1I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
1من آن کسی هستم که از خشم و غضب خدا رنج و مصیبت دیده ام.
2He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
2او مرا در اعماق تاریکی بُرد که دیگر روشنی را نمی بینم.
3Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.
3او بر ضد من برخاسته است و دست او برای زدن من همیشه بالا است.
4My flesh and my skin has he made old; he has broken my bones.
4گوشت و پوست بدن مرا فرسوده ساخته و استخوانهایم را شکسته است.
5He has built against me, and surrounded me with gall and travail.
5به سختی و مشقت گرفتارم کرده است
6He has made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
6و مرا مانند کسی که سالها پیش مرده باشد، در تاریکی نشانده است.
7He has walled me about, that I can’t go forth; he has made my chain heavy.
7به دَورم دیوار کشیده و مرا با زنجیرهای سنگین بسته است و نمی توانم فرار کنم.
8Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
8هرقدر برای کمک دعا و زاری می کنم، او دعایم را نمی پذیرد.
9He has walled up my ways with cut stone; he has made my paths crooked.
9راه مرا از هر سو با دیوارهای سنگی مسدود و پُر از پیچ و خم ساخته است.
10He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.
10او مانند خرسی در کمین من نشسته و مثل شیری برای حمله بر من آماده است.
11He has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
11مرا از راهم به گوشه ای برد و پاره پاره نمود و رهایم کرد.
12He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
12کمان خود را کشید و مرا هدف تیرهای خود قرار داد.
13He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.
13تیرهایش در اعماق قلبم فرو رفتند.
14I am become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
14مردم مرا مسخره می کنند و تمام روز به من می خندند.
15He has filled me with bitterness, he has sated me with wormwood.
15با سختیها و مصیبت ها زندگی را برای من تلخ ساخته است.
16He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with ashes.
16رویم را به خاک مالید و دندانهایم را با سنگچل شکست.
17You have removed my soul far off from peace; I forgot prosperity.
17سعادت و سلامتی را از من گرفته است.
18I said, My strength is perished, and my expectation from Yahweh.
18گفتم: «همه چیز من زوال شد و امید من از خداوند قطع گردید.»
19Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
19وقتی دربدری و مصیبتهای خود را بیاد می آورم، زندگی به کامم تلخ می شود.
20My soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
20همیشه به آن ها فکر می کنم و جانم در من پریشان گشته است.
21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope.
21اما با اینهم، وقتی رنجهایم به یادم می آیند، نا امید نمی شوم:
22It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail.
22از مهربانی های خداوند است که از بین نرفته ایم، زیرا که رحمت های او بی پایان است.
23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
23مهربانی و رحمت او هر صبح تازه است و وفاداری او عظیم.
24Yahweh is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
24خداوند همه چیز من است، بنابراین بر او امیدوارم.
25Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
25خداوند بر کسانی که بر او توکل دارند و در طلب او هستند، مهربان است.
26It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh.
26پس بهتر است که انسان امیدوار باشد در خاموشی منتظر باشد تا خداوند او را نجات بدهد.
27It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
27برای انسان بهتر است که یوغ سختیها را در جوانی خود متحمل گردد.
28Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
28به تنهایی بنشیند و خاموش باشد، زیرا که او آنرا بر وی نهاده است.
29Let him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
29پس در حضور خداوند فروتن شده، شاید هنوز امیدی باقی باشد.
30Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled full with reproach.
30وقتی کسی بخواهد او را بزند، رخسارۀ خود را پیش کند و اهانت را تحمل نماید.
31For the Lord will not cast off forever.
31زیرا خداوند او را برای همیشه ترک نمی کند.
32For though he cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
32هرچند خداوند کسی را محزون سازد، لیکن از روی کثرت مهربانی های خود بر او رحمت خواهد فرمود.
33For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
33چونکه بنی آدم را از دل خود نمی رنجاند و محزون نمی سازد.
