¹Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;

¹وای بر اریئیل! وای بر اریئیل! شهریکه خیمه گاه داود بود! یکی دو سال دیگر هم مردم می توانند مراسم عید خود را در آنجا برقرار کنند،

²then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth or, Ariel .

²بعد خدا بلائی را بر سر این شهر که قربانگاه خدا است، می آورد و از هر گوشۀ آن ماتم و واویلا شنیده می شود.

³I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.

³او بر این شهر یورش برده آنرا محاصره می کند و منجنیقها را به دور آن قرار می دهد.

⁴You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.

⁴اورشلیم به شهر ارواح تبدیل می شود و صدای ناله اش همچون آواز ارواح مردگان از زیر خاک بسختی به گوش می رسد.

⁵But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.

⁵دشمنان تو مثل خاک ذره ذره می گردند و گروه ستمگران مانند کاه در برابر باد رانده می شوند.

⁶She will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.

⁶خداوند قادر مطلق در یک چشم برهم زدن با رعد و زلزله، با آواز مهیب، با گِردباد و طوفان و با آتش سوزنده بسر وقت تو می رسد.

⁷The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

⁷و سپاههای دشمن که برای جنگ آن آمده و آنرا محاصره کرده اند، مانند خواب و رؤیای شب محو می شوند.

⁸It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

⁸درست مثل شخص گرسنه و تشنه ای که در خواب می بیند که می خورد و می نوشد و بعد که از خواب بیدار می شود حس می کند که هنوز هم گرسنه و تشنه است، وضع دشمنان کوه سهیون که برای جنگ آمده اند به همین ترتیب خواهد بود.

⁹Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

⁹بروید و به وضع احمقانۀ خود ادامه بدهید و کور باقی بمانید. مست شوید، اما نه از نشئۀ شراب؛ سرگیچ شوید، ولی نه از میگساری.

¹⁰For Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.

¹⁰بلکه خداوند شما را در خواب سنگینی فروبرده و چشمان انبیاء را که راهنمای شما هستند، بسته است.

¹¹All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed:”

¹¹رؤیاها برای شان مانند طومار مُهر شده می گردند و نمی توانند آن ها را بفهمند و اگر آن طومار به کسی که خواننده است، داده شود، می گوید: «من نمی توانم بخوانم، چونکه مُهر شده است.»

¹²and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please”; and he says, “I can’t read.”

¹²و اگر به شخصی که خواننده نیست داده شود که بخواند، می گوید: «من خوانده نمی توانم.»

¹³The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;

¹³خداوند می فرماید: «این مردم با زبان خود مرا می پرستند و با سخنان خود مرا تمجید می کنند، اما دل شان در جای دیگر است. عبادت شان فقط هدایاتی است که از انسان گرفته اند.

¹⁴therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”

¹⁴بنابران، من بار دیگر با کارهای عجیب خود این مردم را تکان داده به حیرت می اندازم. حکمت حکیمان زایل می شود و فهم فهیمان از بین می رود.»

¹⁵Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”

¹⁵کسانی که نقشه های خود را از خداوند پنهان می کنند، نابود می شوند. آن ها نقشه های خود را در تاریکی عملی می سازند و می گویند: «چه کسی می تواند ما را ببیند؟ چه کسی می تواند ما را بشناسد؟»

¹⁶You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding?”

¹⁶آن ها غلط فکر می کنند و فرق بین کوزه و کوزه گر را نمی دانند. آیا مصنوع به صانع خود می گوید: «تو مرا نساخته ای.» یا تصویر به مصور خود می گوید: «تو نمی فهمی.»؟

¹⁷Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?

¹⁷مثلی است که می گویند: بعد از یک مدت کوتاهی جنگل به کشتزار و کشتزار به جنگل تبدیل می شود.

¹⁸In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

¹⁸در آن روز، کرها کلام کتابی را که برای شان خوانده می شود می شنوند و کورها که یک عمر در تاریکی و ظلمت بسر برده اند چشمان شان باز می شوند و می بینند.

¹⁹The humble also will increase their joy in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹خداوند، خدای مقدس اسرائیل به مردمان مسکین و حلیم بار دیگر خوشی و شادمانی می بخشد.

²⁰For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—

²⁰ستمگران نابود می شوند و مسخره کنندگان از بین می روند و پیروان شرارت محو می گردند.

²¹who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for the arbiter in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.

²¹خداوند کسانی را که با سخنان دروغ بیگناهی را مجرم می سازد و مانع مجازات جنایتکاران می شود و حق مردمان عادل را در محکمه تلف می کند، از بین می برد.

²²Therefore thus says Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.

²²بنابران، خداوند، خدای اسرائیل که ابراهیم را از سختیها نجات بخشید، در بارۀ قوم اسرائیل چنین می فرماید: «مردم اسرائیل بعد از این شرمنده و رنگ زرد نمی شوند.

²³But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

²³وقتی فرزندان تان را که من به شما می بخشم ببینید، آنگاه نام مرا که خدای مقدس اسرائیل هستم تمجید و ستایش می کنید.کسانی که گمراه هستند حقیقت را می دانند و اشخاص متمرد تعلیم می پذیرند.»

²⁴They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
