1“Woe to the rebellious children,” says Yahweh, “who take counsel, but not from me; and who make an alliance, but not with my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin,
1خداوند می فرماید: «وای بحال فرزندان نافرمان من! آن ها از هر کس دیگر مشورت می خواهند بجز از من. برخلاف میل و خواستۀ من با دیگران پیمان می بندند و به این ترتیب بار گناهان خود را زیاد می کنند.
2who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked my advice; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!
2آن ها بدون اینکه با من مشوره نمایند به مصر می روند و از فرعون کمک می گیرند و در سایۀ قدرت او پناه می برند.
3Therefore the strength of Pharaoh will be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
3اما اعتماد بر قدرت فرعون موجب رسوائی و خجالت آن ها می شود.
4For their princes are at Zoan, and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.
4هرچند نمایندگان او در شهرهای صوعَن و حانیس رسیده اند،
5They shall all be ashamed because of a people that can’t profit them, that are not a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.”
5اما مردم یهودا از رفتن خود خجل و پشیمان می شوند و فایده ای برای شان نمی کند، زیرا فرعون هیچ کمکی به آن ها کرده نمی تواند.»
6The burden of the animals of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to an unprofitable people.
6این پیامی است از جانب خدا دربارۀ حیوانات جنوب: «نمایندگان یهودا دارائی و گنجهای خود را بر خرها و شترها بار کرده از راه بیابان های خطرناک که پُر از شیرهای درنده و مارهای سمی هستند پیش مردمی می روند که هیچ کمکی به آن ها کرده نمی توانند،
7For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose; therefore have I called her Rahab who sits still.
7زیرا کمک مردم مصر بیفایده است و به همین خاطر است که مردم مصر را اژدهای تنبل بیکاره لقب داده ام.»
8Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.
8خداوند به من فرمود که بروم و تمام اینها را در حضور شان در کتابی بنویسم تا یک یادگار ابدی از کارهای بد آن ها باشد.
9For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the law of Yahweh;
9زیرا اینها مردم نافرمان و دروغگو هستند و از احکام خداوند پیروی نمی کنند.
10who tell the seers, “Don’t see!” and to the prophets, “Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.
10آن ها به انبیاء می گویند: «برای ما نبوت نکنید و حقیقت را نگوئید، بلکه سخنان شیرین را به ما بگوئید و رؤیاهای فریبنده را به ما تعریف کنید.
11Get out of the way. Turn aside from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”
11از سر راه ما دور شوید و سد راه ما نگردید. دیگر نمی خواهیم دربارۀ قدوس اسرائیل چیزی بشنویم.»
12Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it;
12قدوس اسرائیل در جواب آن ها چنین می فرماید: «چون شما به کلام من توجه نکردید و به دروغ و حیله متکی شدید،
13therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.
13بنابران، شما متهم هستید و به دیواری می مانید که رخنه ای در آن پدید شده و هر لحظه امکان فروریختن آن باشد. بلی، این دیوار بزودی و ناگهان فرومی ریزد.
14He will break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there won’t be found among the broken piece a piece good enough to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.”
14شکستگی آن مثل کوزه ای می باشد که ناگهان می افتد و طوری تکه تکه می شود که نمی توان از تکه های آن حتی برای گرفتن آتش از منقل یا آب از حوض کار گرفت.»
15For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, “You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,
15خداوند، قدوس اسرائیل چنین می فرماید: «بسوی من برگردید و به من اعتماد کنید تا نجات بیابید. آنگاه نیرومند و در امنیت و آسایش خواهید بود.» اما شما این کار را نکردید.
16but you said, “No, for we will flee on horses”; therefore you will flee; and, “We will ride on the swift”; therefore those who pursue you will be swift.
16در عوض خواستید که بر اسپهای تیزرو خود سوار شده از دست دشمن فرار نمائید. بلی، شما مجبور هستید که فرار کنید، اما بدانید که اسپهای تعقیب کنندگان تان بمراتب تیزتر از اسپهای شما می باشند!
17One thousand will flee at the threat of one. At the threat of five, you will flee until you are left like a beacon on the top of a mountain, and like a banner on a hill.
