1You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem:
1خداوند فرمود: «ای انسان خاکی، خشتی را بگیر و پیشروی خود بگذار. بروی آن نقشۀ اورشلیم را بکش
2and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it all around.
2دور شهر سنگر، دیوار، برج، منجنیق و اردوگاه دشمن را ترسیم کن.
3Take for yourself an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
3بعد یک تابۀ آهنی را بگیر و مانند دیوار بین خود و نقشۀ شهر قرار بده و رویت بطرف شهر باشد. این نشان دهندۀ آنست که شهر در محاصره است و تو آن را محاصره می کنی و همچنین اخطاری برای قوم اسرائیل نیز می باشد.
4Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.
4بعد بر پهلوی چپ خود دراز بکش. من گناه قوم اسرائیل را بر تو می گذارم و تو مدت سه صد و نود روز در همان حال قرار بگیر. یعنی تو برای هر سال جزای قوم اسرائیل، یک روز متحمل رنج و درد می شوی.
5For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days: so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
5بعد از ختم این مدت، چهل روز دیگر بخاطر گناهان مردم یهودا، بر پهلوی راست خود دراز بکش و برای هر سال مجازات آن ها، یک روز درد و رنج را متحمل شو.
6Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it to you.
6بعد آستینت را بَر بزن و رو بسوی شهر کرده سخنان مرا بر ضد آن ها بیان کن.
7You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.
7من دست و پای ترا می بندم تا تو نتوانی تا پایان محاصره از یک پهلو به پهلوی دیگر بغلطی.
8Behold, I lay bands on you, and you shall not turn you from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.
8در طول مدت سیصد و نود روزی که بر پهلوی چپت می خوابی، مقداری گندم، جو، لوبیا، نخود و ارزن را بگیر و در یک ظرف بهم مخلوط کن و همین غذای تو باشد.
9Take for yourself also wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.
9جیرۀ غذایت روزانه یک پاو است و باید در وقت معین صرف شود.
10Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time you shall eat it.
10مقدار آبی که باید بنوشی نیم لیتر است و آب را هم باید در وقت معین بنوشی.
11You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time you shall drink.
11برای پختن نان باید از پاروی خشک انسانی کار بگیری و این کار را هم در حضور مردم اجرا کنی.
12You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.
12به همین ترتیب، قوم اسرائیل در کشورهائی که آن ها را پراگنده می سازم نان مکروه و نجس می خورند.»
13Yahweh said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.
13من گفتم: «ای خداوند متعال، من هیچگاهی نجس نشده ام. از جوانی تا بحال گوشت حیوان مرده و یا از حیوانی را که بوسیلۀ جانور درنده کشته شده باشد، نخورده ام و خوراک حرام را به لب نزده ام.»
14Then I said, Ah Lord Yahweh! behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
14آنگاه خداوند به من فرمود: «پس من اجازه می دهم که برای پختن نان، بجای پاروی انسانی از سرگین گاو کار بگیری.»
15Then he said to me, Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread thereon.
15بعد اضافه کرد: «ای انسان خاکی، من می خواهم که نان را از شهر اورشلیم قطع کنم تا نان و آب را بصورت جیره و با ترس و لرز و بدقت آن را اندازه کرده بخورند.بخاطر قلت نان و آب با حسرت به یکدیگر می نگرند و در زیر فشار بار گناه ضایع می شوند.»
16Moreover he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay:
16بخاطر قلت نان و آب با حسرت به یکدیگر می نگرند و در زیر فشار بار گناه ضایع می شوند.»
17that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
