¹The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,

¹کلام خداوند بر من نازل شد:

²Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Wail, Alas for the day!

²«ای انسان خاکی، پیشگویی کن و بگو خداوند متعال می فرماید. شیون و گریه کنید: چون آن روز وحشتناک نزدیک است.

³For the day is near, even the day of Yahweh is near; it shall be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.

³آن روز، روز انتقام خداوند و روز ابر ها و نابودی اقوام است.

⁴A sword shall come on Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt; and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

⁴در مصر جنگ برپا می شود و حبشه را ترس و وحشت فرامی گیرد. مصر از اجساد کشته شدگان پُر می شود، ثروتش تاراج و غارت می گردد و اساس آن فرو می ریزد.

⁵Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the mixed people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, shall fall with them by the sword.

⁵عساکر حبشه، لیبیا، لیدیه، عربستان، کوب و حتی از قوم برگزیدۀ خودم هم با شمشیر کشته می شوند.»

⁶Thus says Yahweh: They also who uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, says the Lord Yahweh.

⁶خداوند متعال می فرماید: «متحدین مصر از شهر مِجدَل تا شهر اسوان بقتل می رسند و سپاه مغرور مصر هم شکست می خورد. من، خداوند متعال، این را گفته ام.

⁷They shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

⁷مثل کشورهای ویرانشدۀ دیگر ویران می شود و شهرهای آن به خرابه تبدیل می گردند.

⁸They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.

⁸وقتی مصر را با آتش از بین ببرم و متحدینش را تار و مار کنم، آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.

⁹In that day shall messengers go forth from before me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid; and there shall be anguish on them, as in the day of Egypt; for, behold, it comes.

⁹در روز نابودی مصر، قاصدان خود را بی خبر به کشتی ها می فرستم تا مردم حبشه را به وحشت اندازند. آن روز نزدیک است.»

¹⁰Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

¹⁰خداوند متعال اضافه می کند: «من ذریعۀ نبوکدنصر، پادشاه بابل به زندگی مردم مصر خاتمه می دهم.

¹¹He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

¹¹او و مردمش که بی باکترین مردمان هستند، می آیند و سرزمین مصر را خراب می کنند. باشندگان مصر را با شمشیر خود می کشند و کشور مصر را از اجساد مقتولین پُر می کنند.

¹²I will make the rivers dry, and will sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I, Yahweh, have spoken it.

¹²دریاهایش را خشک می سازم و خود آن کشور را به اشرار می فروشم. آن سرزمین را با همه چیزی که در آن است بوسیلۀ بیگانگان از بین می برم. بدانید که من، خداوند، این را گفته ام.»

¹³Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis; and there shall be no more a prince from the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

¹³خداوند متعال چنین می فرماید: «بتها را از بین می برم و تمثالهای ممفیس را می شکنم. از این ببعد پادشاهی در مصر نخواهد بود و من در سراسر سرزمین مصر ترس و وحشت را ایجاد می کنم.

¹⁴I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments on No.

¹⁴شهر فتروس را ویران می سازم، شهر صوعَن را با آتش از بین می برم و مردم شهر طِبِس را مجازات می کنم.

¹⁵I will pour my wrath on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

¹⁵خشم خود را بر پلوسیوم که شهر مستحکم مصر است، می ریزم و اهالی تبس را نابود می سازم.

¹⁶I will set a fire in Egypt: Sin shall be in great anguish, and No shall be broken up; and Memphis shall have adversaries in the daytime.

¹⁶سرزمین مصر را آتش می زنم. مردم شهر پلوسیوم به درد و عذاب شدید مبتلا می گردند. دیوارهای تبس فرومی ریزند و ممفیس همیشه در محنت و مصیبت بسر می برد.

¹⁷The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and these cities shall go into captivity.

¹⁷جوانان اون و فِیبَسَت با شمشیر بقتل می رسند و سایر مردم به اسارت برده می شوند.

¹⁸At Tehaphnehes also the day shall withdraw itself, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt, and the pride of her power shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

¹⁸وقتی قدرت مصر را درهم بشکنم و سپاهش را که مایۀ غرور و افتخار آن است، از بین ببرم، بر شهر تَحفَنحیس تاریکی پرده می افگند، کشور مصر را ابر می پوشاند و مردم آن تبعید می گردند.

¹⁹Thus will I execute judgments on Egypt; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

¹⁹به این ترتیب مصر را مجازات می کنم و آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁰It happened in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

²⁰در روز هفتم ماه اول سال یازدهم تبعید ما، کلام خداوند بر من نازل شد:

²¹Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it has not been bound up, to apply healing medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it be strong to hold the sword.

²¹«ای انسان خاکی، من بازوی فرعون، پادشاه مصر را شکسته ام و شکسته بندی وجود ندارد که بازویش را ببندد و بر آن مرهم نهد تا شفا یابد و بتواند شمشیر را به دست بگیرد.»

²²Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

²²بنابراین من، خداوند متعال، چنین می گویم: «من دشمن فرعون، پادشاه مصر، هستم و هردو بازوی او را می شکنم: هم بازوی سالمش را و هم آن بازوئی را که قبلاً شکسته بود تا شمشیر از دستش بیفتد.

²³I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

²³مصریان را در بین مردم کشورهای سراسر جهان پراگنده می کنم.

²⁴I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

²⁴بازوی پادشاه بابل را قوی می سازم و شمشیر خود را بدستش می دهم، اما بازوی فرعون را می شکنم تا مثل یک مجروح نزدیک به مرگ، با آه و ناله در برابر دشمن جان بدهد.

²⁵I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon; and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out on the land of Egypt.

²⁵بلی، من پادشاه بابل را قوی می سازم و قدرت فرعون را درهم می شکنم. وقتی شمشیرم را به دست پادشاه بابل بدهم، او آن را برضد کشور مصر به کار می برد. آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.مردم مصر را در بین اقوام و کشورهای روی زمین پراگنده می سازم، آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁶I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

²⁶مردم مصر را در بین اقوام و کشورهای روی زمین پراگنده می سازم، آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.»
