¹There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.

¹در کوهستان افرایم مردی بنام میخا زندگی می کرد.

²He said to his mother, “The eleven hundred pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse, and also spoke it in my ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it.” His mother said, “Blessed be my son of Yahweh.”

²یکروز به مادر خود گفت: «آن یازده صد مثقال نقره را که تو فکر می کردی دزدی شده و بخاطر آن شنیدم که دشنام دادی، آن پول پیش من است.» مادرش گفت: «بخاطریکه اقرار کردی، خداوند برکتت بدهد، فرزندم.»

³He restored the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother; and his mother said, “I most certainly dedicate the silver to Yahweh from my hand for my son, to make an engraved image and a molten image. Now therefore I will restore it to you.”

³و میخا پول را به مادر خود پس داد. مادرش گفت: «من این نقره را از طرف پسرم وقف خداوند می کنم تا مجسمه های تراشیده و ریختگی ساخته شوند. بنابران، نقره را به تو می دهم.»

⁴When he restored the money to his mother, his mother took two hundred pieces of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made of it an engraved image and a molten image: and it was in the house of Micah.

⁴پس وقتی نقره را به مادر خود مسترد کرد، مادرش دوصد مثقال آنرا به زرگر داد که از آن مجسمه های تراشیده و ریختگی بسازد و آن ها را در خانۀ میخا گذاشت.

⁵The man Micah had a house of gods, and he made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.

⁵میخا بُتخانه ای داشت و بت می ساخت. و یکی از پسران خود را بعنوان کاهن خود مقرر کرد.

⁶In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

⁶در آن زمان مردم اسرائیل پادشاهی نداشتند و هر کس هر کاری که دلش می خواست، می کرد.

⁷There was a young man out of Bethlehem Judah, of the family of Judah, who was a Levite; and he lived there.

⁷یک جوان لاوی از قبیلۀ یهودا خواست از بیت لحم به افرایم برود تا جائی برای سکونت پیدا کند.

⁸The man departed out of the city, out of Bethlehem Judah, to live where he could find a place, and he came to the hill country of Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he traveled.

⁸بنابران، شهر بیت لحم یهودا را ترک کرد و به کوهستان افرایم رفت و در راه سفر به خانۀ میخا توقف کرد.

⁹Micah said to him, “Where did you come from?” He said to him, “I am a Levite of Bethlehem Judah, and I am looking for a place to live.”

⁹میخا از او پرسید: «از کجا آمده ای؟» او جواب داد: «من یک لاوی هستم و از شهر بیت لحم یهودا آمده ام تا جائی برای سکونت پیدا کنم.»

¹⁰Micah said to him, “Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.

¹⁰میخا به او گفت: «بیا با من زندگی کن و برای من پدر و کاهن باش. من به تو سالانه ده مثقال نقره، یک دست لباس و دیگر مصارفت را می دهم.»

¹¹The Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.

¹¹مرد لاوی موافقه کرد که با او زندگی کند و میخا با او مثل یکی از پسران خود رفتار می کرد.

¹²Micah consecrated the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.

¹²به این ترتیب، میخا او را بحیث کاهن شخصی خود انتخاب کرد.بعد میخا به او گفت: «حالا یقین دارم که خداوند به مال و دارائی من برکت می دهد، زیرا یک لاوی به عنوان کاهن برای من کار می کند.»

¹³Then Micah said, “Now know I that Yahweh will do good to me, since I have a Levite to my priest.”

¹³بعد میخا به او گفت: «حالا یقین دارم که خداوند به مال و دارائی من برکت می دهد، زیرا یک لاوی به عنوان کاهن برای من کار می کند.»
