1Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
1در اولین سال امپراطوری کورِش پادشاه فارس، خداوند به وعده ای که توسط ارمیای نبی داده بود وفا کرد و کورِش را واداشت تا فرمان کتبی زیر را صادر کند و آنرا به تمام نواحی امپراطوری خود بفرستد تا برای مردم با صدای بلند خوانده شود:
2“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘Yahweh, the God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
2«این فرمان کورِش شاهنشاه فارس است. خداوند، خدای آسمان ها تمام پادشاهان جهان را به زیر فرمان من درآورده و مرا برگزیده تا عبادتگاهی در شهر اورشلیم در یهودیه بنا کنم.
3Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Yahweh, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.
3خداوند به همۀ شما که قوم برگزیدۀ او هستید، اجازه می دهد که به اورشلیم بازگردید و عبادتگاهی برای خداوند، خدای اسرائیل که در اورشلیم پرستش می شود، آباد کنید.
4Whoever is left, in any place where he lives, let the men of his place help him with silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for God’s house which is in Jerusalem.’”
4اگر کسی از این قوم برای بازگشت محتاج به کمک باشد، همسایگان او باید با دادن طلا و نقره، چهارپایان، و وسایل دیگر به او کمک کنند و علاوه بر آن هدایائی برای تقدیم به عبادتگاه خدا در اورشلیم در اختیار او بگذارند.»
5Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up rose up to build the house of Yahweh which is in Jerusalem.
5آن وقت سران طایفه ها و قبیله های یهودا و بنیامین به همراه کاهنان و لاویان و تمام کسانی که خداوند در دلهای شان شوق ایجاد کرده بود، حاضر شدند به اورشلیم بروند و عبادتگاهِ خدا را در آنجا بسازند.
6All those who were around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
6همسایگان آن ها نیز با دادن هدایای فراوان از قبیل ظروف طلا و نقره، چهارپایان، اشیای قیمتی، و وسایل دیگر برای خود شان و هدایائی هم برای عبادتگاه به آن ها کمک کردند.
7Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of Yahweh, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;
7کورِش پادشاه تمام جامها و پیاله هائی را که نبوکدنصر پادشاه از عبادتگاه اورشلیم به معبد خدایان خود برده بود به آن ها پس داد.
8even those, Cyrus king of Persia brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
8او این ظروف را بوسیلۀ مِتَردات، رئیس خزانۀ سلطنتی تحویل شیشبصر، فرماندار یهودیه، داد.
9This is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, one thousand platters of silver, twenty-nine knives,
9ظروف تحویل شده به این شرح بود: جام طلا برای تقدیم هدایا سی عدد، جام نقره برای تقدیم هدایا هزار عدد، سایر جامها بیست و نُه عدد، جام طلائی کوچک سی عدد، جام نقره ای کوچک چهارصد و ده عدد، سایر ظروف یک هزار عدد.وقتی شیشبصر همراه سایر تبعید شدگان از بابل به اورشلیم برگشت رویهم رفته پنجهزار و چهارصد جام طلا و نقره و سایر وسایل را با خود بُرد.
10thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels one thousand.
10وقتی شیشبصر همراه سایر تبعید شدگان از بابل به اورشلیم برگشت رویهم رفته پنجهزار و چهارصد جام طلا و نقره و سایر وسایل را با خود بُرد.
11All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all these up, when the captives were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
