1For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
1هر کاهن اعظم از میان مردم برگزیده می شود تا نمایندۀ مردم در حضور خدا باشد. او به خاطر گناهان انسان هدایائی تقدیم خدا نموده و مراسم قربانی را انجام می دهد.
2The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
2چون خود او دچار ضعف های انسانی است، می تواند با نادانان و خطاکاران همدردی کند.
3Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
3ولی به علت ضعف خود مجبور است، نه تنها برای گناهان مردم، بلکه به خاطر گناهان خویش نیز قربانی بنماید.
4Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
4هیچ کس اختیار ندارد این افتخار را نصیب خود بسازد، بلکه فقط با دعوت خدا به این مقام می رسد، همان طور که هارون رسید.
5So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.” Psalm 2:7
5مسیح هم همین طور، او افتخار کاهن اعظم شدن را برای خود اختیار نکرد، بلکه خدا به او فرمود:«تو پسر من هستی،
امروز پدر تو شده ام.»
6As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” Psalm 110:4
6و نیز در جای دیگر می فرماید:«تو تا ابد کاهن هستی،
کاهنی در رتبۀ ملکیزدق»
7He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
7عیسی در زمان زندگی خود بر روی زمین با ناله و اشک از درگاه خدایی که به رهایی او از مرگ قادر بود دعا کرد و حاجت خویش را خواست و به خاطر این که کاملاً تسلیم بود، دعایش مستجاب شد.
8though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
8اگر چه پسر خدا بود، اطاعت را از راه تحمل درد و رنج آموخت
9Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,
9و وقتی به کمال رسید سرچشمۀ نجات ابدی برای همۀ ایمانداران خود گردید،
10named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
10و خدا لقب کاهن اعظم، کاهنی به رتبۀ ملکیزدق را به او داد.
11About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
11دربارۀ او مطالب زیادی برای گفتن داریم، ولی شرح آن برای شما که در درک این چیزها دیر فهم شده اید دشوار است.
12For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
12شما که تا این موقع باید معلم دیگران می شدید، هنوز احتیاج دارید که پیام خدا را از الفبا به شما تعلیم دهند. شما به جای غذای قوی به شیر احتیاج دارید.
13For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
13کسی که فقط شیر می خورد، طفل است و در تشخیص حق از باطل تجربه ندارد.اما غذای قوی برای بزرگ سالان و برای کسانی است، که قوای ذهنی آن ها با تمرین های طولانی پرورش یافته است تا بتوانند نیک و بد را از هم تشخیص بدهند.
14But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
14اما غذای قوی برای بزرگ سالان و برای کسانی است، که قوای ذهنی آن ها با تمرین های طولانی پرورش یافته است تا بتوانند نیک و بد را از هم تشخیص بدهند.
