1At the end of every seven years you shall make a release.
1در اخیر هر هفت سال تمام قرض هائی را که بالای مردم دارید ببخشید.
2This is the way of the release: every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother; because Yahweh’s release has been proclaimed.
2هر کسی که بالای برادر اسرائیلی خود قرضی داشته باشد از آن صرف نظر کند و نباید قرضی را که داده است پس بگیرد، زیرا خود خداوند این قرض را لغو کرده است.
3Of a foreigner you may exact it: but whatever of your is with your brother your hand shall release.
3اگر یک نفر بیگانه از شما قرضدار باشد می توانید قرض خود را پس بگیرید، اما هرگاه کسی از قوم خودتان از شما مقروض باشد نباید آنرا مطالبه کنید.
4However there shall be no poor with you; (for Yahweh will surely bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it;)
4پس در بین شما هیچ کسی نباید به چیزی محتاج باشد، زیرا که خداوند، خدای تان شما را در سرزمینی که به شما می بخشد از همه چیز بی نیاز می سازد،
5if only you diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command you this day.
5ولی بشرطی که از خداوند، خدای تان اطاعت کنید و احکام او را که امروز به شما می دهم از دل و جان بجا آورید.
6For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you: and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.
6خداوند قراریکه وعده فرموده است به شما برکت می دهد، چندانکه می توانید به اقوام دیگر قرض بدهید، اما شما احتیاجی نمی داشته باشید که از کسی قرض بگیرید. شما بر بسا اقوام حکمرانی می کنید، ولی آن ها بر شما حکومت نمی کنند.
7If a poor man, one of your brothers, is with you within any of your gates in your land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother;
7اگر یکی از برادران اسرائیلی تان در سرزمینی که خداوند، خدای تان به شما می دهد فقیر و محتاج باشد، باید در حق او دست و دل باز باشید
8but you shall surely open your hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, which he lacks.
8و از روی میل و سخاوت مطابق احتیاجش به او قرض بدهید.
9Beware that there not be a base thought in your heart, saying, “The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand”; and your eye be evil against your poor brother, and you give him nothing; and he cry to Yahweh against you, and it be sin to you.
9اما احتیاط کنید این فکر بد را در دل خود راه ندهید که سال هفتم که سال بخشیدن قرض است بزودی فرا می رسد، بنابران از دادن قرض خودداری کنید و شخص محتاج از تو بحضور خداوند شکایت کند. این عملت گناه محسوب می شود.
10You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him; because that for this thing Yahweh your God will bless you in all your work, and in all that you put your hand to.
10پس، بخشش تان باید از روی میل و رغبت باشد و به این طریق خداوند، خدای تان در هر کاری که می کنید به شما زیادتر برکت می دهد.
11For the poor will never cease out of the land: therefore I command you, saying, You shall surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land.
11چون همیشه اشخاص فقیر و محتاج در بین شما وجود می داشته باشد، بنابران به شما امر می کنم که با دست باز به برادر فقیر و مسکین خود کمک کنید.
12If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you, and serves you six years; then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you.
12هرگاه یک برادر یا خواهر یهودی تان را بخرید، پس از شش سال خدمت، در سال هفتم باید او را آزاد کنید.
13When you let him go free from you, you shall not let him go empty:
13بعد از آنکه غلام تان را آزاد کردید، او را دست خالی نفرستید،
14you shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, and out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress; as Yahweh your God has blessed you, you shall give to him.
14بلکه تحفه ای از گله، غله و شراب خود به تناسب برکتی که خداوند، خدای تان به شما داده است به او بدهید.
15You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you: therefore I command you this thing today.
15فراموش نکنید که شما هم در مصر غلام بودید و خداوند، خدای تان شما را آزاد کرد و از همین لحاظ است که امروز این فرمان را به شما می دهم.
16It shall be, if he tells you, “I will not go out from you”; because he loves you and your house, because he is well with you;
16اما اگر غلام خواهش رفتن را نداشته باشد و بگوید که شما و فامیل تان را دوست دارد و از بودن با شما خوش است،
17then you shall take an awl, and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also to your female servant you shall do likewise.
17آنگاه او را به دَم دروازه بُرده گوش او را با درفشی سوراخ کنید و بعد از آن او برای همیشه غلام تان می باشد. با کنیز تان نیز به این ترتیب رفتار کنید.
18It shall not seem hard to you, when you let him go free from you; for to the double of the hire of a hireling has he served you six years: and Yahweh your God will bless you in all that you do.
18وقتی غلامی را آزاد می کنید غمگین نباشید، زیرا مدت شش سال برابر به نیم مزد یک کارگر خدمت شما را کرده است و بخاطر این عمل تان خداوند، خدای شما در هر کاری به شما برکت می دهد.
19All the firstborn males that are born of your herd and of your flock you shall sanctify to Yahweh your God: you shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.
19همه اولباری های نر گله و رمۀ خود را وقف خداوند، خدای تان کنید و شما نباید از آن ها کار بگیرید و یا پشم آن ها را بچینید.
20You shall eat it before Yahweh your God year by year in the place which Yahweh shall choose, you and your household.
20شما می توانید گوشت آن ها را هر ساله با خانوادۀ خود در حضور خداوند، خدای تان در جائی که او تعیین می کند، بخورید.
21If it has any blemish, is lame or blind, or has any defect whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to Yahweh your God.
21اما اگر حیوان معیوب بوده، لنگ یا کور باشد آن را نباید برای خداوند، خدای تان قربانی کنید.
22You shall eat it within your gates: the unclean and the clean shall eat it alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.
22آن را می توانید در خانۀ خود بخورید و هر کسی که نجس هم باشد از آن خورده می تواند، همانطوریکه گوشت غزال یا آهو را می خورد.اما خون آن را نباید بخورید، بلکه آن را مثل آب بر زمین بریزید.
23Only you shall not eat its blood; you shall pour it out on the ground as water.
