1It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yahweh.
1چهار صد و هشتاد سال بعد از خروج قوم اسرائیل از مصر و در سال چهارم سلطنت خود، سلیمان پادشاه در ماه زیو، یعنی در ماه دوم سال، به ساختمان عبادتگاه خداوند شروع کرد.
2The house which king Solomon built for Yahweh, its length was sixty cubits, and its breadth twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
2طول عبادتگاهی که سلیمان برای خداوند ساخت سی متر، عرض آن ده متر و بلندی آن پانزده متر بود.
3The porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was its length, according to the breadth of the house. Ten cubits was its breadth before the house.
3طول بَرَندۀ پیشروی عبادتگاه، مساوی به عرض عبادتگاه، یعنی ده متر و عرض آن پنج متر بود.
4For the house he made windows of fixed lattice work.
4او همچنان کلکین های شبکه دار برای عبادتگاه ساخت.
5Against the wall of the house he built stories all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side rooms all around.
5در مقابل دیوارهای خارجی، در پهلو و پشت سر عبادتگاه یک ساختمان پیوست شدۀ سه طبقه ای با اطاقهای متعدد بنا کرد.
6The nethermost story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.
6عرض طبقۀ اول دو و نیم متر، از طبقۀ دوم سه متر و از طبقۀ سوم سه و نیم متر بود. به دورادور عبادتگاه پشته های ساخت تا تیرهای سرو به دیوار عبادتگاه فرو نروند.
7The house, when it was in building, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
7سنگهای ساختمان عبادتگاه همه در معدن تهیه و تراشیده شده بودند که در وقت بنای عبادتگاه صدای چکش و تیشه و دیگر ابزار آهنی شنیده نمی شد.
8The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.
8راه دخول طبقۀ اول در سمت جنوب عبادتگاه بود. از آنجا ذریعۀ زینۀ پیچ در پیچ به طبقۀ دوم و بعد به طبقۀ سوم می رفت.
9So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
9به این ترتیب بنای عبادتگاه را تمام کرد و سقف آنرا با تیرها و تخته های سرو پوشاند.
10He built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
10آن ساختمان پیوست شدۀ سه طبقه ای را که بلندی هر طبقۀ آن دو و نیم متر بود، مقابل دیوار خارجی عبادتگاه بطوری ساخت که ذریعۀ تیرهای سرو به دیوار عبادتگاه چسپیده بودند.
11The word of Yahweh came to Solomon, saying,
11خداوند پیامی به سلیمان فرستاده فرمود: «اگر فرایض و احکام مرا بجا آوری و از تمام اوامر من پیروی نمائی و مطابق آن ها رفتار کنی، آنوقت وعده ای را که به پدرت، داود دادم بوسیلۀ تو عملی می سازم.
12“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.
12در بین بنی اسرائیل و در این عبادتگاهی که تو می سازی سکونت می کنم و قوم برگزیدۀ خود، اسرائیل را از یاد نمی برم.»
13I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”
13پس سلیمان عبادتگاه را آباد و تکمیل کرد.
14So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
14دیوارهای آنرا از صحن تا سقف، از طرف داخل با تخته های سرو پوش نمود و زمین آنرا با تخته های صنوبر فرش کرد.
15He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.
15در پشت عبادتگاه یک اطاق ده متره ساخت که از زمین تا سقف آن با تخته های سرو پوش شده بود و بنام قدس الاقداس یا مقدسترین جایگاه یاد می شود.
16He built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.
16طول تمام عبادتگاه، بغیر از قدس الاقداس بیست متر بود.
17In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits.
17تخته های سرو داخل عبادتگاه به شکل کدو ها و گلهای شگفته حکاکی شده بودند که سنگهای دیوارها دیده نمی شدند.
18There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
18در قدس الاقداس عبادتگاه صندوق پیمان خداوند را قرار داد.
19He prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.
19قدس الاقداس بشکل مکعب، یعنی طول آن ده متر، عرض آن ده متر و بلندی آن هم ده متر بود و با طلای خالص ورق شانی شده بود. برای پوشش قربانگاه هم از چوب سرو استفاده نمود.
20Within the oracle was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar.
20سلیمان داخل عبادتگاه را با طلای خالص ورق شانی کرد و در برابر در ورودی قدس الاقداس زنجیرهای طلائی نصب نمود.
21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
21قسمت داخلی عبادتگاه و همچنین قربانگاه و مقدسترین جایگاه را با طلای خالص ورق شانی کرد.
22The whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.
22در مقدسترین جایگاه دو کروب، یعنی فرشتۀ مقرب، از چوب زیتون ساخت که هر کدام پنج متر بلندی داشت.
23In the oracle he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
23هردو کروب یک شکل و یک اندازه داشتند. طول بال هر کدام دو و نیم متر بود. از نوک یک بال تا نوک بال دیگر آن پنج متر بود.
24Five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
24این دو کروب را پهلو به پهلو در مقدسترین جایگاه قرار داد که بال یک کروب به یک دیوار و بال کروب دیگر به دیوار مقابل و دو بال دیگر شان در وسط اطاق با هم تماس داشتند.
25The other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
25هردو کروب با طلا ورق شانی شده بودند.
26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
26دیوارهای دورادور هردو اطاق عبادتگاه را با نقش های کروب، درختان خرما و گلهای شگفته حکاکی کرد.
27He set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
27و زمین هردو اطاق داخلی و خارجی را با طلا ورق شانی نمود.
28He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
28دروازه های دخول مقدسترین جایگاه را از چوب زیتون ساخت. سر و چوکات دروازه شکل پنج ضلعی داشتند.
29He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside.
29هردو دروازه را با نقش های کروب، درخت خرما و گلهای شگفته حکاکی و آن ها را با طلا ورق شانی کرد.
30The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.
30دروازۀ دخول عبادتگاه را از چوب زیتون بشکل مستطیل ساخت.
31For the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
31همچنین دو دروازه از چوب صنوبر و هر کدام از دو تخته که دولا می شدند ساخت
32So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the cherubim, and on the palm trees.
32و آن ها را با نقش های کروب، درخت خرما و گلهای شگفته تزئین و ورق شانی کرد.
33So also made he for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall;
33به دورادور صحن داخل عبادتگاه دیواری بود که از سه لایه سنگهای تراشیده و یک لایه چوب سرو ساخته شده بود.
34and two doors of fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
34در ماه دوم سال چهارم سلطنت سلیمان تهداب عبادتگاه خداوند نهاده شدو در سال یازدهم پادشاهی او، در اول ماه بول، یعنی در ماه هشتم سال با تمام خصوصیات و لوازم آن تکمیل شد و ساختمان آن مدت هفت سال را در بر گرفت.
35He carved cherubim and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
35و در سال یازدهم پادشاهی او، در اول ماه بول، یعنی در ماه هشتم سال با تمام خصوصیات و لوازم آن تکمیل شد و ساختمان آن مدت هفت سال را در بر گرفت.
36He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams.
37In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of Yahweh laid, in the month Ziv.
38In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its fashion. So was he seven years in building it.
