1The word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
1در دوران سلطنت عُزیا، یوتام، آحاز و حزقیا، پادشاهان یهودا و یَرُبعام پسر یوآش، پادشاه اسرائیل، کلام خداوند بر هوشع پسر بیری نازل شد.
2When Yahweh spoke at first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, “Go, take for yourself a wife of prostitution and children of unfaithfulness; for the land commits great adultery, forsaking Yahweh.”
2خداوند کلام خود را با یوشع چنین آغاز کرد: «برو با یک زن زانیه ازدواج کن تا از راه زنا فرزندانی برایت بدنیا بیاورد، زیرا قوم برگزیدۀ من زناکار شده و مرا ترک کرده اند.»
3So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.
3پس هوشع رفت و با جومر دختر دبلایم ازدواج کرد. آن زن حامله شد و پسری برایش بدنیا آورد.
4Yahweh said to him, “Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.
4خداوند فرمود: «نام این طفل را یِزرعیل بگذار، زیرا می خواهم بزودی پادشاه اسرائیل را مجازات کنم و انتقام خونی را که جدش، ییهُو، در درۀ یِزرعیل ریخته است، بگیرم.
5It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”
5در آن روز قدرت نظامی اسرائیل را در درۀ یِزرعیل درهم می شکنم و به سلطنت قوم اسرائیل خاتمه می دهم.»
6She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah Lo-Ruhamah means “not loved.” ; for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.
6جومر بار دیگر حامله شد و دختری زائید. خداوند به هوشع فرمود: «نام او را لُوروحامَه، یعنی «رحمت نشده» بگذار، زیرا من دیگر بر قوم اسرائیل رحمت نمی کنم و آن ها را نمی بخشم.
7But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” , and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”
7اما بر مردم یهودا رحم می کنم و من خداوند، خدای ایشان، آن ها را نجات می دهم، اما نه با کمان و شمشیر و جنگ و یا با کمک اسپها و سواران شان.»
8Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
8بعد از آنکه جومر لُوروحامَه را از شیر جدا کرد، بار سوم حامله شد و پسری بدنیا آورد.
9He said, “Call his name Lo-Ammi Lo-Ammi means “not my people” ; for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.
9خداوند فرمود: «نام او را لُوعَمی، یعنی «قوم من نیست» بگذار، زیرا که اسرائیل قوم برگزیدۀ من نیست و من هم خدای آن ها نیستم.»
10Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can’t be measured nor numbered; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’
10با اینهم تعداد مردم اسرائیل مثل ریگ دریا بی اندازه و بیشمار می شود. آنوقت بعوض اینکه خدا به آن ها بگوید: «قوم برگزیدۀ من نیستید،» می گوید: «شما فرزندان خدای زنده هستید.»مردم یهودا و اسرائیل با هم متفق می گردند و برای خود یک پیشوا تعیین می کنند و مالک سرزمین خود می شوند. روز یِزرعیل چه روز بزرگی خواهد بود.
11The children of Judah and the children of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint themselves one head, and will go up from the land; for great will be the day of Jezreel.
11مردم یهودا و اسرائیل با هم متفق می گردند و برای خود یک پیشوا تعیین می کنند و مالک سرزمین خود می شوند. روز یِزرعیل چه روز بزرگی خواهد بود.