17هزار نفر شما از دست یک نفر آن ها فرار می کنند و با نهیبِ پنج نفر آن ها همۀ تان می گریزید و از شما فقط یک بیرق بر قلۀ کوه باقی می ماند.
18Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
18با اینهم خداوند منتظر است که بر شما مهربان باشد و شما از لطف و رحمت او برخوردار شوید، زیرا خداوند، خدای عادل است و خوشا بحال کسانی که به او اعتماد می کنند.
19For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.
19ای قوم سهیون که در اورشلیم ساکن هستید، شما دیگر گریه نخواهید کرد، زیرا وقتی او گریه و دعای شما را بشنود، بر شما رحمت می کند و به کمک شما می شتابد.
20Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden anymore, but your eyes will see your teachers;
20هرچند خداوند شما را گاهگاهی دچار سختی ها و مصیبت ها می سازد، ولی بازهم خود او معلم و راهنمای شما بوده خود را از شما مخفی نمی کند و چشمان شما او را می بینند.
21and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
21اگر بطرف راست یا چپ بروید، از پشت سر صدائی به گوش تان می رسد که می گوید: «راه این است، از این راه بروید.»
22You shall defile the overlaying of your engraved images of silver, and the plating of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away as an unclean thing. You shall tell it, “Go away!”
22آنگاه شما همه بتهای خود را که با نقره و طلا ورق شانی شده اند، مانند اشیای نجس و کثیف دور می اندازید و از خود دور می کنید.
23He will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground; and bread of the increase of the ground will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.
23خدا در وقت کشت و کار برای شما باران می فرستد تا خرمن با برکت و محصول فراوان داشته باشید و رمه و گلۀ تان در چراگاههای وسیع و سرسبز بچرند.
24The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savory provender, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.
24خرها و گاوهای تان که زمین را قلبه می کنند، بهترین خوراک و آذوقه می داشته باشند.
25There shall be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
25در آن روز دشمنان تان همه هلاک می شوند و برجهای بلند آن ها فرومی ریزند، اما برای شما از هر کوه و تپه چشمه ها و جویهای آب جاری می شوند.
26Moreover the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, in the day that Yahweh binds up the fracture of his people, and heals the wound they were struck with.
26مهتاب مانند آفتاب نورانی می گردد و روشنی آفتاب هفت چند می شود. در آن روز خدا جراحات قوم برگزیدۀ خود را که بر آن ها وارد کرده بود، شفا می دهد و زخمهای شان را می بندد.
27Behold, the name of Yahweh comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire.
27قدرت و جلال خداوند از دور مشاهده می شود. آتش و دود خشم او را نشان می دهد و کلماتی که از دهان او خارج می شوند مثل آتش سوزنده اند.
28His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.
28نَفَس او مانند دریای خروشانی است که آب آن تا به گردن می رسد. او اقوام را غربال کرده نابود می سازد و نقشه های شرارت آمیز آن ها را خنثی می کند.
29You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to Yahweh’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.
29اما شما مثلیکه در جشنهای مقدس آواز می خوانید، با خوشی و سُرُور می سرائید و دلهای تان خوشحال می شوند و با ساز و آواز بسوی عبادتگاه خداوند که تکیه گاه قوم اسرائیل است، به راه می افتید.
30Yahweh will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.
30خداوند آواز با عظمت خود را به گوش همه می رساند و مردم قدرت و شدت خشم او را در شعله های سوزندۀ آتش و طوفان و سیل و ژاله می بینند.
31For through the voice of Yahweh the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.
31با شنیدن آواز خداوند و ضربۀ خشم او مردم آشور به وحشت می افتند.
32Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which Yahweh will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.
32با هر ضربه ای که خداوند برای مجازات شان بر آن ها وارد می کند، مردم اسرائیل با دایره و چنگ به پایکوبی می پردازند.مدتها قبل جائی برای سوختاندن پادشاه آشور مهیا شده است. آنجا وسیع و عمیق است. هیزم فراوان دارد و نَفَس خداوند آنرا مثل دریای آتش مشتعل می سازد.
33For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. Yahweh’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.
33مدتها قبل جائی برای سوختاندن پادشاه آشور مهیا شده است. آنجا وسیع و عمیق است. هیزم فراوان دارد و نَفَس خداوند آنرا مثل دریای آتش مشتعل می سازد.
