1Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the name of Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
1سلیمان تصمیم گرفت تا عبادتگاهی بنام خداوند و یک قصر شاهی برای خود آباد کند.
2Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, and eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
2پس برای این منظور هفتاد هزار نفر را جهت حمل مصالح تعمیراتی، هشتاد هزار نفر را برای سنگتراشی در معدن سنگ و سه هزار و ششصد نفر را هم بغرض مراقبت و نظارت کارهای کارگران تعیین کرد.
3Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
3بعد این پیام را به حورام، پادشاه صور فرستاد: «همانطوریکه برای پدرم، داود چوب سرو مورد ضرورت ساختمان قصر او را برایش فرستادی، برای من هم ارسال کن.
4Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.
4زیرا می خواهم عبادتگاهی برای اسم خداوند، خدای خود آباد کنم. آن بنا یک ساختمان مقدس خواهد بود که در آنجا خوشبوئی دود می کنیم، نان مخصوص را همیشه و قربانی های سوختنی را در هر صبح و شام، در روزهای سَبَت، در ماه نو و دیگر روزهای تقدیس شدۀ خداوند، خدای خود تقدیم می کنیم. این مراسم برای اسرائیل یک فریضۀ ابدی است از جانب خداوند.
5“The house which I build is great; for our God is great above all gods.
5عبادتگاهی که من می خواهم آباد کنم یک عبادتگاه بزرگی خواهد بود، زیرا خدای ما از همه خدایان دیگر با عظمت تر است.
6But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?
6اما چه کسی می تواند عبادتگاهی برای او بنا کند؟ زیرا که آسمان با همه پهنا و بزرگی آن گنجایش او را ندارد، پس من چطور می توانم عبادتگاه او را بسازم؟ من فقط قربانگاهی جهت دود کردن خوشبوئی برای او می سازم.
7“Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
7بنابران، از تو خواهش می کنم تا شخصی را برای من بفرستی که در کارهای طلا، نقره، برنج و آهن و بافتن پارچه های ارغوانی، سرخ و لاجوردی مهارت داشته باشد، و همچنین به کسانی که در فن نقاشی و حکاکی آشنا باشند، احتیاج است تا با کارگران ما که در یَهُودا و اورشلیم هستند و پدرم، داود آن ها را تعیین کرده بود یکجا کار کنند.
8“Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon; for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon: and behold, my servants shall be with your servants,
8علاوتاً چوب سرو، صنوبر و صندل را هم از لبنان برایم بفرست، زیرا می دانم که کارگران تو در بریدن چوب و فن نجاری ماهر هستند و من کارگران خود را برای کمک آن ها می فرستم.
9even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build shall be great and wonderful.
9ما به یک اندازۀ زیاد چوب ضرورت داریم، چون عبادتگاهی را که می خواهم آباد کنم بسیار بزرگ و بی نظیر خواهد بود.
10Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
10و من به کارگرانی که چوب را می بُرند، دو هزار تُن گندم، دو هزار تُن جَو، چهارصد هزار لیتر شراب و چهارصد هزار لیتر روغن می دهم.»
11Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
11حورام، پادشاه صور، در جواب او نامه ای به این مضمون نوشت: «از آنجا که خداوند به قوم برگزیدۀ خود محبت دارد، ترا بعنوان پادشاه شان انتخاب کرد،
12Huram continued, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
12سپاس باد بر خداوند، خدای اسرائیل که آسمان و زمین را آفرید و به داود پادشاه چنین پسر حکیم، دانا و بامعرفت عطا فرمود تا عبادتگاهی برای خداوند و قصری برای خود آباد کند.
13Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, of Huram my father’s,
13اینک حورام آبی را که یک شخص ماهر و استاد با هنر است بخدمتت می فرستم.
14the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving, and to devise any device; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
14مادر او از مردم دان و پدرش از باشندگان صور است. او در کارهای طلا، نقره، برنج، آهن، سنگ و چوب و همچنین در رشتۀ بافندگی پارچه های کتان نفیس ارغوانی، سرخ و لاجوردی و در فن نقاشی، حکاکی و طراحی مهارت بسزائی دارد. او می تواند با کارگران تو و آقای من، پدرت داود پادشاه همکاری کند.
15“Now therefore the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants:
15در بارۀ گندم، جو، شراب و روغن که آقای من پیشنهاد کرد، می تواند آن ها را برای من بفرستد.
16and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you shall need; and we will bring it to you in floats by sea to Joppa; and you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”
16من چوب مورد ضرورت را از کوههای لبنان قطع کرده، آنها را به هم پیوسته از طرف دریا به بندر یافا می فرستم و کارگران شما آنرا از آنجا گرفته به اورشلیم نقل بدهند.»
17Solomon numbered all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering with which David his father had numbered them; and they were found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
17بعد سلیمان احصائیۀ بیگانگانی را که در سرزمین اسرائیل زندگی می کردند (مطابق احصائیه ایکه قبلاً پدرش، داود گرفته بود) گرفت و معلوم شد که تعداد آن ها یکصد و پنجاه و سه هزار و ششصد نفر بود.از آن جمله هفتاد هزار نفر را برای حمل مواد تعمیراتی، هشتاد هزار نفر را در معدن کوهستان و سه هزار و ششصد نفر را برای مراقبت و نظارت کار کارگران تعیین کرد.
18He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred overseers to set the people at work.
18از آن جمله هفتاد هزار نفر را برای حمل مواد تعمیراتی، هشتاد هزار نفر را در معدن کوهستان و سه هزار و ششصد نفر را برای مراقبت و نظارت کار کارگران تعیین کرد.
