1The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. From the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.

ای کشتی های ترشیش، برای صور شیون کنید، زیرا صور چنان ویران شده که از خانه و بندرگاهِ بحری آن اثری باقی نمانده است. خبرهائی را که در قبرس شنیدید، حقیقت دارند.
2Be still, you inhabitants of the coast, you whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
2ای ساکنین ساحل، خاموش باشید. کشتی های صیدون که از مصر غله می آوردند تا تاجران شان با آن در تمام دنیا خرید و فروش کنند، در بندر صور لنگر می انداختند. این بندر که زمانی یکی از بندرهای مهم تجارتی بشمار می رفت، حالا در سکوت مرگباری فرورفته است.
3On great waters, the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue. She was the market of nations.
3ای صیدون خجل شوی، زیرا بحر می گوید: «من هرگز درد نکشیده ام، نزائیده ام و کودکی را پرورش نداده ام.»
4Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, “I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.”
4وقتی خبرِ بدِ صور به مصر برسد مردم آنجا هم به وحشت می افتند.
5When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish at the report of Tyre.
5ای ساکنین فنیقیه، شیون نمائید و به ترشیش فرار کنید.
6Pass over to Tarshish! Wail, you inhabitants of the coast!
6آیا این همان شهر صور است که شما به آن افتخار می کردید که سالها پیش بنا یافته بود و وقتیکه مردمِ آن برای تصاحب کشورها به جاهای دور سفر می کردند در آنجا ساکن می شدند؟
7Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her far away to travel?
7چه کسی این بلا را بر سر این شهری که تاج سر شهرها است، و تاجرانش در تمام دنیا معروف اند، آورده است؟
8Who has planned this against Tyre, the giver of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?
8خداوند قادر مطلق این کار را کرد تا شوکت و جلال آنرا به زمین بزند و مردمان معروف آنرا خوار سازد.
9Yahweh of Armies has planned it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.
9ای مردم ترشیش، کشور تان را مثل سواحل دریای نیل حاصلخیز کنید، زیرا دیگر مانعی در سر راه شما وجود ندارد.
10Pass through your land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish. There is no restraint any more.
10خداوند دست خود را بر بحر دراز کرده است و سلطنت های جهان را تکان می دهد. او امر کرد تا مراکز تجارتی فنیقیه را ویران کنند
11He has stretched out his hand over the sea. He has shaken the kingdoms. Yahweh has ordered the destruction of Canaan’s strongholds.
11و فرمود: «ای مردم ستمدیدۀ صیدون، شان و شوکت شما از بین رفت. حتی اگر به قبرس فرار کنید، در آنجا هم روی آسایش را نمی بینید.»
12He said, “You shall rejoice no more, you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim. Even there you will have no rest.”
12مردم بابل بودند که صور را جای تاخت و تاز حیوانات وحشی ساختند، نه آسوری ها. مردم بابل بودند که شهر را محاصره کردند، قلعه های مستحکم آنرا ویران نمودند و آن سرزمین را با خاک یکسان ساختند.
13Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not. The Assyrians founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.
13ای کشتیهای ترشیش شیون کنید، زیرا بندرگاه شما ویران شد.
14Howl, you ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste!
14صور مدت هفتاد سال که طول عمر یک پادشاه است، فراموش می شود. بعد از انقضای آن مدت، صور مثل فاحشۀ این سرود می شود:
15It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.
15«ای فاحشۀ فراموش شده، چنگ را به دست بگیر و در شهر بگرد. نغمه های خوش بنواز و آواز های بسیار بخوان، تا مردم ترا بیاد آورند.»
16Take a harp; go about the city, you prostitute that has been forgotten. Make sweet melody. Sing many songs, that you may be remembered.
16در ختم دوران هفتاد سال خداوند بطرف صور می نگرد. آنگاه صور دوباره مشهور می شود و با سایر کشورهای جهان روابط تجارتی برقرار می کند.در معاملات خود سودی فراوانی را که به دست می آورند در خزانۀ خود ذخیره نمی کنند، بلکه همه را وقف خداوند می نمایند تا برای البسه و خوراک خدمتگاران او به مصرف برسد.
17It will happen after the end of seventy years that Yahweh will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.
17در معاملات خود سودی فراوانی را که به دست می آورند در خزانۀ خود ذخیره نمی کنند، بلکه همه را وقف خداوند می نمایند تا برای البسه و خوراک خدمتگاران او به مصرف برسد.
18Her merchandise and her wages will be holiness to Yahweh. It will not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise will be for those who dwell before Yahweh, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
