¹It happened the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of Yahweh, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

¹در همان سال، در آغاز سلطنت صدقیا، پادشاه یهودا، در ماه پنجمِ سال چهارم، حننیای نبی (پسر عزور) که از اهالی جِبعون بود، در عبادتگاه ایستاد و در حضور کاهنان و مردم خطاب به من کرده گفت که

²Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

²خداوند قادر مطلق، خدای اسرائیل چنین می فرماید: «من یوغ بندگی پادشاه بابل را از دوش شما برداشته ام.

³Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon:

³در ظرف دو سال تمام ظروف عبادتگاه را که نبوکدنصر به بابل برده بود، دوباره به اینجا می آورم.

⁴and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

⁴همچنین یهویاکین (پسر یَهویاقیم) پادشاه یهودا را با تمام کسانی که اسیر شده بودند، به اینجا باز می گردانم و یوغ بندگی را که پادشاه بابل بر دوش شما نهاده است می شکنم.» خداوند فرموده است.

⁵Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in the house of Yahweh,

⁵آنگاه من در حضور کاهنان و مردمی که در عبادتگاه حاضر بودند، به حننیای نبی گفتم:

⁶even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place.

⁶«آمین! خداوند تمام پیشگوئی هایت را عملی سازد و همه ظروف و اسباب عبادتگاه را با کسانی که در بابل اسیر اند، دوباره به اینجا بیاورد.

⁷Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people:

⁷اما تو هم در حضور این مردم به سخنان من گوش بده.

⁸The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

⁸انبیای گذشته که سالها پیش از من و تو بوده اند، دربارۀ جنگ، قحطی، وُبا و علیه کشورها و سلطنت های بزرگ پیشگوئی می کردند.

⁹The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.

⁹اما آن نبی که در بارۀ صلح پیشگوئی می کند، اگر پیشگوئی او عملی شود، آن وقت ثابت می گردد که خداوند او را فرستاده است.»

¹⁰Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it.

¹⁰آنگاه حننیای نبی یوغ را از گردن ارمیا برداشت و آن را شکست.

¹¹Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way.

¹¹بعد در حضور مردم گفت که خداوند چنین می فرماید: «در ظرف دو سال یوغ بندگی نبوکدنصر، پادشاه بابل را به همین ترتیب از گردن همه اقوام بر می دارم و آن را می شکنم.» بعد ارمیا از آنجا بیرون رفت.

¹²Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

¹²بعد از آنکه حننیای نبی یوغی را که بر گردن ارمیا بود، شکست، خداوند به ارمیا فرمود:

¹³Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron.

¹³«برو به حننیا بگو که خداوند چنین می فرماید: تو یوغ چوبی را شکستی، اما یوغ آهنی جای آن را می گیرد!

¹⁴For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also.

¹⁴زیرا من، خداوند قادر مطلق، خدای اسرائیل، یوغ آهنی را بر گردن این اقوام می اندازم تا خدمتِ نبوکدنصر، پادشاه بابل را بکنند. من حتی حیوانات وحشی را رام او ساخته ام.»

¹⁵Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie.

¹⁵آنگاه ارمیا به حننیای نبی گفت: «ای حننیا، بشنو! خداوند ترا نفرستاده است. تو مردم را وادار ساختی که دروغهای ترا باور کنند،

¹⁶Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.

¹⁶بنابران، خداوند می فرماید که او ترا از روی زمین محو می سازد و در ظرف یک سال می میری، زیرا تو در مقابل او تمرد کرده ای.»حننیا در ماه هفتم همان سال مُرد.

¹⁷So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