34To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,
34وقتی اسیران و ستمدیدگان جهان پایمال می شوند،
35To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
35هنگامی که حق یک انسان در حضور خداوند متعال تلف می گردد
36To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn’t approve.
36و زمانی که در حق شخصی در محکمه بی عدالتی می شود، خداوند همۀ این را می بیند.
37Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
37هیچ امری بدون اراده و رضای خداوند اجراء نمی شود.
38Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
38خیر و شر فقط به فرمان خداوند متعال نازل می شود.
39Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
39پس چرا یک انسان فانی از جزائی که بخاطر گناهان خود می بیند، شکایت کند؟
40Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.
40بیائید رفتار و کردار خود را در زندگی بررسی کنیم و بیازمائیم و بسوی خداوند بازگردیم.
41Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” in the heavens.
41بیائید با تمام قلب، دست دعا را بسوی خدائی که در آسمان است، بلند کنیم
42We have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.
42و بگوئیم: «ای خداوند، چون ما گناهکاریم و از فرمان تو سرکشی کرده ایم، تو ما را نبخشیده ای.
43You have covered with anger and pursued us; you have killed, you have not pitied.
43با خشم و غضب در تعقیب ما بوده ای و بیرحمانه ما را هلاک کردی.
44You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
44چون بر ما خشمگین بودی خود را از ما پنهان کردی تا دعاهای ما به حضور تو نرسند.
45You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.
45تو ما را پیش مردم جهان همچون خاکروبه و مواد فاضله ساختی.
46All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
46تمام دشمنان ما، به ما اهانت می کنند.
47Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.
47با هلاکت و بربادی روبرو شده ایم و خوف وحشت ما را فرا گرفته است.
48My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
48بخاطر نابودی قومم، سیل اشک از چشمانم جاریست.
49My eye pours down, and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,
49اشک از چشمانم بدون وقفه جاریست و باز نمی ایستد
50Until Yahweh look down, and see from heaven.
50تا خداوند از آسمان به پائین بنگرد و حال ما را ببیند.
51My eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
51دلم بخاطر حال رقتبار دختران جوان اورشلیم مالامالِ غم است.
52They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
52دشمنان مرا همچون پرنده ای بدام انداختند، در حالیکه آزاری به آن ها نرسانده ام.
53They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
53مرا زنده در چاه افگندند و بر سرم سنگها را ریختند.
54Waters flowed over my head; I said, I am cut off.
54آب از سرم گذشت و فکر کردم که می میرم.
55I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.
55ای خداوند، از اعماق چاه پیش تو گریه و زاری کردم.
56You heard my voice; don’t hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
56فریاد مرا شنیدی و به ناله های من گوش دادی.
57You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don’t be afraid.
57وقتی بحضور تو دعا کردم، آمدی و گفتی: «نترس!»
58Lord, you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life.
58خداوندا، تو از حق من دفاع کردی و از مرگ نجاتم دادی.
59Yahweh, you have seen my wrong. Judge my cause.
59تو ای خداوند، شاهد ظلم هائی که در حق من کرده اند، بوده ای، پس به داد من برس و به دعوای من رسیدگی کن.
60You have seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.
60تو می دانی که دشمنان همه از من نفرت دارند و علیه من دسیسه می سازند.
61You have heard their reproach, Yahweh, and all their devices against me,
61خداوندا، تو شنیده ای که آن ها چگونه به من اهانت کرده و علیه من توطئه چیده اند.
62The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
62دشمنانم تمام روز در بارۀ من سخنان زشت می گویند و برای آزار من نقشه می کشند.
63You see their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their song.
63در همه حال به من می خندند و مسخره ام می کنند.
64You will render to them a recompense, Yahweh, according to the work of their hands.
64خداوندا، آن ها را به سزای اعمال شان برسان.
65You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
65آن ها را لعنت کن تا گرفتار غم و درد شوند.با خشم و غضب آن ها را تعقیب کن و از روی زمین محو ساز.»
66You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Yahweh.
66با خشم و غضب آن ها را تعقیب کن و از روی زمین محو ساز.»
