¹It happened in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹در روز اول ماه دوازدهم سال دوازدهم تبعید ما، کلام خداوند بر من نازل شد:

²Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and tell him, You were likened to a young lion of the nations: yet you are as a monster in the seas; and you broke out with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.

²«ای انسان خاکی، این مرثیه را برای فرعون، پادشاه مصر بخوان و به او بگو: تو فکر می کنی که در میان اقوام جهان مثل یک شیر هستی، اما تو به تمساحی می مانی که در دریاها گردش می کند و با پاهای خود آب را گِل آلود می سازد.

³Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will spread out my net on you with a company of many peoples; and they shall bring you up in my net.

³خداوند متعال چنین می فرماید: در حضور اقوام زیادی ترا به دام خود می اندازم و به ساحل می کشانم.

⁴I will leave you on the land, I will cast you forth on the open field, and will cause all the birds of the sky to settle on you, and I will satisfy the animals of the whole earth with you.

⁴در آنجا بر روی زمین رهایت می کنم تا خوراک مرغان هوا و حیوانات وحشی شوی.

⁵I will lay your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.

⁵گوشت ترا بر کوهها می ریزم و دره ها را از استخوانهایت پُر می سازم.

⁶I will also water with your blood the land in which you swim, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of you.

⁶از خون تو زمین را سیراب می کنم، با آن کوهها را می پوشانم و دره ها را پُر می سازم.

⁷When I shall extinguish you, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

⁷وقتی ترا از بین ببرم، آسمان را با پرده ای می پوشانم، ستارگان را تاریک می سازم، آفتاب را در پس پردۀ ابر پنهان می کنم و مهتاب روشنی نمی دهد.

⁸All the bright lights of the sky will I make dark over you, and set darkness on your land, says the Lord Yahweh.

⁸تمام اجسام نورانی آسمان را تاریک می کنم تا زمین در ظلمت مطلق فرو رود. من، خداوند متعال، این را گفته ام.

⁹I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.

⁹وقتی ترا در کشورهائی که برای تو بیگانه اند، تبعید کنم، دلهای بسیاری از اقوام جهان غمگین می شوند.

¹⁰Yes, I will make many peoples amazed at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for you, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.

¹⁰همۀ مردمان از دیدن وضع تو وحشت می کنند. پادشاهان شان می ترسند. در روز سقوط تو، وقتی شمشیر خود را در مقابل آن ها بجنبانم، از ترس جان هر لحظه به لرزه می آیند.»

¹¹For thus says the Lord Yahweh: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come on you.

¹¹خداوند متعال می فرماید: «شمشیر پادشاه بابل برای کشتن تو می آید.

¹²By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nothing the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.

¹²مردمِت را به دست وحشتناکترین اقوام دنیا بقتل می رسانم. آن ها غرور ترا از بین می برند و مردمت را هلاک می سازند.

¹³I will destroy also all its animals from beside many waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of animals trouble them.

¹³گله و رمه ات را که در کنار آب های فروان می چرند، نابود می کنم و دیگر پای هیچ انسان یا حیوان آبها را گِل آلود نمی سازد.

¹⁴Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, says the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁴بعد آب های مصر را صاف و شفاف می سازم و در نهرهایش مانند روغن به آرامی جاری می کنم. من، خداوند متعال، این را گفته ام.

¹⁵When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I shall strike all those who dwell therein, then shall they know that I am Yahweh.

¹⁵وقتی سرزمین مصر را ویران کنم و ساکنین و همه چیزی را که در آن است از بین ببرم، آنگاه می دانند که من خداوند هستم.

¹⁶This is the lamentation with which they shall lament; the daughters of the nations shall lament therewith; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they lament therewith, says the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁶خداوند متعال می فرماید: این بود مرثیه ای که زنان همۀ اقوام، در آینده برای مصر و مردم آن می خوانند و ماتم می کنند.»

¹⁷It happened also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

¹⁷در روز پانزدهم ماه اول سال دوازدهم تبعید ما، این پیام خداوند برای من رسید:

¹⁸Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, to the lower parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit.

¹⁸«ای انسان خاکی، برای مردم مصر و سایر اقوام مقتدر جهان گریه کن و همه را یکجا به دنیای مردگان بفرست.

¹⁹Whom do you pass in beauty? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.

¹⁹به مصر بگو: تو فکر می کنی که زیباتر از دیگران هستی، اما بدان که رهسپار دنیای مردگان می شوی و با مردم خداناشناس بخواب ابدی فرومی روی.

