1Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.
1آنگاه موسی و ریش سفیدان اسرائیل احکام ذیل را به مردم دادند و به آن ها توصیه کردند که همه را بجا آورند:
2It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:
2«در همان روزی که از دریای اُردن عبور کردید و به سرزمین موعود که در آن شیر و عسل جاری است وارد شدید، سنگهای بزرگی را بردارید، روی آنرا با گچ پوشانیده و آنرا بعنوان یادگار در آن طرف دریای اُردن بر کوه عیبال قرار دهید و احکام خداوند را که من امروز به شما ابلاغ می کنم بنویسید.
3and you shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over; that you may go in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
3در آنجا یک قربانگاه از سنگهای ناتراشیده که آلات آهنی بر آن ها نخورده باشد، برای خداوند، خدای تان بسازید و قربانی های سوختنی برای خداوند، خدای تان تقدیم کنید.
4It shall be, when you have passed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in Mount Ebal, and you shall plaster them with plaster.
4همچنین قربانی های سلامتی را هم بالای آن ذبح کرده بخورید و در حضور خداوند، خدای تان جشن خوشی را برپا کنید.
5There you shall build an altar to Yahweh your God, an altar of stones: you shall lift up no iron on them.
5احکام خدا را با خط روشن و واضح بر آن سنگها بنویسید.»
6You shall build the altar of Yahweh your God of uncut stones; and you shall offer burnt offerings thereon to Yahweh your God:
6بعد موسی و کاهنان لاوی خطاب به مردم کرده گفتند: «ای قوم اسرائیل، توجه کنید و بشنوید! امروز شما قوم خداوند، خدای تان شدید.
7and you shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there; and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God.
7پس از خداوند، خدای تان اطاعت کنید و احکام و قوانین او را که امروز به شما می دهم بجا آورید.»
8You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.”
8در همان روز موسی این احکام را به قوم داد:
9Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, “Keep silence, and listen, Israel: this day you have become the people of Yahweh your God.
9«وقتی از دریای اُردن عبور کردید، قبایل شمعون، لاوی، یهودا، ایسَسکار، یوسف و بنیامین بالای کوه جَرزِیم بایستند و برکات را اعلام کنند.
10You shall therefore obey the voice of Yahweh your God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.”
10قبایل رؤبین، جاد، اَشیر، زبولون، دان و نفتالی بر کوه عیبال بایستند و لعنت ها را بیان کنند.
11Moses commanded the people the same day, saying,
11آنگاه لاویان با آواز بلند به تمام قوم اسرائیل خطاب کرده بگویند:
12“These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
12«لعنت بر آن کسی که بتی از سنگ، چوب و یا فلز بسازد و مخفیانه آن را پرستش کند خداوند از بتپرستی نفرت دارد.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
13These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
13«لعنت بر آن کسی که به والدین خود بی احترامی کند.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
14The Levites shall answer, and tell all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
14«لعنت بر آن کسی که حدود بین زمین خود و همسایه را تغییر بدهد.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
15‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’
15«لعنت بر آن کسی که شخص نابینائی را از راه منحرف سازد.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
16‘Cursed is he who sets light by his father or his mother.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
16«لعنت بر آن کسی که حق بیگانگان، یتیمان و بیوه زنان را تلف کند.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
17‘Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
17«لعنت بر آن کسی که با زن پدر خود همبستر شود، زیرا به پدر خود بی حرمتی کرده است.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
18‘Cursed is he who makes the blind to wander out of the way.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
18«لعنت بر آن کسی که با حیوانی رابطۀ جنسی داشته باشد.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
19‘Cursed is he who the foreigner, fatherless, and widow of justice.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
19«لعنت بر آن کسی که با خواهر خود، چه سَکه و چه اندر، همبستر شود.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
20‘Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s skirt.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
20«لعنت بر آن کسی که با خشوی خود همبستر شود.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
21‘Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
21«لعنت بر آن کسی که مخفیانه مرتکب قتل شود.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
22‘Cursed is he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
22«لعنت بر آن کسی که رشوه بگیرد و خون بیگناهی را بریزد.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»«لعنت بر آن کسی که از احکام و قوانین خداوند اطاعت نکند.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
23‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
23«لعنت بر آن کسی که از احکام و قوانین خداوند اطاعت نکند.» همۀ مردم بگویند: «آمین!»
24‘Cursed is he who strikes his neighbor in secret.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
25‘Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
26‘Cursed is he who doesn’t confirm the words of this law to do them.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”
