1How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He has cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty of Israel, And hasn’t remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.
1خداوند دختر سهیون را با ابر خشم و غضب خود تیره و تار ساخت. شُکوه و زیبائی اسرائیل را که به اوج آسمان می رسید بر زمین زد و در هنگام خشم خود حتی عبادتگاه خویش را هم از یاد برد.
2The Lord has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought them down to the ground; he has profaned the kingdom and its princes.
2خداوند خانه های اسرائیل را بی رحمانه ویران کرد. با قهر و غضب قلعه های یهودا را منهدم ساخت. سلطنتش را بی حرمت و حاکمانش را خوار کرد.
3He has cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel; He has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy: He has burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours all around.
3با خشم شدید، قدرت اسرائیل را در هم شکست و در هنگامی که دشمن بر ما حمله کرد به داد ما نرسید. خشم او مانند آتش علیه ما شعله ور شد و هست و بود ما را نابود کرد.
4He has bent his bow like an enemy, he has stood with his right hand as an adversary, Has killed all that were pleasant to the eye: In the tent of the daughter of Zion he has poured out his wrath like fire.
4مثل دشمن ما را هدف تیر خود قرار داد و جوانان ما را که مایۀ خوشی و سرفرازی ما بودند، هلاک ساخت و در خانه های خود، در سهیون، سوزش آتش غضب او را احساس کردیم.
5The Lord has become as an enemy, he has swallowed up Israel; He has swallowed up all her palaces, he has destroyed his strongholds; He has multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
5خداوند مثل یک دشمن اسرائیل را نابود ساخت. قصرها و قلعه هایش را بخاک یکسان کرد و یهودا را به ماتمسرا تبدیل نمود.
6He has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden; he has destroyed his place of assembly: Yahweh has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, Has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
6خداوند خانۀ خود را که عبادتگاه ما بود ویران کرد. به روزهای عید و ایام سَبَت خاتمه داد و پادشاه و کاهن را یکسان مورد خشم و غضب خود قرار داد.
7The Lord has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary; He has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: They have made a noise in the house of Yahweh, as in the day of a solemn assembly.
7خداوند قربانگاه خود را ترک کرد و عبادتگاه مقدس خود را خوار شمرد. قصرهای اورشلیم را به دشمنان سپرد و به آن ها اجازه داد که دیوارهای شان را خراب کنند. در عبادتگاه مقدس خداوند که زمانی جایگاه عبادت مردم بود، حالا دشمنان ساز پیروزی و خوشی را می نوازند.
8Yahweh has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion; He has stretched out the line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together.
8خداوند تصمیم گرفته است تا دیوارهای شهر اورشلیم را ویران سازد. او همۀ شهر را برای ویرانی اندازه گیری کرد تا بکلی خراب شود و هیچ قسمت آن آباد نماند و حتی برجها و حصارهایش هم فرو ریزند.
9Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not; Yes, her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.
9دروازه های شهر در زمین فرورفته و میله های شان شکسته اند. پادشاه و حاکمانش در کشورهای دیگر تبعید شده اند. احکام خداوند دیگر تعلیم داده نمی شوند و انبیاء هم از جانب خداوند رؤیا نمی بینند.
10The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground, they keep silence; They have cast up dust on their heads; they have clothed themselves with sackcloth: The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
10مو سفیدان اورشلیم با لباس ماتم بر زمین نشسته اند و بر سر خود خاک می ریزند. دوشیزگان اورشلیم از غم و اندوه سر بر زمین نهاده اند.
11My eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled; My liver is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.
11بخاطر مصیبتی که بر قوم من آمده و اطفال و کودکان شیرخوار در جاده های شهر از حال رفته اند، چشمانم از گریه تار شده اند، روحم افسرده و غمگین است و دلم از غم به جوش آمده است.
12They tell their mothers, Where is grain and wine? When they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, When their soul is poured out into their mothers’ bosom.
12آن ها با تن مجروح، گرسنه و تشنه در جاده ها افتاده اند. از مادران خود خوراک می طلبند و در آغوش آن ها جان می دهند.
13What shall I testify to you? what shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?
13ای دختر اورشلیم، به تو چه بگویم و حال ترا با چه کسی مقایسه کنم؟ ای دختر سهیون چگونه تسلی ات بدهم؟ زیرا هیچ کسی مثل تو رنج نکشیده است. غمها و مصیبت هایت همچون بحرِ عظیم و بیکران است و کسی نیست که ترا شفا بدهد.
14Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captivity, but have seen for you false oracles and causes of banishment.
14کلام انبیایت همه دروغ بود. با موعظه های خود ترا فریفته و گناهانت را آشکار نساخته اند و با پیامهای دروغ خود ترا قانع ساخته اند که گناهی نکرده ای و مجبور نیستی که توبه کنی.
15All that pass by clap their hands at you. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men called The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
15هر کسی که از کنار تو می گذرد، با تمسخر سر خود را تکان می دهد و می گوید: «آیا این همان شهری نیست که با زیبائی کامل خود محبوب ترین شهرهای جهان و مایۀ خوشی همۀ مردم بود؟»
16All your enemies have opened their mouth wide against you; They hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, We have swallowed her up; Certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.
16تمام دشمنانت ترا مسخره می کنند و با نفرت به تو می نگرند و می گویند: «برای همین روز انتظار می کشیدیم و ببینید که چطور نابودش کردیم.»
17Yahweh has done that which he purposed; he has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old; He has thrown down, and has not pitied: He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you; he has exalted the horn of your adversaries.
17خداوند آنچه را که سالها پیش اراده فرموده بود، بالاخره انجام داد. ما را با بیرحمی نابود کرد و دشمنان ما را بر ما پیروز و آنها را از شکست ما خوشحال ساخت.
18Their heart cried to the Lord: wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no respite; don’t let the apple of your eye cease.
18ای دیوار سهیون، به آواز بلند بحضور خداوند گریه کن! شب و روز سیلاب اشک را از دیده جاری ساز و از گریه و اندوه دست برندار.
19Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord: Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street.
19شب هنگام برخیزید و غم و درد دل تان را مثل آب در حضور خداوند بریزید. برای کودکان تان که در جاده ها از گرسنگی بی حال افتاده اند، دست دعا را بلند کنید.
20Look, Yahweh, and see to whom you have done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?
20ای خداوند، چرا با ما این چنین رفتار می کنی؟ زنها کودکان نازپرور خود را می خورند. کاهنان و انبیاء در خانۀ تو به قتل رسیده اند.
21The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; My virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: You have killed them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered, and not pitied.
21پیر و جوان در کوچه ها در خاک و خون می غلتند. دوشیزگان و مردان جوان با شمشیر کشته شده اند. در روز غضبت همه را کشتی و رحمی بر آن ها نکردی.تو دشمنان را دعوت کردی که بر من هجوم آورند و آن ها مثل کسانی که در جشنها جمع می شوند، آمدند و از هر طرف مرا به وحشت انداختند. در هنگام غضبت کسی نتوانست جان سالم بدر بَرَد. دشمنان فرزندان محبوب مرا که در آغوش خود پرورده بودم، هلاک کردند.
22You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side; There was none that escaped or remained in the day of Yahweh’s anger: Those that I have dandled and brought up has my enemy consumed.
22تو دشمنان را دعوت کردی که بر من هجوم آورند و آن ها مثل کسانی که در جشنها جمع می شوند، آمدند و از هر طرف مرا به وحشت انداختند. در هنگام غضبت کسی نتوانست جان سالم بدر بَرَد. دشمنان فرزندان محبوب مرا که در آغوش خود پرورده بودم، هلاک کردند.
