1“Hear this, house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Yahweh, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
1ای خاندان یعقوب که بنام اسرائیل نامیده می شوید و از اولادۀ یهودا هستید، بشنوید! شما به نام خداوند قسم می خورید و نام خدای اسرائیل را یاد می کنید، اما نه به صداقت و راستی.
2(for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; Yahweh of Armies is his name):
2با اینهم افتخار می کنید که از اهالی شهر مقدس هستید و به خدای اسرائیل که نامش خداوند قادر مطلق است، اعتماد دارید.
3I have declared the former things from of old; yes, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they happened.
3خداوند به قوم اسرائیل می فرماید: «آنچه را که می بایست رخ بدهد، مدتها قبل پیشگوئی کرده بودم و به شما گفتم و همه را دفعتاً انجام دادم.
4Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass;
4چون می دانستم که شما مردم لجوج و سنگدل و سرسخت هستید،
5therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it to you; lest you should say, ‘My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.’
5بنابران، همه را پیش از آنکه عملی سازم، برای شما اعلان کردم تا نگوئید: «همۀ آن ها به امر بتهای ما اجراء شدند.»
6You have heard it; see all this; and you, will you not declare it? “I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.
6شما همه چیزهائی را که پیشگوئی کرده بودم، شنیدید و وقوع آن ها را بچشم سر دیدید، باز هم شما اعتراف نمی کنید که پیشگوئی های من صحیح بوده است. از این ببعد، چیزهای تازه را برای شما اعلان می کنم و آنچه را که تا به حال از شما مخفی بود و از آن آگاه نبودید به شما می گویم.
7They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day you didn’t hear them; lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
7این چیزهائی را که حالا بوجود می آورم، در قدیم نبودند و شما دربارۀ آن ها چیزی نشنیده اید، تا دیگر نگوئید: «ما این چیزها را قبلاً می دانستیم.»
8Yes, you didn’t hear; yes, you didn’t know; yes, from of old your ear was not opened: for I knew that you dealt very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb.
8نی، شما این چیزها را قطعاً نه شنیده اید و نه از آن ها اطلاعی داشتید، زیرا من می دانستم که شما مردم خیانتکار هستید و از ابتدای تولد سرکش بوده اید.
9For my name’s sake will I defer my anger, and for my praise will I refrain for you, that I not cut you off.
9اما بخاطر نام خود از خشم خود جلوگیری می کنم و بخاطر جلال خود شما را از بین نمی برم.
10Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
10من شما را مثلیکه نقره را در کوره می آزمایند، در آتش مصیبت امتحان کردم، اما دیدم که شما ارزشی ندارید.
11For my own sake, for my own sake, will I do it; for how should my name be profaned? I will not give my glory to another.
11هر چیزی که کردم، بخاطر خودم بود تا نام من بی حرمت نشود و جلال خود را به کسی دیگری ندهم.»
12“Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
12«ای یعقوب و ای اسرائیل، قوم برگزیدۀ من، بشنوید! من خدا هستم، اول هستم و آخر هستم.
13Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together.
13دست قدرت من اساس زمین را بنا نهاد و آسمان ها را برافراشت و آن ها همه به فرمان من هستند.
14“Assemble yourselves, all you, and hear; who among them has declared these things? He whom Yahweh loves shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
14همۀ تان جمع شوید و گوش بدهید! هیچیک از خدایان نتوانستند پیشگوئی کنند که من شخصی را که به او شفقت دارم، انتخاب کردم تا مرام مرا در بابل عملی سازد و با قدرتی که به او می دهم، حکومت بابل را سقوط بدهد.
15I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
15من تکلم نمودم، من او را خواندم و او را در مأموریتی که به او دادم، موفق می سازم.
16“Come near to me and hear this: “From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I.” Now the Lord Yahweh has sent me, with his Spirit.
16نزدیک بیائید و بشنوید! من از ابتدا با شما آشکارا حرف زده ام و هر چیزی که گفته ام، به حقیقت پیوسته است.» حالا خداوند مرا با روح خود فرستاده است.
17Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.
17خداوند، نجات دهندۀ شما و خدا قدوس اسرائیل این چنین می فرماید: «من خداوند، خدای شما هستم هر چیزی که به شما تعلیم می دهم، به مفاد شما است و شما را به راهی که باید بروید، راهنمائی می کنم.
18Oh that you had listened to my commandments! then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea:
18ای کاش شما به احکام من توجه می کردید، آنوقت سعادت و کامرانی مثل دریا و موفقیت مانند امواج بحر به شما می رسید.
19your seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of your body like its grains: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.
19نسل تان همچون ریگ دریا بی شمار می بود و نمی گذاشتم نام شان و یا خود شان از بین بروند.»
20Go forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say, Yahweh has redeemed his servant Jacob.
20از بابل بیرون بروید و آزاد شوید. با فریاد خوشی به سراسر روی زمین اعلان کنید و بگوئید: «خداوند بندگان خود، قوم اسرائیل را نجات بخشید!»
21They didn’t thirst when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; he split the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
21وقتی آن ها را در بیابان هدایت می کرد، نگذاشت تشنه شوند. او صخره را شگافت و از آن آب جاری ساخت تا آن ها بنوشند.خداوند می فرماید: «برای گناهکاران سلامتی نخواهد بود.»
22“There is no peace,” says Yahweh, “for the wicked.”
22خداوند می فرماید: «برای گناهکاران سلامتی نخواهد بود.»
