1“Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek Yahweh: look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from.
1خداوند می فرماید: «ای کسانی که پیرو عدالت و طالب خداوند هستید، سخنان مرا بشنوید. به صخره ای که از آن جدا گشته اید و به معدنی که از آن استخراج شده اید، فکر کنید.
2Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
2به ابراهیم که جد تان است و به ساره که اولادۀ او هستید، بیندیشید. هنگامی که ابراهیم را دعوت کردم، بی اولاد بود، اما من او را برکت دادم، به او فرزندان زیاد بخشیدم و اولادۀ او را بیشمار ساختم.
3For Yahweh has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yahweh; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
3من به سهیون شفقت نشان می دهم، خرابی هایش را آباد می کنم، بیابانش را مثل باغ عدن گلزار می سازم. صحرای خشک و لامزروع آنرا به باغ سرسبز تبدیل می کنم. خوشی و شادمانی در همه جا حکمفرما می شود و سرود شکرگزاری و آواز خوشی از همه جا به گوش می رسد.
4“Attend to me, my people; and give ear to me, my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
4ای قوم برگزیدۀ من، به سخنان من گوش بدهید و ای ملتها به من توجه کنید، زیرا من احکام و قوانینی را وضع کرده به اقوام جهان می دهم و عدالت را برقرار می نسازم تا به زندگی آن ها روشنی بخشد.
5My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the peoples; the islands shall wait for me, and on my arm shall they trust.
5عدالت من نزدیک است و نجات من ظاهر شدنی است. خودم بر قوم ها داوری می کنم و سرزمین های دوردست که انتظار مرا می کشند، به قدرت بازوی من امید خواهند کرد.
6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and those who dwell therein shall die in the same way: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
6به آسمان ها نظر اندازید و پائین به زمین نگاه کنید، زیرا روزی آسمان ها مثل دود محو می گردد و زمین مانند لباس، کهنه می شود. ساکنین آن همچون مگس می میرند. اما نجاتی که من می دهم، ابدی بوده عدالت من انتها ندارد.
7“Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; don’t fear the reproach of men, neither be dismayed at their insults.
7ای کسانی که عدالت را می شناسید و احکام و قوانین مرا در دل دارید، از آنهائی که شما را سرزنش می کنند و دشنام می دهند، نترسید،
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation to all generations.”
8زیرا آن ها مثل جامۀ کویه خورده از بین می روند و مانند پشم ذریعۀ کرمها خورده می شوند، ولی عدالت من برای همیشه می باشد و نجاتی که من می بخشم، نسل اندر نسل باقی می ماند.»
9Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of Yahweh; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?
9ای خداوند، برخیز و قدرت خود را آشکار ساز و مثلیکه در گذشته ما را نجات دادی، حالا هم با قدرت خود ما را نجات بده. تو بودی که راحاب (هیولای بحری) را پارچه پارچه کردی،
10Isn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
10بحر را خشک ساختی، در عمق آن راه باز کردی تا قومت را که آزاد نمودی، از آن عبور کنند.
11The ransomed of Yahweh shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They shall obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
11فدیه شدگان خداوند بازگشت نموده و با خوشی و سرائیدن سرود به سهیون می رسند. از سرور و شادمانی ابدی برخوردار می شوند و غم و اندوه شان پایان می یابد.
12“I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;
12خداوند می فرماید: «از انسان فانی که عاقبت مثل گیاه پژمرده شده از بین می رود، نترسید، زیرا من به شما تسلی و نیرو می بخشم.
13and have forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
13شما خداوند را که خالق شما است و آسمان ها را برافراشت و اساس زمین را بنا نهاد، فراموش کرده اید؟ چرا همیشه از آنهائی که بر شما ظلم و ستم می کنند و برای هلاکت شما آماده اند، می ترسید و تمام روز از خشم آن ها می هراسید؟ زیرا خشم آن ها به شما آسیبی نمی رساند.
14The captive exile shall speedily be freed; and he shall not die and go down into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.
14از ظلم ظالمان بزودی رهائی می یابید و دیگر در زندانها گرسنه نمی مانید و نمی میرید.
15For I am Yahweh your God, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar: Yahweh of Armies is his name.
15زیرا من، خداوند، خدای شما هستم و نام من خداوند قادر مطلق است، بحر را به تلاطم می آورم و امواج آنرا خروشان می سازم.
16I have put my words in your mouth, and have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and tell Zion, ‘You are my people.’”
16من کلام خود را به شما دادم و شما را در زیر سایۀ دست خود حفظ می کنم. آسمان ها را برافراشتم و اساس زمین را بنا نهادم و به سهیون می گویم: تو قوم برگزیدۀ من هستی.»
17Awake, awake, stand up, Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of Yahweh the cup of his wrath; you have drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.
17برخیز ای اورشلیم، بیدار شو! تو از کاسۀ غضب خداوند نوش کردی. تو همۀ آنرا نوشیدی و سرت گیچ می رود.
18There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any who takes her by the hand among all the sons who she has brought up.
18از باشندگانت کسی باقی نمانده است و از آنهائی که در تو پرورش یافته بودند، کسی نیست تا دست ترا بگیرد و به تو کمک کند.
19These two things have happened to you. Who will bemoan you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort you?
19این بلاها دامنگیر تو شده اند ـ ویرانی و هلاکت، قحطی و شمشیر ـ و کسی نیست که به تو تسلی و دلداری بدهد.
20Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Yahweh, the rebuke of your God.
20ساکنینت مانند آهوانی که در دام صیاد گرفتار شده باشند، در هر گوشه و کنار جاده ها بی حال شده اند، زیرا غضب خداوند بر آن ها آمده است و خداوند آن ها را تنبیه می کند.
21Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
21پس ای رنجدیدگان که مست و گیچ هستید، اما نه از شراب، بشنوید.
22Thus says your Lord Yahweh, and your God who pleads the cause of his people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; you shall no more drink it again:
22خداوند، خدای شما، از شما دفاع می کند و می فرماید: «کاسۀ غضب خود را که شما را سرگیچ ساخته است، از دست شما پس می گیرم و نمی گذارم که دیگر از آن بنوشید.من آنرا به دست کسانی می دهم که بر شما ظلم کرده اند و شما را مجبور می سازند که به پشت دراز بکشید تا آن ها مثلیکه در سرکها راه می روند، بر شما قدم بگذارند.»
23and I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, ‘Bow down, that we may walk over you;’ and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to those who walk over.”
23من آنرا به دست کسانی می دهم که بر شما ظلم کرده اند و شما را مجبور می سازند که به پشت دراز بکشید تا آن ها مثلیکه در سرکها راه می روند، بر شما قدم بگذارند.»
