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasha: he didn’t leave him a single one who urinates on a wall, or, male neither of his relatives, nor of his friends.

¹¹وقتی زِمری به حکومت شروع کرد و بر تخت سلطنت اسرائیل نشست، تمام خانوادۀ بعشا را کُشت، چنانچه هیچیک از افراد ذکورِ خویشاوندان و دوستان او را زنده نگذاشت.

¹²Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,

¹²به این ترتیب زِمری تمام فامیل بعشا را قراریکه خداوند به ییهُو فرموده بود هلاک کرد،

¹³for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and with which they made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

¹³زیرا که بعشا و پسرش، اِیله گناه کردند و بخاطر بت پرستی خشم خداوند، خدای اسرائیل را برانگیختند.

¹⁴Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

¹⁴بقیۀ وقایع دوران سلطنت اِیله و همه کارروائی های او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل ثبت اند.

¹⁵In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

¹⁵در سال بیست و هفتم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا، زِمری فقط هفت روز در تِرزه پادشاهی کرد،

¹⁶The people who were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also struck the king: therefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.

¹⁶در اینوقت سپاه اسرائیل شهر جِبتون را که متعلق به فلسطینی ها بود، محاصره کرده بودند. وقتی شنیدند که زِمری با توطئه ای شاه را بقتل رسانده است، تصمیم گرفتند که عُمری سپهسالار لشکر اسرائیل را در همانروز در اردوگاه به پادشاهی انتخاب کنند.

¹⁷Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

¹⁷پس عُمری با سپاه اسرائیل از جِبتون به تِرزه رفت و آنرا محاصره کرد.

¹⁸It happened, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,

¹⁸وقتی زِمری دید که شهر به دست دشمن اش افتاده است به قصر شاه رفت و آنرا بر سر خود آتش زد و مُرد

¹⁹for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

¹⁹ـ بخاطریکه گناه کرد و کارهائی از او سر زد که در نظر خداوند زشت بود. راه و روش یَرُبعام را در پیش گرفت و باعث شد که مردم اسرائیل مرتکب گناه شوند

²⁰Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he committed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²⁰بقیه فعالیتهای زِمری و توطئه ای که کرد همه در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل ثبت اند.

²¹Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.

²¹بعد مردم اسرائیل به دو دسته تقسیم شدند. یکدسته پیرو تِبنی، پسر جینَت شدند و دستۀ دیگر تابعیت عُمری را اختیار کردند.

²²But the people who followed Omri prevailed against the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

²²پیروان عُمری بر پیروان تِبنی غالب شدند. تِبنی مُرد و عُمری پادشاه شد.

²³In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel for twelve years. He reigned six years in Tirzah.

²³در سال سی و یکم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا، عُمری به پادشاهی رسید و مدت دوازده سال که شش سال آن در تِرزه بود پادشاهی کرد.

²⁴He bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.

²⁴بعد عُمری کوه سامره را از سامِر به قیمت هفتاد کیلو نقره خرید و بالای آن کوه شهری را آباد کرد و آنرا سامره بنام صاحب آن، یعنی سامِر نامید.

²⁵Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and dealt wickedly above all who were before him.

²⁵عُمری کارهای زشتی کرد که خداوند را ناراضی ساخت و از همه کسانی که پیش از او بودند زیادتر شرارت ورزید.

²⁶For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

²⁶راه و روش یَرُبعام، پسر نباط را در پیش گرفت، باعث شد که مردم اسرائیل مرتکب گناه شوند و بخاطر بت پرستی آتش خشم خداوند را برافروخت.

²⁷Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²⁷بقیۀ وقایع دوران سلطنت عُمری و قدرتی که بخرج داد همه در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل نوشته شده اند.

²⁸So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his place.

²⁸وقتی عُمری فوت کرد، او را در سامره دفن کردند. پسرش، اخاب جانشین او شد.

²⁹In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

²⁹در سال سی و هشتم سلطنت آسا، پادشاه یهودا، اخاب، پسر عُمری پادشاه بنی اسرائیل شد و مدت بیست و دو سال در سامره بر مردم اسرائیل پادشاهی کرد.

³⁰Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh above all that were before him.

³⁰اما اخاب بیشتر از گذشتگان خود مرتکب اعمال زشت شد که مورد پسند خداوند نبود.

³¹It happened, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him.

³¹او از کارهای زشتی که یَرُبعام، پسر نباط کرد پا فراتر گذاشت، یعنی با ایزابل، دختر اِتبَعل، پادشاه صیدون هم ازدواج نمود و بعل را پرستش و سجده کرد.

³²He reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

³²او یک معبدی و یک قربانگاه برای بعل در سامره آباد کرد.

³³Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.

³³بعد تمثال بت اَشیره را ساخت و کارهائی کرد که پیش از او کسی دیگر نکرده بود و خشم خداوند را زیادتر ساخت.در زمان سلطنت اخاب، حیئیل بیت ئیلی شهر اریحا را آباد کرد. وقتی او تهداب آنرا گذاشت ابیرام، پسر اول او مُرد و هنگامی که دروازه های آنرا نشاند سَجوب، کوچکترین پسرش مُرد. این واقعه پیشگوئی خداوند بود که بوسیلۀ یوشع پسر نون اعلان کرد.

³⁴In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho: he laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

³⁴در زمان سلطنت اخاب، حیئیل بیت ئیلی شهر اریحا را آباد کرد. وقتی او تهداب آنرا گذاشت ابیرام، پسر اول او مُرد و هنگامی که دروازه های آنرا نشاند سَجوب، کوچکترین پسرش مُرد. این واقعه پیشگوئی خداوند بود که بوسیلۀ یوشع پسر نون اعلان کرد.
