1Thus says Yahweh to me, Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.
1خداوند به من فرمود: «برو یک کمربند کتانی بخر و بدور کمرت ببند، اما آنرا در آب غوطه نکن.»
2So I bought a belt according to the word of Yahweh, and put it on my waist.
2پس من یک کمربند خریدم و بدور کمرم بستم.
3The word of Yahweh came to me the second time, saying,
3بار دوم خداوند به من فرمود:
4Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.
4«به کنار دریای فرات برو و آن کمربند را در شگاف صخره ای پنهان کن.»
5So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.
5من رفتم و مطابق هدایت خداوند آن را پنهان کردم.
6It happened after many days, that Yahweh said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.
6بعد از یک زمان طولانی خداوند به من فرمود: «حالا برو و کمربند را از دریای فرات بیاور.»
7Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
7من به کنار دریای فرات رفتم و کمربند را از جائی که پنهان کرده بودم، آوردم، اما دیدم که کمربند بکلی شاریده بود و از آن کاری گرفته نمی شد.
8Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
8آنگاه خداوند فرمود: «به همین قسم من غرور یهودا و اورشلیم را از بین می برم.
9Thus says Yahweh, In this way I will mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
9وضع این مردم شریر که به کلام من گوش نمی دهند و با سرسختی دنبال هوسهای نفسانی خود می روند و خدایان دیگر را پیروی و پرستش می کنند، مثل همان کمربند می شود و به درد هیچ کاری نمی خورند.
10This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.
10همانطوری که کمربند به کمر بسته می شود، من هم تمام مردم اسرائیل و یهودا را محکم به خود بسته می کردم تا قوم برگزیدۀ من باشند و باعث عزت و افتخار نام من شوند، اما آن ها از من اطاعت نکردند.»
11For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says Yahweh; that they may be to me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
11خداوند، خدای اسرائیل چنین فرمود: «به آن ها بگو که همه خُمهای آن ها از شراب پُر می شوند.» اما آن ها به تو می گویند: «آیا خود ما نمی دانستیم که خُمهای ما از شراب پُر می شوند؟»
12Therefore you shall speak to them this word: Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall tell you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
12تو به آن ها بگو که خداوند چنین می فرماید: «تمام ساکنین این سرزمین را ـ از پادشاهانی که بر تخت داود می نشینند تا کاهنان و انبیاء و باشندگان اورشلیم ـ با شراب نشئه می سازم.
13Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
13آنگاه آن ها را و حتی والدین و فرزندان را به جان یکدیگر می اندازم، بدون رحم و شفقت آن ها را هلاک می کنم و هیچ کسی را زنده نمی گذارم.»
14I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says Yahweh: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.
14بشنوید و توجه کنید و مغرور نباشید! خداوند فرموده است.
15Hear, and give ear; don’t be proud; for Yahweh has spoken.
15خداوند، خدای تان را احترام کنید، پیش از آنکه ظلمت را پدید آوَرَد و پای تان بر کوههای تاریک بلغزد و آن نوری را که در انتظارش بودید به تاریکی مطلق و ظلمت سهمگین تبدیل کند.
16Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it gross darkness.
16اگر گوش نکنید، بخاطر غرور شما در خفا گریه خواهم کرد و به تلخی اشک خواهم ریخت، زیرا قوم برگزیدۀ خداوند به اسارت برده می شود.
17But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for your pride; and my eye shall weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock is taken captive.
17خداوند به من فرمود: «به پادشاه و مادرش بگو که از تخت سلطنت پائین شوند، زیرا تاج باشکوه شاهی از سر شان برداشته شده است.
18Say to the king and to the queen mother, Humble yourselves, sit down; for your headdresses have come down, even the crown of your glory.
18دروازه های شهرهای جنوب یهودا بسته شده اند و کسی نیست که آن ها را باز کند. همۀ مردم یهودا به اسارت رفته اند.
19The cities of the South are shut up, and there is none to open them: Judah is carried away captive, all of it; it is wholly carried away captive.
19بنگر، دشمن از سوی شمال می آید. کجاست آن گلۀ زیبائی که به دست تو سپرده بودم؟
20Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
20وقتیکه یارانت ترا شکست بدهند و بر تو حکومت کنند، چه می گوئی؟ مثل زنی که در حال زایمان باشد، درد می کشی.
21What will you say, when he shall set over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? shall not sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
21اما اگر از خود بپرسی که چرا این مصیبت ها بر سرت می آیند؛ بدان که بخاطر کثرت گناهانت این چنین رسوا و بی عفت شدی.
22If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence.
22آیا یک حبشی می تواند رنگ پوست خود را تغییر بدهد یا یک پلنگ می تواند خالهای خود را پاک کند؟ تو هم چون به کارهای بد عادت کرده ای، نمی توانی کار خوب بکنی.»
23Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, who are accustomed to do evil.
23خداوند می فرماید: «بنابران، سرنوشتی که من برایت تعیین کرده ام اینست: من ترا مثل کاهی که در اثر باد صحرا پراگنده می شود، پراگنده می سازم، زیرا تو مرا فراموش کرده و به چیزهای دروغ اعتماد نموده ای.
24Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passes away, by the wind of the wilderness.
24من ترا برهنه ساخته و رسوا می کنم.فسق و فساد و زناکاری و کارهای شرم آورت را دیدم که بر تپه ها و در مزارع می کردی. افسوس بحال تو ای اورشلیم، تا چه وقت می خواهی ناپاک بمانی؟»
25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says Yahweh; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
25فسق و فساد و زناکاری و کارهای شرم آورت را دیدم که بر تپه ها و در مزارع می کردی. افسوس بحال تو ای اورشلیم، تا چه وقت می خواهی ناپاک بمانی؟»
26Therefore will I also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame shall appear.
27I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean; how long shall it yet be?