²⁰They shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword; draw her away and all her multitudes.

²⁰مردم مصر مثل کسانی که با شمشیر کشته شده اند، هلاک می شوند. همۀ آن ها با ضرب شمشیر می میرند.

²¹The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. with those who help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

²¹وقتی هم پیمانانش به دنیای مردگان بروند، جنگ آوران قهرمان می گویند که مصر و هم پیمانانش آمده اند تا با مردم خداناشناسی که در جنگ کشته شده اند، بخوابند.

²²Asshur is there and all her company; her graves are all around her; all of them slain, fallen by the sword;

²²آشور هم در آنجا است. قبرهای سپاهیانش که در جنگ کشته شده بودند، در اطرافش دیده می شوند.

²³whose graves are set in the uttermost parts of the pit, and her company is around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who caused terror in the land of the living.

²³قبرهای شان در قعر دنیای مردگان قرار دارند. هم پیمانان شان به دورادور قبرش جا گرفته اند. آن ها کسانی بودند که یک زمانی در دل مردم روی زمین ترس و وحشت ایجاد می کردند، ولی عاقبت با شمشیر کشته شدند.

²⁴There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised into the lower parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living, and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.

²⁴عیلام نیز در آنجا است و مردمش به دور قبر او جا دارند. همۀ آن ها در جنگ کشته شده اند. اینها افرادی بودند که یک وقتی مردم را بترس و وحشت می انداختند و سرانجام، نامختون و با شرمندگی و رسوائی در دنیای مردگان شتافتند.

²⁵They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude; her graves are around her; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of those who are slain.

²⁵عیلام میان کسانی که در جنگ کشته شده اند خفته است. آن ها همه نامختون و قربانیان جنگ هستند که در زندگی خود، در دل مردم وحشت تولید می کردند و بالاخره در دیار مردگان جا گرفتند.

²⁶There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude; their graves are around them; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they caused their terror in the land of the living.

²⁶مِاشِک و توبال هم در آنجا خفته اند. قبرهای مردم شان به اطراف آن ها قرار دارند. همۀ آن ها نامختون بودند و در جنگ کشته شدند. آن ها کسانی بودند که در زمان حیات خود بر روی زمین ترس و وحشت را براه می انداختند.

²⁷They shall not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

²⁷آن ها مثل جنگجویان و قهرمانان گذشته با احترام خاص و با سلاح و شمشیرها و سپرهای شان بخاک سپرده نشدند، بلکه مانند افراد نامختون به دیار مردگان شتافتند، زیرا در وقتی که زنده بودند مردم را به ترس و وحشت می انداختند.

²⁸But you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shall lie with those who are slain by the sword.

²⁸به این ترتیب مردم مصر در بین نامختونان که با شمشیر کشته شده اند، پایمال می گردی.

²⁹There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with those who are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit.

²⁹ادوم نیز آنجا است. پادشاهان و بزرگان با آنهمه قدرتی که داشتند، حالا در دنیای مردگان در کنار نامختونان و آنهائی که در جنگ کشته شده اند، قرار دارند.

³⁰There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who are gone down with the slain; in the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame; and they lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

³⁰تمام بزرگان شمال و مردم صیدون در آنجا هستند. زور و قدرت آن ها زمانی باعث ترس و وحشت مردم می شد، اما حالا با شرم و رسوائی به دیار مردگان شتافته اند و در کنار کشته شدگان جنگ و نامختونان خفته و در ننگ و رسوائی آن ها شریک شده اند.»

³¹Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, says the Lord Yahweh.

³¹خداوند متعال می فرماید: «وقتی فرعون و سپاهش در دیار مردگان برسند و کشته شدگان جنگ را ببینند، تسلی می یابند که تنها آن ها کشته نشده اند.البته من باعث شدم که پادشاه مصر در دل مردم ترس و وحشت ایجاد کند، اما او و همۀ سپاهش با نامختونان و کسانی که در جنگ کشته شده اند در دیار نیستی یکجا می شوند.» من، خداوند، این را گفته ام.

³²For I have put his terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Yahweh.

³²البته من باعث شدم که پادشاه مصر در دل مردم ترس و وحشت ایجاد کند، اما او و همۀ سپاهش با نامختونان و کسانی که در جنگ کشته شده اند در دیار نیستی یکجا می شوند.» من، خداوند، این را گفته ام.
