1Awake, awake, put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean.
1بیدار شو ای سهیون، برخیز و دوباره خود را نیرومند ساز! ای شهر مقدس اورشلیم، با لباس قشنگ ملبس شو، زیرا اشخاص نجس دیگر به دروازۀ تو داخل نمی شوند.
2Shake yourself from the dust! Arise, sit up, Jerusalem! Release yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion!
2ای اورشلیم، ای دختر سهیون اسیر، خود را تکان بده و آزاد شو و بند غلامی را از گردنت باز کن!
3For thus says Yahweh, “You were sold for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money.”
3خداوند چنین می فرماید: «تو مفت فروخته شدی و مفت هم آزاد می شوی.»
4For thus says the Lord Yahweh, “My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.
4خدای متعال چنین می فرماید: «مدتها قبل قوم برگزیدۀ من به مصر رفتند و در آنجا ساکن شدند. بعد آشوریان آن ها را به اسارت بردند و بی جهت بر آن ها ستم کردند.
5“Now therefore, what do I do here,” says Yahweh, “seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them mock,” says Yahweh, “and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.
5حالا در بابل هم بر آن ها ظلم می شود و آن ها را به رایگان غلام خود ساخته اند. حاکمان شان به آن ها فخر می فروشند، بخود می بالند و همیشه و تمام روز نام مرا بی حرمت می سازند.
6Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who speaks; behold, it is I.”
6اما روزی آمدنی است که قوم من به قدرت من اعتراف می کنند و پی می برند که من خدا هستم، بلی خودم هستم که با آن ها حرف می زنم.»
7How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
7چه زیباست پاهای قاصدی که از کوهستان می رسد، مژدۀ صلح را می آورد، اعلام آزادی می کند و به سهیون می گوید: «خدای تو سلطنت می کند.»
8The voice of your watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when Yahweh returns to Zion.
8آنهائی که از شهر نگهبانی می کنند، از خوشی فریاد می زنند و می گویند که آمدن خداوند را بر سهیون با چشمان خود می بینند.
9Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for Yahweh has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.
9ای خرابه های اورشلیم، با آواز بلند با هم بسرائید، زیرا خداوند به قوم برگزیدۀ خود تسلی می دهد و اورشلیم را نجات می بخشد.
10Yahweh has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
10خداوند در برابر چشمان تمام قوم ها قدرت خدائی خود را به کار می برد، قوم اسرائیل را نجات می دهد و مردم سراسر جهان نجات خداوند ما را می بینند.
11Depart, depart, go out from there, touch no unclean thing! Go out of the midst of her! Cleanse yourselves, you who bear the vessels of Yahweh.
11ای کسانی که ظروف عبادتگاه خداوند را حمل می کنید، از بابل خارج شوید و آنجا را پشت سر بگذارید، خود را پاک سازید و به چیزهای نجس دست نزنید.
12For you shall not go out in haste, neither shall you go by flight: for Yahweh will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
12این بار شما مجبور نیستید که با عجله آنجا را ترک کنید و بگریزید، زیرا خداوند پیشاپیش شما می رود و خدای اسرائیل از پیش رو و پشت سر حافظ شما می باشد.
13Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
13خداوند می فرماید: «بندۀ من در کار خود موفق و سربلند می شود و بسیار ترقی می کند.
14Like as many were astonished at you (his appearance was marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),
14بسیاری از مردم وقتی او را ببینند، متعجب می شوند، زیرا چهرۀ او آنقدر تغییر کرده است که به انسان نمی ماند.پادشاهان جهان دهان خود را می بندند، زیرا چیزهائی را می بینند که هرگز برای شان بیان نشده و چیزهائی را می فهمند که قبلاً نشنیده بودند.»
15so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.
15پادشاهان جهان دهان خود را می بندند، زیرا چیزهائی را می بینند که هرگز برای شان بیان نشده و چیزهائی را می فهمند که قبلاً نشنیده بودند.»
