¹“‘If anyone sins, in that he hears the voice of adjuration, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn’t report it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

¹قربانی گناه در موارد ذیل واجب می شود: اگر کسی از گناه کسی اطلاع داشته باشد و از آنچه که دیده و یا آگاه شده است در محکمه شهادت ندهد، گناهکار شمرده می شود.

²“‘Or if anyone touches any unclean thing, whether it is the carcass of an unclean animal, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and it is hidden from him, and he is unclean, then he shall be guilty.

²یا اگر کسی سهواً به لاشۀ یک حیوان مرده که نظر به حکم شریعت نجس محسوب می شود دست بزند و بعد متوجه گردد که سهو کرده است، مجرم می باشد.

³“‘Or if he touches the uncleanness of man, whatever his uncleanness is with which he is unclean, and it is hidden from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty.

³اگر کسی سهواً نجاست انسان را لمس کند و وقتی متوجه خطای خود گردد، گناهکار محسوب می شود.

⁴“‘Or if anyone swears rashly with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatever it is that a man might utter rashly with an oath, and it is hidden from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty of one of these.

⁴یا اگر شخصی غفلتاً قسم بخورد که کار خوب یا بد می کند و بعد متوجه شود که چه کار کرده است، خطاکار می باشد.

⁵It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned:

⁵اگر کسی در یکی از این موارد مجرم باشد، باید به گناه خود اعتراف کند

⁶and he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin.

⁶و برای کَفارۀ گناه خود یک گوسفند یا بز میش را برای قربانی به حضور خداوند بیاورد و کاهن آنرا برایش قربانی کند.

⁷“‘If he can’t afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

⁷اما اگر شخص مجرم بنابر مضیقۀ مالی نتواند گوسفند یا بزی را تهیه کند، بجای آن می تواند دو قمری یا دو کبوتر جوانه بیاورد ـ یکی را جهت قربانی گناه و دیگری را برای قربانی سوختنی.

⁸He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering, and wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely.

⁸آن ها را به کاهن بدهد و او اول پرنده ای را که برای قربانی گناه آورده است بگیرد، سرش را ببُرد اما از تنش جدا نکند.

⁹He shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering.

⁹بعد کمی از خون قربانی گناه را گرفته بر سر قربانگاه بپاشد و بقیه را در پای قربانگاه بریزد. این قربانی برای کَفارۀ گناه است.

¹⁰He shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the ordinance; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven.

¹⁰سپس پرندۀ دوم را طبق مقررات شریعت، بعنوان قربانی سوختنی تقدیم کند. به این ترتیب، کاهن کَفارۀ گناهی را می کند که آن شخص مرتکب شده است و از گناه پاک می شود.

¹¹“‘But if he can’t afford two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he shall bring his offering for that in which he has sinned, the tenth part of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

¹¹اگر بازهم قدرت خرید دو قمری یا دو کبوتر را نداشته باشد، پس بعوض، یک کیلو آرد اعلی جهت قربانی گناه بیاورد، اما نباید آنرا با روغن زیتون مخلوط کند و یا کُندُر بر آن بگذارد، زیرا این، قربانی گناه می باشد.

¹²He shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as the memorial portion, and burn it on the altar, on the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. It is a sin offering.

¹²بعد آرد را به کاهن بدهد و او یک مشت آرد را بعنوان نمونه گرفته برای خداوند بر سر قربانگاه بسوزاند. این، قربانی گناه است.

¹³The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned in any of these things, and he will be forgiven; and the rest shall be the priest’s, as the meal offering.’”

¹³به این ترتیب، کاهن کَفارۀ گناه او را در هر یک از این موارد می کند و گناه آن شخص بخشیده می شود. باقیماندۀ این قربانی، مثل هدیه آردی، به کاهن تعلق می گیرد.»

¹⁴Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴خداوند به موسی فرمود:

¹⁵“If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly, in the holy things of Yahweh; then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh, a ram without blemish from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

¹⁵«اگر شخصی سهواً در دادن نذری که در نظر خداوند مقدس است، کوتاهی کرده باشد، او باید قوچی را که سالم و بی عیب باشد، بعنوان قربانی جبران خطا برای خداوند بیاورد. قیمت آن قوچ باید مطابق نرخ روز، معادل نقره تعیین شده باشد. این قربانی، قربانی جبران خطا می باشد.

¹⁶He shall make restitution for that which he has done wrong in the holy thing, and shall add a fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁶برعلاوۀ پرداخت قرض، او باید بیست فیصد آنرا هم به آن بیفزاید و به کاهن بدهد. کاهن با آن قربانی، کَفارۀ خطای او را کرده آن شخص از گناه پاک می شود.

¹⁷“If anyone sins, and does any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done; though he didn’t know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁷هرگاه شخصی سهواً از بجا آوردن یکی از احکام خداوند غفلت ورزد، مجرم می باشد و باید جرم آن را بپردازد.

¹⁸He shall bring a ram without blemish from of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning the thing in which he sinned and didn’t know it, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁸او باید یک قوچ را که سالم و بی عیب باشد بیاورد و قیمت آن به نرخ روز تعیین شده باشد. کاهن آن قوچ را به عنوان کَفارۀ خطای او تقدیم کند تا از گناه پاک شود.این، قربانی جبران خطا است، چون او در حضور خداوند مجرم می باشد.»

¹⁹It is a trespass offering. He is certainly guilty before Yahweh.”
