¹This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

¹اینست پیام دیگری که از جانب خداوند در مورد کشور یهودا و شهر اورشلیم به اشعیا، پسر آموص رسید:

²It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

²در روزهای آخر، کوهی که عبادتگاه خداوند بر آن قرار دارد، بلندترین و مافوق همۀ کوههای جهان محسوب می شود و تمام اقوام روی زمین به سوی آن روانه می گردند.

³Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

³آن ها می گویند: «بیائید به کوه خداوند، یعنی عبادتگاه خدای یعقوب برویم تا طریق خود را به ما نشان بدهد. ارادۀ او را بدانیم و از آن اطاعت کنیم، زیرا هدایات از سهیون و کلام خداوند از اورشلیم صادر می شود.»

⁴He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁴خداوند به عنوان داور، دشمنی و عداوت را از بین اقوام جهان بر می دارد. مردم از شمشیر خود گاو آهن و از نیزه های خود اره می سازند. اقوام جهان از جنگ با یکدیگر دست می کشند و دیگر برای جنگ آمادگی نمی گیرند.

⁵ای نسل یعقوب، بیائید تا از نور خداوند که راه ما را روشن می سازد پیروی کنیم.

⁶For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.

⁶خداوند قوم برگزیدۀ خود، نسل یعقوب را ترک کرده است، زیرا جادوگری مردم شرق و فلسطینی ها در همه جای کشور شان دیده می شود و از رسوم بیگانگان پیروی می کنند.

⁷Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

⁷سرزمین شان دارای خزانه های پُر از نقره و طلا، اسپها و عراده ها است.

⁸Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

⁸بتهائی را که به دست خود ساخته اند، می پرستند.

⁹Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.

⁹همگی آن ها را سجده می کنند. بنابران، ای خدا، آن ها را نبخش.

¹⁰Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹⁰مردم از ترس خداوند و از هیبت جلال او در مغاره ها و سوراخهای زمین پنهان می شوند.

¹¹The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

¹¹روزی می رسد که غرور و تکبر انسان از بین رفته و فقط خداوند متعال خواهد بود.

¹²For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:

¹²در آن روز خداوند قادر مطلق برضد اشخاص مغرور و خودخواه برخاسته آن ها را خوار و ذلیل می سازد.

¹³For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

¹³سروهای بلند لبنان و درختان بلوط باشان را از بین می برد.

¹⁴For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,

¹⁴کوههای مرتفع و تپه ها،

¹⁵For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,

¹⁵برجهای بلند و حصارهای رفیع را با خاک یکسان می کند.

¹⁶For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.

¹⁶کشتیهای بزرگ ترشیش را غرق می کند و مصنوعات زیبا را می شکند.

¹⁷The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁷غرور و تکبر انسان محو می گردد و به خود خواهی و بلند پروازی او خاتمه داده می شود. بتها از بین می روند و فقط خداوند، متعال می باشد.

¹⁸وقتی خداوند برخیزد تا زمین را تکان بدهد، مردم از ترس او و هیبت حضور او در غارهای کوه و سوراخهای زمین پنهان می شوند.

¹⁹Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

¹⁹مردم در آن روز بتهای طلا و نقرۀ خود را که برای پرستش ساخته بودند، پیش موشها و شب پَره های چرمی می اندازند.

²⁰In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

²⁰هنگامی که خداوند برخیزد تا زمین را بلرزاند، مردم از هیبت جلال و جبروت او وحشت می کنند و در سوراخ صخره ها و شگافهای سنگ مخفی می شوند.به انسان فانی اتکاء نکنید، زیرا مثل نَفَسی که می کشد عمر کوتاه دارد و ناچیز است.

²¹To go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²¹به انسان فانی اتکاء نکنید، زیرا مثل نَفَسی که می کشد عمر کوتاه دارد و ناچیز است.

²²Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
