1“Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delights— I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.
1اینست بندۀ من که از او حمایت می کنم. او برگزیدۀ من است و از او خوشنود و راضی هستم. او را از روح خود پُر کرده ام تا انصاف و عدالت را برای اقوام جهان بیاورد.
2He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.
2او فریاد نمی زند و صدای خود را بلند نمی کند و در جاده ها آوازش شنیده نمی شود.
3He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.
3نَیِ خم شده را نمی شکند و شعلۀ ضعیف را خاموش نمی سازد. او عدالت دایمی را برقرار می کند.
4He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands will wait for his law.”
4مأیوس و دلسرد نمی شود و عدالت را در روی زمین منتشر می سازد و مردم کشورهای دوردست منتظرند تا تعلیمات او را بشنوند.»
5Thus says God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.
5خدا، خداوندی که آسمان ها را آفرید و پهن کرد، زمین و هر چیزی را که در آن است بوجود آورد و به مردمی که بروی آن زندگی می کنند، روح و حیات می بخشد، به بندۀ خود چنین می فرماید:
6“I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations;
6«من که خداوند هستم، ترا به عدالت خوانده ام و به تو قدرت داده ام تا عدالت را در روی زمین برقرار سازی و بوسیلۀ تو با تمام اقوام جهان پیمان می بندم و ترا نور و پیشوای مردم دنیا می سازم.
7to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.
7تو چشمان کورها را باز می کنی، محبوسین را از زندانهای تنگ و تاریک نجات می دهی.
8“I am Yahweh. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.
8من خداوند هستم و نام من همین است. از جلال خود به هیچ کسی نمی دهم و بتها را در ستایش خود شریک نمی کنم.
9Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up.”
9آنچه را که پیشگوئی کرده بودم، صورت گرفت و حالا از وقایع تازه و نَو، قبل از آنکه اتفاق بیفتد، به شما خبر می دهم.»
10Sing to Yahweh a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants.
10ای جزیره ها و ای کسانی که در آن ها زندگی می کنید، از اقصای زمین در وصف خداوند سرود تازه بخوانید. ای بحر و ای کسانی که در آن سفر می کنید و ای همه چیزهائی که در آن هستید، او را بستائید.
11Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains!
11صحرا و خانه هایش، ساکنین قیدار و باشندگان سالع از قله های کوهها سرود خوشی را سر دهند.
12Let them give glory to Yahweh, and declare his praise in the islands.
12مردمی که در کشورهای دور هستند، جلال خداوند را بیان کنند و او را بستایند.
13Yahweh will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.
13خداوند همچون جنگاوری توانا به جنگ خواهد آمد و با فریادهای بلند قدرت خود را به دشمنان نشان می دهد.
14“I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.
14خداوند می فرماید: «برای یک مدت طولانی خاموش ماندم و از خشم خود جلوگیری کردم، اما حالا مثل زنی که در وقت زایمان درد می کشد، فریاد بر می آورم.
15I will destroy mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs. I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.
15کوهها و تپه ها را هموار می کنم، نباتات را از بین می برم، دریاها و جویها را خشک می سازم.
16I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know. I will lead them in paths that they don’t know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.
16نابینایان را به راهی که نرفته اند، هدایت می کنم و به طریقی که نمی شناسند، رهبری می نمایم. تاریکی ای پیشروی شان را به روشنی تبدیل می کنم. راههای کج آن ها را راست می سازم. من همۀ این کارها را برای شان اجرا نموده آن ها را ترک نمی کنم.
17“Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, ‘You are our gods’ will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.
17آنهائی که بر بتهای تراشیده و مجسمه های ریخته شده اعتماد می کنند و آن ها را خدای خود می خوانند، خجل و سرافگنده می شوند.»
18“Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see.
18خداوند می فرماید: «ای مردم کر، بشنوید! شما ای کورها بنگرید و ببینید!
19Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Yahweh’s servant?
19هیچ کسی مثل بندۀ من کور نیست و هیچ شخصی مانند رسولی که من فرستادم، کر نیست.
20You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he doesn’t listen.
20شما ای قوم اسرائیل، به آنچه که دیدید، اعتنائی نکردید و آنچه را که شنیدید، برای تان بی تفاوت بود.»
21It pleased Yahweh, for his righteousness’ sake, to magnify the law, and make it honorable.
21خداوند خواست که عدالت خود را به مردم نشان بدهد، بنابران، برای راهنمائی ایشان قوانین خود را به آن ها داد تا از آن ها پیروی کنند و آن ها را محترم بشمارند،
22But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become a prey, and no one delivers; and a spoil, and no one says, ‘Restore them!’
22اما این قوم توجهی نکردند، لهذا غارت و تاراج شدند، در حفره ها و سیاه چالها زندانی هستند. آن ها غارت شدند، ولی کسی به داد شان نرسید و تاراج شدند، اما کسی نبود به آن ها کمک کند.
23Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear for the time to come?
23آیا در بین شما کسی هست که به این سخنان گوش بدهد و توجه کند و پند بگیرد؟
24Who gave Jacob as plunder, and Israel to the robbers? Didn’t Yahweh, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, and they disobeyed his law.
24چه کسی اجازه داد که اسرائیل غارت و یعقوب تاراج شود؟ آیا همان خداوند نبود که در برابر او گناه کردند، در راه او قدم برنداشتند و از احکام او پیروی ننمودند؟بنابران، این مردم مورد خشم شدید او قرار گرفتند، زیان و ضرر جنگ را دیدند، اما آن ها بازهم عبرت نگرفتند.
25Therefore he poured the fierceness of his anger on him, and the strength of battle; and it set him on fire all around, but he didn’t know; and it burned him, but he didn’t take it to heart.”
25بنابران، این مردم مورد خشم شدید او قرار گرفتند، زیان و ضرر جنگ را دیدند، اما آن ها بازهم عبرت نگرفتند.
