1Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.
1مردم موآب از شهر سالع که در بیابان واقع است، برای پادشاهی که در سهیون سلطنت می کند، بره ای را بعنوان جزیه می فرستند.
2For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.
2مانند پرندگان بی آشیانه در کنار دریای ارنون آواره شده اند.
3Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don’t betray the fugitive!
3به مردم یهودا می گویند: «به ما بگوئید که چه کنیم. در زیر سایۀ شفقت خود در این وضع مشقتبار، از ما حمایت نمائید و ما را پناه بدهید تا به دست دشمن گرفتار نشویم.
4Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
4به ما آوارگان اجازه بدهید که در بین شما بمانیم و ما را از خطر دشمنان حفظ کنید.»
بعد از آنکه مردم ظالم و تاراجگر و ستمگار نابود شدند،
5A throne will be established in loving kindness. One will sit on it in truth, in the tent of David, judging, seeking justice, and swift to do righteousness.
5آنوقت یکی از اولادۀ داود بر تخت سلطنت می نشیند. او با عدل و انصاف بر مردم حکومت می کند و سلطنت او بر اساس رحمت و راستی استوار خواهد بود.
6We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; even of his arrogance, his pride, and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.
6مردم یهودا می گویند: «ما در بارۀ موآبیان شنیده ایم و می دانیم که چقدر مغرور و گستاخ و خودخواه هستند. بخود فخر می کنند، اما فخر آن ها بیجا است.»
7Therefore Moab will wail for Moab. Everyone will wail. You will mourn for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth, utterly stricken.
7مردم موآب بخاطر مصیبت خود ناله می کنند و بیاد غذای خوبی که در قیرحارَس می خوردند می گریند.
8For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.
8کشتزارهای حِشبون و تاکستان های سِبمه از بین رفته اند. تاکهای انگور را حاکمان اقوام بیگانه قطع کرده اند. زمانی شاخهای این تاکها تا یعزیر و از بیابان گذشته تا به آن طرف بحیرۀ مُرده می رسیدند.
9Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will water you with my tears, Heshbon, and Elealeh: for on your summer fruits and on your harvest the battle shout has fallen.
9حالا من برای یعزیر و تاکستان های سِبمه می گریم و بخاطر حِشبون و اَلِعالَه اشک می ریزم، زیرا میوه و محصول شان تلف شده اند.
10Gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there will be no singing, neither joyful noise. Nobody will tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shouting stop.
10مردم آن خوشی و نشاطی را که در فصل درو داشتند، حالا ندارند و در تاکستان ها دیگر نغمۀ خوشی شنیده نمی شود. دیگر کسی انگور را برای ساختن شراب در زیر پا نمی فشرد و آواز خوشی خاموش شده است.
11Therefore my heart sounds like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kir Heres.
11دل من مانند چنگ برای موآب می نالد و بخاطر قیرحارَس غمگین هستم.
12It will happen that when Moab presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, and comes to his sanctuary to pray, that he will not prevail.
12مردم موآب برای دعا به بتخانه ها بالا می روند و خود را بیفایده خسته می سازند، زیرا دعای آن ها قبول نمی شود.»
13This is the word that Yahweh spoke concerning Moab in time past.
13این بود پیامی که خداوند قبلاً در مورد موآب فرستاده بود.ولی حالا خداوند می فرماید: «بعد از سه سال شوکت و جلال موآب نابود می شود. عدۀ کمی از آن ها باقی می ماند و آن ها هم ضعیف و بیچاره خواهد شد.»
14But now Yahweh has spoken, saying, “Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble.”
14ولی حالا خداوند می فرماید: «بعد از سه سال شوکت و جلال موآب نابود می شود. عدۀ کمی از آن ها باقی می ماند و آن ها هم ضعیف و بیچاره خواهد شد.»
