1“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
1خداوند شما می فرماید: «تسلی بدهید! قوم برگزیدۀ مرا تسلی بدهید!
2“Speak comfortably to Jerusalem; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins.”
2مردم اورشلیم را دلگرم سازید و به آن ها بگوئید که به رنجهای شان خاتمه داده و گناهان شان را بخشیده ام و آن ها را دو چندِ گناه شان جزا داده ام.»
3The voice of one who calls out, “Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God.
3صدائی فریاد می زند: «راهی را در بیابان برای آمدن خداوند آماده کنید و راه خدای ما را در صحرا صاف سازید.
4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.
4دره ها را پُر کنید و کوهها و تپه ها را هموار نمائید. راههای کج را راست سازید و جاهای ناهموار را هموار کنید.
5The glory of Yahweh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.”
5جلال خداوند آشکار می شود و همه مردم یکجا آنرا مشاهده می کنند، زیرا خداوند چنین فرموده است.»
6The voice of one saying, “Cry!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
6صدا بار دیگر می گوید: «با آواز بلند بگو!» پرسیدم: «چه بگویم؟» گفت: «بگو که انسانها همه مانند گیاه هستند، زیبائی آن ها مثل عمر گل ناپایدار است.
7The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.
7وقتی خداوند باد را بفرستد، گیاه خشک و گل پژمرده می شود. بلی، انسان همچون گیاه است.
8The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”
8گیاه خشک و گل پژمرده می شود، اما کلام خدای ما ابدی و جاودانی است.»
9You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up. Don’t be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold, your God!”
9ای سهیون، بر فراز کوه بلند برو. از آنجا مژده بده و ای اورشلیم مژده ات را بدون ترس با تمام قوّت به آواز بلند اعلام کن! به شهرهای یهودا بگو: «خدای تان می آید.»
10Behold, the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.
10ببینید، خداوند متعال می آید و با قدرت بازوی خود حکومت می کند و مردم را مطابق اعمال شان پاداش یا جزا می دهد.
11He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.
11او مثل چوپانی گلۀ خود را می چراند، بره های خود را در آغوش می گیرد و مادرهای شان را با مهربانی هدایت می کند.
12Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
12آیا کسی می تواند آب های اوقیانوس را با کف دست خود پیمانه کند یا آسمان را با بِلِست خود اندازه نماید؟ آیا کسی می تواند خاک زمین را در قپان بریزد یا کوهها و تپه ها را در ترازو وزن کند؟
13Who has directed the Spirit of Yahweh, or has taught him as his counselor?
13آیا کسی می تواند به خداوند بگوید که چه بکند یا مشاور و معلم او باشد؟
14Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
14آیا خدا از کسی مشورت خواسته است که به او دانش بیاموزد یا راه راستی را بنماید و یا فهم و حکمت را به او تعلیم بدهد؟
15Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.
15تمام اقوام جهان پیش خداوند مثل قطرۀ آب در سطل و مانند غبار در ترازو هستند. و جزیره ها را همچون گردِ خاک به هوا بر می دارد.
16Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering.
16تمام حیوانات لبنان جهت قربانی سوختنی برای خدا کافی نیست و همه جنگلهای لبنان برای هیزم قربانی کفایت نمی کند.
17All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.
17همۀ مردم جهان پیش او هیچ هستند و ناچیز بشمار می آیند.
18To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?
18پس با چه کسی می توان خدا را تشبیه کرد و چگونه او را توصیف نمود؟
19A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.
19آیا می توان او را با یک بت مقایسه کرد؟ با بتی که ساختۀ دست بشر و زرگر آنرا با طلا پوشانیده و زنجیر نقره ای به گردنش آویخته است؟
20He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skillful workman to set up an engraved image for him that will not be moved.
20شخصی برای ساختن بت درختی را انتخاب می کند که چوب آن با دوام باشد و آنرا به دست صنعتگر ماهری می دهد تا از آن، یک بت ثابت و محکم برایش بسازد، اما هیچ چیزی بغیر از خدا ثابت و پا برجا نیست.
21Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard, yet? Haven’t you been told from the beginning? Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?
21آیا به شما معلوم نیست و نشنیده اید و از ابتدا کسی به شما خبر نداده است و نفهمیده اید که دنیا چطور بوجود آمده است؟
22It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;
22خدا بر فراز کرۀ زمین نشسته است و ساکنین آن در نظر او مثل ملخ هستند. او آسمان ها را مانند پرده ای پهن می کند و از آن ها برای سکونت خود خیمه می سازد.
23who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth like meaningless.
23رهبران مقتدر را از هستی ساقط می کند و حکمفرمایان روی زمین را از بین می برد
24They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.
24آن ها تازه کاشته شده و هنوز ریشه ندوانیده اند که خدا بر آن ها می دمد و آن ها را پژمرده می سازد و مانند کاه در برابر باد پراگنده می شوند.
25“To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
25خدای مقدس می فرماید: «پس مرا با چه کسی مقایسه می کنید؟ چه کسی می تواند با من برابری نماید؟»
26Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, Not one is lacking.
26به آسمان نگاه کنید. این ستارگانی را که می بینید چه کسی بوجود آورده است؟ کیست که تعداد آن ها را بشمارد و همه را بنام بشناسد؟ خدا با قدرت عظیم و نیروی عجیب خود نمی گذارد که هیچکدام آن ها گم شود.
27Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, “My way is hidden from Yahweh, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?”
27پس ای یعقوب چرا فکر می کنی و ای اسرائیل، چرا می گوئی: «خدا از رنجهای من بی خبر است و به حق من توجهی ندارد؟»
28Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
28آیا ندانسته و نشنیده اید که خداوند، خدای ابدی و آفرینندۀ تمام عالم است. او هرگز درمانده و خسته نمی شود و هیچ کسی نمی تواند به عمق افکار او پی برد.
29He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
29او به ضعیفان نیرو می بخشد و به مردم ناتوان قدرت عطا می کند.
30Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;
30حتی جوانان هم خسته می شوند و دلاوران از پا می افتند،اما آنهای که منتظر خداوند می باشند، نیروی تازه خواهند یافت. آن ها مانند عقاب بال می گشایند. می دوند و خسته نمی شوند، راه می روند و از پا نمی افتند.
31But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
31اما آنهای که منتظر خداوند می باشند، نیروی تازه خواهند یافت. آن ها مانند عقاب بال می گشایند. می دوند و خسته نمی شوند، راه می روند و از پا نمی افتند.
