1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan,
1آنگاه موسی از دشتهای موآب به قلۀ فِسجه در کوه نِبو که در مقابل اریحا است، رفت و خداوند تمام سرزمین موعود را از جلعاد تا دان،
2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the hinder sea,
2همۀ سرزمین نفتالی، نواحی مربوط قبایل افرایم، مَنَسّی و یهودا تا بحر مدیترانه،
3and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.
3قسمت جنوبی یهودا و تمام ساحۀ درۀ اریحا (شهر درختان خرما) تا صوغر، به او نشان داد.
4Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
4بعد خداوند به موسی فرمود: «این است آن سرزمینی که من به ابراهیم، اسحاق و یعقوب وعده داده بودم که به اولادۀ شان می دهم. من به تو اجازه دادم که آن را بچشمت ببینی، اما به آنجا نمی روی.»
5So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Yahweh.
5پس موسی، خدمتگار خداوند، چنانچه خداوند فرموده بود، در سرزمین موآب وفات یافت.
6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth Peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day.
6خداوند او را در دره ای، در نزدیکی بیت فِعور در سرزمین موآب دفن کرد، اما تا به امروز هیچ کسی نمی داند که قبر او در کجا است.
7Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
7موسی در سن یکصد و بیست سالگی درگذشت. با وجود آن هنوز قوی و چشمانش بخوبی می دید.
8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.
8مردم اسرائیل مدت سی روز در دشتهای موآب برای او ماتم گرفتند.
9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: and the children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
9یوشع، پسر نون پُر از روح حکمت بود، زیرا موسی دستهای خود را بر او نهاده بود و قوم اسرائیل از او اطاعت می کردند و از احکامی که خداوند به موسی داده بود پیروی می نمودند.
10There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
10در اسرائیل هیچگاهی پیغمبری مثل موسی نبوده است که با خداوند روبرو صحبت کرده باشد.
11in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
11موسی به فرمان خداوند معجزات بزرگی در حضور فرعون و مأمورینش و تمام مردم، در مصر نشان داد.هیچ پیغمبری نتوانسته است که مانند موسی قدرت و معجزات عظیمی را در حضور قوم اسرائیل اجراء کند.
12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses worked in the sight of all Israel.
