1Moreover the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of Yahweh’s house, which looks eastward: and see, at the door of the gate twenty-five men; and I saw in their midst Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
1بعد روح خدا مرا برداشت و به دروازۀ شرقی عبادتگاه آورد. در آنجا بیست و پنج مرد بشمول دو نفر از رهبران قوم، یعنی یازَنیا (پسر عزور) و فِلتیا (پسر بنایا) حضور داشتند.
2He said to me, Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who give wicked counsel in this city;
2خداوند به من فرمود: «ای انسان خاکی، اینها کسانی هستند که در این شهر نقشه های فاسد می کشند و مشوره های غلط به مردم می دهند.
3who say, The time is not near to build houses: this is the caldron, and we are the meat.
3اینها می گویند: «وقت آن رسیده است که اورشلیم را دوباره آباد کنیم، زیرا شهر ما مثل یک سپر آهنین ما را از هرگونه خطر حفظ می کند.»
4Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man.
4پس ای انسان خاکی، به آن ها اخطار بده و علیه آن ها نبوت کن.»
5The Spirit of Yahweh fell on me, and he said to me, Speak, Thus says Yahweh: Thus you have said, house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.
5آنگاه روح خداوند بر من فرود آمد و به من فرمود که بگویم خداوند چنین می فرماید: «ای قوم اسرائیل، من می دانم که چه فکر می کنید و از افکار ضمیر تان آگاهم.
6You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with the slain.
6شما در این شهر عدۀ زیادی را کشتید. جاده ها از اجساد مقتولین پُر هستند.
7Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this is the caldron; but you shall be brought out of its midst.
7شما می گوئید که این شهر مثل یک سپر آهنین است، اما خداوند قادر مطلق می فرماید که این شهر شما را از خطر حفظ نمی کند. شهر از اجساد کشته شدگان پُر شده است و شما را هم برای کشتار می برند.
8You have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword on you, says the Lord Yahweh.
8آیا از شمشیر می ترسید؟ پس شمشیر را برای مجازات شما می فرستم.
9I will bring you forth out of its midst, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
9شما را از شهر بیرون برده به دست بیگانگان تسلیم می کنم و محکوم می سازم.
10You shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.
10شما را در سرزمین تان مجازات می کنم و با شمشیر کشته می شوید. آنگاه می دانید که من خداوند هستم.
11This shall not be your caldron, neither shall you be the meat in its midst; I will judge you in the border of Israel;
11این شهر برای شما سپر آهنین نیست و نمی تواند شما را از خطر حفظ کند. بلی، من شما را در سرزمین اسرائیل محکوم می سازم و جزا می دهم
12and you shall know that I am Yahweh: for you have not walked in my statutes, neither have you executed my ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are around you.
12تا بدانید که من همان خداوند هستم که شما از من اطاعت نکردید و احکام مرا بجا نیاوردید، بلکه طبق قوانین اقوام اطراف تان رفتار کردید.»
13It happened, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Yahweh! will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
13در اثنائی که من نبوت می کردم ناگهان فِلتیا (پسر بنایا) مُرد. آنگاه من رو بخاک افتادم با صدای بلند گریستم و گفتم: «ای خداوند متعال، آیا بازماندگان اسرائیل را بکلی از بین می بری؟»
14The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
14آنگاه خداوند به من فرمود:
15Son of man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your relatives, and all the house of Israel, all of them, to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Go far away from Yahweh. This land has been given to us for a possession.
15«ای انسان خاکی، خویشاوندان و قوم تو که در اورشلیم هستند، در بارۀ هموطنانت که در حال تبعید بسر می برند، می گویند: «آن ها از خداوند دور شده اند، بنابران حالا این سرزمین به ما تعلق دارد.»
16Therefore say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.
16اما تو به آنهائی که تبعید هستند، از طرف من، خداوند متعال، بگو که هرچند آن ها را در بین اقوام و کشورهای مختلف تبعید و پراگنده کرده ام، ولی من تا وقتی که در آنجا ها بسر می برند، پناهگاه مقدس شان بوده
17Therefore say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
17آن ها را از بین مردم و کشورهائی که در آن ها پراگنده اند، جمع می کنم و سرزمین اسرائیل را به آن ها می دهم.
18They shall come there, and they shall take away all the detestable things of it and all its abominations from there.
18وقتی آن ها برگردند، تمام بتها و چیزهای نجس و مکروه را از بین می برند.
19I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
19به آن ها قلب نو و روح تازه عطا می کنم. قلب سنگی را از آن ها می گیرم و بجای آن دل نرم و مُطیع به آن ها می بخشم
20that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
20تا از احکام من پیروی کنند و فرایض مرا بجا آورند. آنگاه آن ها قوم من بوده و من هم خدای شان می باشم.
21But as for them whose heart walks after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way on their own heads, says the Lord Yahweh.
21خداوند متعال چنین فرموده است، اما کسانی را که دل شان مایل به چیزهای نجس و بتهای منفور است، به سزای اعمال شان می رسانم.»
22Then the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
22بعد فرشتگانی که چرخها در پهلوی شان بودند، بالهای خود را گشودند. جلال خداوند هم بالای سر شان قرار داشت.
23The glory of Yahweh went up from the midst of the city, and stood on the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
23بعد جلال خداوند از میان شهر برخاست و بر کوهی که در قسمت شرقی شهر بود توقف کرد.
24The Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
24روح خدا مرا در رؤیا برداشت و دوباره پیش تبعید شدگان در بابل برد. در همین جا رؤیای من به پایان رسید.در آنجا آنچه را که خداوند به من نشان داده بود برای آن ها بیان کردم.
25Then I spoke to them of the captivity all the things that Yahweh had shown me.
25در آنجا آنچه را که خداوند به من نشان داده بود برای آن ها بیان کردم.
