¹“Why aren’t times laid up by the Almighty? Why don’t those who know him see his days?

¹چرا خدا وقتی را برای داوری تعیین نمی کند؟ تا چه وقت بندگان او انتظار بکشند؟

²There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.

²مردم بدکار حدود زمین را تغییر می دهند تا مُلک زیادتر به دست آورند. گلۀ مردم را می دزدند و به چراگاه خود می برند.

³They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

³خرهای یتیمان را می ربایند و گاو بیوه زنان را گرو می گیرند.

⁴They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.

⁴مردم مسکین را از حق شان محروم می سازند و نیازمندان از ترس آن ها خود را مخفی می کنند.

⁵Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children.

⁵مردم فقیر مانند خرهای وحشی بخاطر به دست آوردن خوراک برای خود و فرزندان خود در بیابان زحمت می کشند.

⁶They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.

⁶در کشتزاری که از خود شان نیست درو می کنند و در تاکستان شریران خوشه می چینند.

⁷They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.

⁷شبها برهنه و بدون لباس و رخت خواب در سرما می خوابند.

⁸They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.

⁸در زیر باران کوهستان، تر می شوند و در بین صخره ها پناه می برند.

⁹There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor,

⁹اشخاص ظالم کودکان یتیم را از آغوش مادران شان می ربایند و اطفال فقیران را در مقابل قرض خود گرو می گیرند.

¹⁰So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.

¹⁰این مردم مسکین برهنه و با شکم گرسنه محصول دیگران را حمل می کنند.

¹¹They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.

¹¹در کارخانه ها روغن زیتون می کَشَند و شراب می سازند، بدون آنکه خود شان مزۀ آنرا بچشند.

¹²From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn’t regard the folly.

¹²صدای ناله و فریاد ستمدیدگان و زخمیانِ در حال مرگ از شهر بگوش می رسد و کمک می طلبند، اما خدا به نالۀ آن ها توجه نمی کند.

¹³“These are of those who rebel against the light. They don’t know its ways, nor stay in its paths.

¹³بعضی کسانی هستند که علیه نور تمرد می کنند؛ راه آن را نمی شناسند و در آن راه نمی روند.

¹⁴The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.

¹⁴آدمکشان صبح وقت بر می خیزند تا مردم فقیر و محتاج را به قتل برسانند و منتظر شب می مانند تا دزدی و زنا کنند و می گویند: کسی ما را نمی بیند.

¹⁵The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye shall see me.’ He disguises his face.

¹⁵شبها برای دزدی در خانه های مردم نقب می زنند و در ظرف روز خود را پنهان می کنند و روی روشنی را نمی بینند.

¹⁶In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They don’t know the light.

¹⁶شب تاریک برای آن ها مثل روشنی صبح است، زیرا سر و کار شان با وحشتِ تاریکی است.»

¹⁷For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

¹⁷«شخص شریر دستخوش سیل و طوفان می شود و مُلک و زمین او مورد لعنت خدا قرار می گیرد و بی ثمر می ماند.

¹⁸“They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They don’t turn into the way of the vineyards.

¹⁸خشکی و گرما آب برف را تبخیر می سازد و گناهکاران در کام مرگ فرو می روند.

¹⁹Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. those who have sinned.

¹⁹حتی مادران شان هم آن ها را از یاد می برند و فراموش می کنند و اثری از آن ها باقی نمی ماند.

²⁰The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

²⁰به زنان بی اولاد آزار می رسانند و به بیوه زنان احسان نمی کنند.

²¹He devours the barren who don’t bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.

²¹خدا با قدرت خود عمر زورمندان را طولانی می سازد. آن ها ظاهراً موفق به نظر می رسند، اما در واقع امیدی در زندگی ندارند.

²²Yet God preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.

²²شاید خدا به آن ها در زندگی امنیت ببخشد و از آن ها حمایت کند، ولی همیشه مراقب اعمال آن ها است.

²³God gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.

²³برای مدتی موفق می شوند، لیکن بزودی مثل علف پژمرده می شوند و مانند خوشه های گندم قطع می گردند.حالا، آیا کسی می تواند سخنان مرا تکذیب کند و حقیقت آن را ثابت نماید؟»

²⁴They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.

²⁴حالا، آیا کسی می تواند سخنان مرا تکذیب کند و حقیقت آن را ثابت نماید؟»

²⁵If it isn’t so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?”
