¹Then Job answered,

¹ایوب جواب داد:

²“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

²«چه مددگاران خوبی برای منِ مسکین و بیچاره هستید.

³How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

³و با پندهای عالی و گفتار حکیمانه مرا متوجه حماقتم ساختید.

⁴To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?

⁴چه کسی به این سخنان شما گوش می دهد و چه کسی این حرفها را به شما الهام کرده است؟»

⁵“Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

⁵«ارواح مردگان، آبها و موجوداتی که در آن ها زندگی می کنند، در حضور خدا می لرزند.

⁶ Sheol Sheol is the lower world or the grave. is naked before God, and Abaddon Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.

⁶در دنیای اموات همه چیز برای او آشکار است و هیچ چیزی از نظر او پوشیده نیست.

⁷He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

⁷خدا آسمان را بر فضا پهن کرد و زمین را بی ستون معلق نگهداشته است.

⁸He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

⁸او ابر ها را از آب پُر می سازد و ابر ها از سنگینی آن نمی ترکد.

⁹He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

⁹روی تخت خود را با ابر می پوشاند و از نظرها پنهان می کند.

¹⁰He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.

¹⁰او افق را بر روی اقیانوسها کشید و ذریعۀ آن سرحد تاریکی و روشنی را تعیین کرد.

¹¹The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

¹¹از نهیب او ستونهای آسمان به لرزه می آیند.

¹²He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

¹²با قدرت خود بحر متلاطم را آرام می سازد و با حکمت خود هیولای بحری را رام می کند.

¹³By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

¹³روح او آسمان ها را زینت داده است و دست او مار تیزرَو را هلاک کرده است.اینها فقط ذره ای از قدرت او و شمه ای از کارروائی های او است که ما می شنویم، اما هیچ کسی حتی قیاس کرده نمی تواند که خدا چقدر توانا و با عظمت است.»

¹⁴Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

¹⁴اینها فقط ذره ای از قدرت او و شمه ای از کارروائی های او است که ما می شنویم، اما هیچ کسی حتی قیاس کرده نمی تواند که خدا چقدر توانا و با عظمت است.»
